hello everyone ..
I'm trying to access my phone with correct password but i found that work profile is enabled with different lock screen password i didn't set any work profiles before when i searched for that problem i found that using cloned apps make work profile to be enabled automatically
Now my phone is locked with an important data on it So, I really do hope there is a way to get access to those data. And I'd be extremely grateful if someone could help me out with this.

Hello everyone.
Somehow I managed to lock myself out of my own phone using the pincode screen lock. I've tried a few trouble shooting solutions which I found online, including downloading something from my computers google play store. Nothing seems to be working and I was wondering if anyone here knew how to help me out?
I've using a sprint galaxy s3 with cm-10.2.0-RC1 mod and I can still access TWRP.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
unfortunately your only option is probably a factory reset, cache and dalvik wipe.
you can do a backup first, reset and probably then restore data for your apps and their data, that probably doesn't include the pin settings which would be saved in the system settings (I would think)
Have you tried using your Google account to recover your lock code?

tried this today, apparently the pin is saved to the data. that was the only part of the backup I couldn't restore.

I was unaware I could do this, do you have any more information on how to do this?

You might try using an app like MyBackupPro and do a selective backup of apps and their data and not use the recovery restore.
Only thing I could find on pin and google account was for wallet and voice, admittedly I didn't spend more than a few minutes googling it. Figured I'd take a look as well, for ya.
Good luck
EDIT: there is an app for that https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.thomascannon.screenlockbypass.pro&hl=en

According to Google, if you enter a bad pattern 5 times you should see an option for "forgot pattern," which you can use to log into your Google account and bypass the lockscreen.

that's what I thought too, but I'm thinking cyanogenmod disables this feature. Its told me on numerous occasions "you got the password wrong 15 times, please wait 30 seconds then try again"

Hm. No idea there, but if that's the case then perhaps it's possible that there is a way to flash a patch to restore that functionality.

Flash this in recovery. Phone will be unlocked on boot. This is safe to use on ANY phone where u cannot pass the screen lock. Made by me so please don't do nothing unethical with it

worked like a charm. you sir, are amazing. thank you!
Thanks for the bypass alternative, Billard.
As an epilogue to this thread, I'd like to share a discovery. It turns out that there IS an option for "forgot password," but if you use a PIN instead of a Pattern with a PIN backup then you'll never know. It's squarely centered at the bottom of the screen if you get your pattern wrong too many times and don't decide to use your backup PIN.
Basically, some (I'm going to guess) intern had this bright idea for increasing security... And so what we've wound up with are two neighboring options on the scale of security levels: the PIN option with zero official redundancies, or the Pattern+PIN option with its TWO redundancies. Why the pattern gets more outs than the Mets on any given day, while the PIN is as rigid and unforgiving as a Catholic school matron, I can't begin to fathom. Go figure, huh?
Maybe somebody who's a lot smarter than I am can figure out how to copy that function and incorporate it into the rest of the lock options for future ROMs.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it,
-Zen
Hey everyone,
Just got a New LG G3 and post a factory reset the device is asking for a McAfee PIN which was never setup. Is there anyway to skip this and move onto the homescreen? This screen has locked the device and no options work except the emergency call option.
Attached is a screenshot of the same.

Thats not going to work as its a lock which shows up before even setting up the phone if you do a factory reset. Spoke to support at Mcafee too who also could not fix it.

Reflash the stock firmware for your device

Get a new phone. Something is wrong. I wonder what LG thought McAfee should give in user plus. You have to root to get rid of it, clever thinking
This is what happens if a half baked feature incorporated into a released device(I say it is half baked, it never should ask for a pin if the pin is not at all set at the first place & McAfee should have a solution to this problem). This is the 3rd or 4th thread that is opened on this issue, within last few days. Hopefully, McAfee or LG quickly find a solution for this, so that users don't suffer.
To OP, as some one suggested please try to flash the stock firmware(if it is possible).
Revoking administration privileges was the first thing I did when I got this phone.

