Hi guys
Has anyone found a nice slim case that offers excellent protection all round that they would recommend and that also works with a tempered glass?
Please do share pics, links or suggestions.

the black case came yesterday and it is perfect, highly recommended.
it has nicer cutouts and a nicer feel in hand than the jelly one that came with it.
it kinda feels like holding the phone with no case and fits perfectly snug.
maybe a bit slippery but i hated that sticky tpu jelly poop :good::fingers-crossed:
I ordered this one yesterday. Spigen has always served me best
Spigen Liquid Air Case
I've bought original xiaomi case , but it doesnt cover the glass at the bottom of screen.

That's good to hear in terms of its fit, on the rear is it a bit raised by the camera module and in the front for the screen for protection? Are you using a tempered glass with it? Thanks :good:

Case arrived today. I love how it fits perfectly. It has a very nice texture at the back for extra grip. The power and volume buttons are very tactile. The lips are raised enough to protect the screen very well. The fingerprint scanner cutout is designed beautifully that your finger just slides over it.
I have bought this Nilkin Hard Case for my Redmi 5 Plus, superb quality and it fits absolutely perfect to the device.

While using it with tempered glass i get bubbles in the screen guard. Do you recommend using it with tempered glass?

I don't think tempered glass would fit perfectly with thos case. As this case edges are very close to the display leaving little to no space at all. You can use tempered glass or plastic screen protector that does not cover the whole glass.
I am sharing some pictures for you to see how it fits on the phone.

Any difference between the 5D tempered glass over the normal tempered glass? Is it any good? Do share some pics of it

I didn't find any difference apart from it's curved so it covers curves at edges. Looks something like this :

Which screen protector are you using (if any) ?
I've just come across this one:

Case friendly too apparently
What do you guys think !
Still rocking the original screen protector from the factory. In search of the perfect glass protector though.
I'm using Nilkin HD+. Good finger print smudge protection. Case friendly. Only negative is is cut short. About 1 mm gap around. Slight rainbow effect on sides. Good for $10.

The problem is, the film ones don't protect against much. It will protect against light scratches and that's pretty much it.
The glass screen protects against light and heavy scratches and it also protects against screen breaks.

A Flip case protects the rest.
If there was a matte glass protector, that would be awesome.

I've never scratched a screen that had a pet film protector on it. The only thing I care about are the scratches. Most of the time when you drop your phone it lands on one of the corners so it doesn't matter if you have a glass protector on or not. I hate the extra thickness of the glass ones and I hate that they crack way too easily. I'd rather spend $1.50 on protectors than $5 or $10 for each one and then have them crack a week or two later.

When I 1st got my mate 20x I noticed it came with a flimsy plastic screen protector that you can peel off. But I also noticed another protector underneath. It looks glass. I want to remove it. Is this another screen protector also?

The first film is similar to what's on the back of the phone, it's merely a shipping protection film. The one underneath is a factory applied plastic screen saver. Most people chose to keep the factory applied one on until it scuffs up, some remove it as they prefer the feel of glass.

Mine fits samsung silicone just fine. Just line it up with your camera cut out. I'd imagine it would fit
I ordered the whitestone dome TG to use with the ringke slim and it looks like its either going to be a very tight fit or it wont fit. I dont want to attempt to fit it as il be returning it to amazon
Anyone find a good glass screen protector for the front?
The whitestone ones are not that great. Im going to try with a Hydrogel version
I have been using hydrogel and it's great. I even scratched the screen protector with a tool at work. I thought I had to replace it but a day later it's as good as new. I am very surprised at the self healing.

I am using the Spigen Glas with the Spigen Slim Fit P case and it is sized to fit nicely inside the front raised edges. I really like it for use with Spigen cases. Not sure how it will look with other cases with thinner edged front protectors.
My front and main screen protectors started developing small scratches. I'm too OCD to let that slide so I removed both of them. Much happier now, lol.

Yes, no screen protector in the box, and it is frustrating. I think Samsung is reducing the use of plastic so they are selling it separately you can try the Gadgetshieldz film screen protector which is really good and it is made from nano polymer and it can self-heal the scratches occur on it!

well they are pushing on using less plastic and going carbon neutral so that might be the reason orr..... might just be cost
Typically plastic film works less with yltrasonic sensors.
Try a glass one.
Mine came with a screen protector. I took it off and put a tempered glass on.
They do it so they can claim to be green while passing the waste and cost to the end consumer who's going to end up buying it all anyway.

I don't like it too but they are far more scratch resistant than plastic film. I have bought cheap hydrogel film from Aliexpress and fews days after, you already get some scratches. Same with a more expensive one, the Spigen Neoflex, totally useless as it scratches too easily.
So now, only tempered glass...

That's why I suggested a Gadgetshieldz film screen guard which is not completely plastic and it can heal the scratches as I'm using one, I don't see the scratches they all disappear within minutes!
yh no plastic but they include that first protector with the little tab that it's not meant to be used as a film protector.
I mean, they could just include a proper film to give the user the choice to either keep it or peel it off.
so no screen protector on the phone out of the box- and the reason is to reduce plastic waste. I got the official samsung screen protector from the samsung shop- there is four times the amount of plastic waste in the packing as well as the box it came in. This is a load of samsung BS , just another revenue stream to upsell

If Samsung sees this comment they will just give away the protector as usual! Plastic waste is just a concept for them to earn extra money for the protectors!!!

HELLOooooooo... why does ANYONE need some plastic garbage on top while phoen already is protected?! I NEVER EVER had any scratch on my screens... never.. It already have gorila glass. It takes talent scratch it. That's why samsung do not put plastic waste.
