not sure how to check.. but i'm on Tmobile preorder unit.
screen was 3rd down the list after Android System and OS
90% on wifi. No game play, and watched a movie on netflix on wifi.
the battery page has got to be a reporting bug as I can't see how Android system can take up that much battery.

T-mobile is always Snapdragon version.
You can use this app to get system info: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.finalwire.aida64&hl=en
Got it today. Set all my settings, downloaded GB of stuff, few restarts, half an hour Asphalt 8, 4G/ WLAN, automatic brightness, no batterysaver active
I think this is really nice
Antutu i've testet was at 129k points
Nice to, but would be better soon

Is this stock, right out of the box? Or have you debloated the ROM using package disabler or whatever it's called?

I've ran package disabler pro and disabled ALL but two or three bloatware apps.
My new S7 had a reasonable day I guess. Not too impressive but ok.
5Hr SOT fully drained.
A bit of GearVR and a bit of nav via google maps and the rest browsing.
I thought it might be better but im glad its not worse.
Happy enough.
4+ sot with auto brightness. About 1.5 hrs of deezer and 1hr of hearthstone.
Rest is twitch and a bit of browsing.
Also 1hr+ calls
I heard that Exynos has better scores on running browsers.
So the Snapdragon may not last as long as Exynos when browsing? Did I interpret it.correctly?
I use my phone very heavy on web browsing and I am on Verizon network using S6 currently. The rooted S5 runs smoother than unrooted S6 and lasts longer.

Maybe but dipends on the usage.
As the Note 4 with the Exynos a lot of people got very good battery life, even little bit more than snapdragon
Been using this phone for over a month now and always has bad battery life as compared to what others are getting.. about 4 hours sot with over 20 hours on battery and it used to reach 10% battery level ?.. yeah it's bad... So I unlocked, rooted and installed greenify and amplify and amplify showed the cause... Take a look at this.. so the only way to fix this is to flash a custom stock based ROM right ?
I'm worried about that rijl wake lock.. radio issues ? I always keep my phone on 2g to get even batter battery life but sad situation for me here folks
thinking 4-5 is bad because you got 10 once. Hm...
I don't think anyone has been able to get 10 hours screen on time on a single charge on any phone.......

Sure! Easy, just depends on what you do...
Just remove all the Google Apps, especially Google Now. It's wakelocking the phone like crazy, because it's recording your location for example.

oh man i am so sorry the way i framed my sentence.. i meant 10% battery life lol my apologies. and when i mean others, they usually get 5h sot or more
RILJ is caused by Google Play Services, not by OP3 itself.
Get rid off GApps or just deal with it.
Hi! I just bought my pixel 2xl and have had it for about a week. As soon as I got it I flashed havoc on it and noticed very poor battery life. Was getting about 3hrs sot with very normal usage. Weird. No games or anything. Just YouTube and social media. Only thing I can think of is I was at school and some areas have poor service but on my one plus 6t that was never an issue. I know it has a bigger battery and more efficient processor than the 2xl but the difference shouldn't be 6hrs of sot worth. Any advice? I love the ability to customize so I don't want a very plain rom but if battery life is stellar I'm open to all option. Thank you!

Personal experience, I get similar on-screen time on stock or AospEX or Liquid. As for kernel, Evira or Cesium are both good for me. I would try a couple different roms in their basic form and decide what suits your needs them start working on maximising battery second to that. The blackened script does a great job along side all that I listed above.
I've been running pixel dust for a few days and that's been better. Not good but better. Around 4hrs sot.

I m getting 6 to 7 hrs SOT WITH AOSIP with normal usage more browsing and music and YouTube.
My battery will almost never be better than 4ish hours screen time. The signal strength here sucks in most places so always searching. Lol

+1 on AOSIP with built-in caesium kernel and BM; I also use AquariOS with caesium or Kirisakura kernel with BM. Both have been very stable and good battery life. The main reason I use these is that Verizon VM, volte and WiFi calling work.
Sorry for being OT, but where do I find AOSIP for taimen?

