After updating to A13, the following happens. Fast charging is disabled in the options, but when connected to the charger, it still registers fast charging. Charger and cable are original. After the update, it was restored to factory settings. Is this happening to anyone else?SD version
It happens to me too but reversed. I want to use fast charging, but it doesn't seems to work. My phone is charging slower than before even with fast charge.
My settings were not restored after updating.
some permissions and default app choices were reset for me. fast charging was off as well, but works fine after turning it on.
Maybe HR can help

Alright, so i have an Xperia ZL, bought from the internet. Everything workes seamlessly, in meantime i installed CM 10.2 on the phone. It worked perfectly, until yesterday. It wouldn't charge and wouldn't connect to PC anymore. I mean, when turned one, with charging sounds activating, and connected it to the PC, it would constantly make the sound, the charging icon appearing and disappearing like once per second, and after some time, it wouldnt find the USB cable at all.. Same thing when charging. Tried different USB cables, same thing at PC, same thing at charging. I tried wiping cache, dalvik cahe, wiping data, nothing worked. The only way i can charge it, somehwat, is when i turn it off, and plug charger in. It would show me Free Xperia logo, and then a big battery. SOMETIMES it shows the battery and the charging light, sometimes the battery without the charging light. I noticed it only charges, obviously, with the charging light on.. It's really a pain, and i want to solve it. Any ideas?
Thanks for the attention.
For a few weeks I've had intermittent problems with my phone not detecting the USB connection and randomly turning itself on. After a while, these problems stopped and some new problems appeared. Now the phone is always detected on USB, but refuses to charge saying Charging paused, battery temperature too high. It does this every time I try to charge it. If the phone is off, it shows a yellow triangle with a thermometer. Along with this the softkeys and home button quit working at the same time.
So far I have tried resetting to factory default, a new battery and replacing the USB charging flex port and it still won't charge. Monitoring programs show the temp fixed at 60C and never moves. Is there a replacement I can get for the temperature sensor or some way to disable the check? I am rooted and am willing to try anything. Right now it's looking like I may need a new motherboard.
I have ordered a wall charger so I can at least use the phone and I downloaded a softkey app so I have buttons again.
I have H818p on Marshmallow, everything stock. Yesterday i used the phone until battery goes very low i.e, 3 %. After that some strange things happened, at 2 % battery remaining , it stopped calling feature and then turned off. Later i charged it and turned ON again, from that time i am facing these weird issues, details are as :
1. No more connection with Laptop for data , only shows charging, and there are no options to change it.
2. Charging of phone stopped. now nothing happen when connect to charger. Until i reset the phone everytime after connecting charger then it starts charging. But also Only upto the time until charger is connected. If once i remove it, then again needed to reset phone to start charging. It seems phone pick charging only when its Off. also until its connected with charger.
3. very slow charging. whenever charging start, its very very slow. taking 5 hours now on Original charger.
I was a die die hard fan of LG, using from G Pro to G2, G3 and now G4. but these issue really annoying and changing my mind from LG. Please help me to solve this.
I had almost the same problems a month ago and they started from nowhere (slow charging, no connection with PC). I tried cleaning the port that didn't help. As strange as it sound all problems ware gone when i flashed a fresh KDZ with LGUP. At first my PC wasn't detecting the phone in Download mode so i tried like 10/15 times and it installed the drivers eventually. So yeah ... go figure ..... i hope this is helpful
Try replacing stock battery or stock charger/cable or the poster said about flashing fresh kdz via lgup
Hi
I flashed lineage 14.1 OS over the manufacturers stock ROM about 3 weeks ago. The Lineage ROM had issues BUT the battery was still charging normally. (Worth noting that the battery was also charging perfectly fine on when the manufacturers Rom was still installed). Seeing as Lineage 14.1 had a host of other issues, I then flashed AOKP's version of Pie with GAPPS Micro. At first, the battery would charge until 53%. However after it drained to 0%, it has not charged properly since. (6 days or so).
A) Battery is about 6 months old, so relatively new
B) non-charge problem started with installation of AOKP version of Pie
C) I have used a couple of battery health apps, which reveal the following:-
c.1) Battery health is fine
c2) Voltage 3.5V (essentially 0% charge)
c3) amperage averaging around 30mA
c4) Battery Manager and other apps state that the battery is "connected but not able to charge"
D) I have tried deleting the batterystats.bin file, which had no affect
E) I have tried using recalibration apps off Google Play Store with no affect.
F) I have cleaned the USB port and tried different cables, also with no affect.
I'm going to try flash another OS shortly. Other than that my last idea is to purchase a new battery. HOWEVER just thought I'd ask if anyone has any other bright ideas as to what might have happened to a perfectly functional battery? Another thing worth mentioning is that the power button on this device doesn't 'click' anymore. So one cannot feel that the button has been pressed, you have to press harder to ensure that the device powers on. It was like that for a long time before this battery problem started but thought I'd mention it. Can a faulty power button be causing a massive power drain on the battery OR be stopping it from charging?
EDIT - when the phone is off and plugged in to the charger, the battery icon shows it as "charging". However if I leave it for a few hours and switch the phone on again, it still reflects as 0% charged and only switches on with the power cable attached. Also I cannot get into recovery mode, after shutting down, unless I leave the phone plugged in and "charging" for a while. It's like recovery mode needs at least some power from the battery.

Does anyone know of a battery app/ software that one can run in recovery mode OR prior to booting? I'm wondering if this battery problem is software related or hardware related.

Now, it appears, I cannot even boot into TWRP recovery. I suspect the non-charging battery is the problem.

You won't believe it!!! After trying every solution known to man, turns out that the battery just doesn't sit snugly in the phone, so it doesn't make good contact. ???*♂??
Charging now that I manually pushed it up against the contacts.
I recently flashed the ACC module on my pixel to control the charge limit with the AccA interface but now my pixel does not charge unless plugged into my laptop. I disabled the Acc module, removed it but nothing seems to work, it still refuses to charge when its under the charge limit and plugged into my charger.
It sometimes randomly starts charging but almost never till the charge limit I had set. I have restarted my device and yet nothing has changed, would be great if someone could help.
UPDATE: Charging is fine after a fresh install of Acc module and disabling temperature control.
Reinstall AccA and make sure the latest ACC is installed. Mess with the settings? Try to set to default.

Tried it, doesn't work. It started charging 10 seconds after plugging it in then it stopped, no idea why.
Even the charge to __% without restrictions is acting up. Will post new updates soon.
UPDATE: The charging is working fine, seems to me the issue was the temperature control so I disabled it and now it's fine.