Tried to talk to different representatives from Mcafee and they could not find a solution but anyway I have got this solved by going to the app and resetting it before the lock could show up. Will be writing down later on the complete procedure.
Thanks to everyone for contributing.

u cannot root this device when its lock by mcafee because of kill switch. so u have to think smart.
try to go to setting, in setting> guest> set a code for guest after it turn on guest option. than restart your device, before comming mcafee put the petern as guest... after this u have to go again in administration, at that time u will see mcafee will not come, and u can easily goto the mcafee app, after going on set your number as a buddy number, after setting buddy number, turn your phone off, insert sim and start it again. macafee will again apear... at that time click on send the code to buddy, proceed it.
this code will be applicable for an hour, so if u got the buddy code, after geting pin code u have to change the pic code to new one... after doing this procedure mcafee pin will be change.. and u can use this device
hope you got my point,:good: you dont need to root your device

by mistake I turned on guest mode and now after restart it shows only 4 apps on main screen which were allowed in guest mode setting, no setting, So what steps should I take to turn off it?

Hi,
The main point of his workaround was to successfully open mcafee app.
why?
- because it has a feature where you can add buddy numbers.
- buddy numbers can be used to retrieve the unknown pin (not the actual pin but a temporary one which you can use to get past the pin log-in screen) through sending temporary pins to the buddy list.
- mcafee will ask for a new pin combination after the pin requirement screen.
P.S As long as you can open mcafee app, you are fine. I also don't have any workaround aside from what the OP posted.
yes . go to guest mode and turn screen off an on again put admin lock pin and go to mcafee app and set up buddy number @mDaynal you are great

And thank you :good:

If you are logged in to your Samsung account, then try Find My Mobile. The Unlock option only wipes off the screen lock info and biometrics.
Google's Find My Device is more limited in that respect, but you can check it out as well.

This is your first post and you're asking us to help you break or bypass Google's security on this device for you.
You can see how we might be a teeny-weeny bit suspicious about your motives.
It is easy. Contact Google Support and they will help you recover old password. Or contact them with Pixel C invoice and they can help you too.
But how?

I have had the same problem with my Google pixel C tablet after my nephew changed my password. I decided to do a hard reset (big mistake!) and I also had not used it in a long while and apparently I made a new gmail account when I originally logged into my pixel c and tried every old email i could recall to no avail. I just recently found a Google support forum and tried to get help on there and they elected to send me to xda as they posted a link to your pixel c forum and that was after I told them that I could not remember the original email used but I had the receipt for the device from google.com. they still said that would make no difference and that I was basically screwed. Is there anything that I can do to get my tablet back and up and running?
Hi Guys. My device is SM-950F and I was able to root with the Latest TWRP and Magisk 20.1 .
My installing sequence was;
flashing TWRP after enabling OEM UNLOCK
flashing the encryption and lock bypass zips through TWRP right after restarting to recovery.
Installing Elementx 2.11 together with MAGISK 20.1 via TWRP
Finally Restarted the system without choosing the option to install TWRP App
Set up all welcoming pages without setting up any accounts because I already have my backup ready via Smart Switch
I tried to set up my Samsung Account with the correct password afterwards, it showed me the agreement and so on... pressed agree and it said " Process Failed" and sent me back to login page and this loop continued whenever I wanted to set Samsung Pass as well.
I tried to set up Lock Screen with fingerprint which forced me to set up either pattern, pin or password in the beginning. I setup the pattern but couldn't back it up on Samsung cloud so LockScreen does not stay on what I set because of that I guess . When you set a pin , it doesn't accept your pin either as well as password. As if it is not enough , when you restart your phone you are faced with the restart loop where the sim card pin screen appears and disappears after 10 seconds same thing. You can not start your system unless you go back to recovery and flash an official rom again
Is there something I should do after restarting the system like installing Ex Kernel Manager app which I figured is not a free app and enable something within the app or download a patch within Magisk Manager for Samsung not to see the root. Because without rooting everything works flawlessly on the same rom :crying:
Please help!!!
Update: Ok guys I solved it. After researching and trying some other new things I found out that I needed to use TGP Kernel instead of Element X which fixed all my problems
I hope someone else might also benefit from this thread because it drove me crazy to not to be able to use my phone for 1 week ...

Telegram is a bit different in groups. But yea most of these guys will want some form of payment. A lot of us use Telegram now just cause of the quickness and capabilities