Weird. I installed blackened mod and left the kernel alone. Down to 90 percent with ab 30 minutes sot. Haven't been off my phone since I woke up. Haven't don't anything but reply to emails, scrolled on Twitter for a few mins, and watched like one YouTube video. Is that normal? It seems quite high of a drain compared to my past OnePlus phones.

Don't use any mod. It will fine.
For me Dirty Unicorns with stock (Unicornblood) kernel has been stellar.

Not at all. Same as stock. Unless it's a janky rom
Where can I find more info on AOSIP?
Can see the download link above and would like the best battery friendly ROM as well. Or would stock be best?
My only issue with stock is the light backgrounds and no root for adaway, etc. There are apps such as blockada that is said to work well but have not tried it.
Thanks for the feedback here, can't find anything on AOSIP. No feature list or screens or why the consensus from posters here would be that this one is near the top in terms of battery life.
Hi all after some advice
Picked up a used OP5T a week ago from a popular auction site
Running OOS 9.0.6 with Franco Kernel/TWRP/Magisk/unlocked bootloader
Getting an average of three and a half hours SOT and I am a light user do not game or social media
Do I need a new battery?

For two days battery usage I'd say that's a pretty fair sot. Your phone should be fine. Probably try a different kernel with better standby time.

Sot depends on your usage and what apps you use tho. Everyone will be different . Remember those who get 6 hours charge their phone every day atleast.

I wouldnt blame the battery. I would blame play services. 35% used by play services seems huge.
I got like 1 or 2% from play service.
Maybe remove all google accounts and clear cache and data from all google stuff and then add accounts again.
Something doesnt seem right there i think.
Are you using FK manager? If not, I think it's still free in the play store. It's definitely worth having (free offer or not).
For Magisk try ENABLE DOZE on Google Play Services: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-enable-doze-google-play-services-t3608783
The zip for Magisk 19 module is linked near the top of the thread: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Nw6xHIhOPz06j4FqD-geAnMCz2NzPKX/view?usp=drivesdk
Put the zip in your download folder and flash with Magisk Manager. (You won't find it by searching Magisk modules in the manager app; you have to install it manually.)

Still you should investigate on the play service or the new battery wont change much
So I bought this phon about 3 weeks ago.
One of the primary reasons was the battery life since I'm not usually near a power supply.
But I've been struggling to get past 5 hours of screen on time on light to medium use.
Standby time is great though. No battery drain, but the moment I start using it, it starts tanking and like 1% every 3mins or so. I struggle to get a full day of use.
I'm running the May uodate, I updated while it was new so I don't know the performance before the update.
I've already reset once and wiped cache. Even in safe mode battery is still weak.
I need help fixing this.

It's decent 3G. Usually 3 bars when I'm at home, 4G at work but I use wi-fi there.
I wake up around 5am and by the time I leave at around 7 I'll be at around 80%. After just reading articles and scheming through social media
Right now I've been browsing Reddit and Tapatalk for the past 30mins and I'm already down 7% brightness is at minimum and I'm on 3G

I have now after 9 hours where I played the last 2,5 hours music and now 55%. Screen on time is 2 hours
yes battery life is not good for 4000 mah .for exemple redmi note 7 with same 4000 mah get way more battery life than a50 . for me i get 7 to 8 hours sot mixed wifi and 3g in one day ( 18 hours to be exact) .it drain 10 % in 9 hours when screen off .samsung need to improve battery life in future updates
Here's a quick tip
Samsung devices tend to drain a lot of battery because of app background usage
try to put apps to sleep ( apps that you need them only when you open them)
Also activate medium power saving if you need more battery
With normal use am getting around 9-10 and sometimes 11 SOT
With games and heavy use i get 6-7 SOT
all of this without any power saving option .
I debloted and now getting almost 9 hours of sot on normal usage on 4g always and dual sim on.. I mainly use for watching videos on youtube. Chatting telegram and whatsapp and calls 1 hour per day

How was the battery life before debloat. My phone didn't come with that much bloatware. It's not the Indian version and still on May update and there's virtually no stand by drain. Battery is significantly worse when using 3G
