Question How do I relock my Edge X30's bootloader? - Moto Edge X30

Nice to meet you, I'm Japanese.
I will ask you a question using Google Translate.
I purchased a Motorola Edge X30 and unlocked the bootloader, but I wanted to re-lock it, and there is no way to do so, so I asked a question.

You’re better off selling it unlocked.

If u relock it , your device will be broken

1 - Install the latest official rom for your device.
2 - Run this command: fastboot oem lock

That usually works.
Unless it doesn't work.

Non-Unlockable bootloader + Fastboot?

Hey guys,
I know that some phones bootloader cant be unlocked. I checked mine and of course mine couldnt be unlocked.
My phone is locked to Vodafone and for the love of god I would like to use CM10 on my Xperia Arc S.
Two questions.
1. Is there no possible way to unlock my bootloader?
I mean Sony does officially support unlocked bootloaders. I requested a unlock key and they sent it to me. (I read about having to call your carrier and getting a code of them which can cost up to 50€ or so?)
2. (This is just to make sure that im not failing at a simple task) You can´t Fastboot with "non-unlockable" bootloader correct?
If anyone knows how to install CM10 on a locked bootloader or how to unlock the bootloader with out having to a pay a ridiculous 50€ I would really appreciate it.
I mean I simply can not understand why I should not be allowed/able to unlock my bootloader on MY phone. Its like as if I buy a house and im not allowed to unlock the front door...
Thanks!

Yes, click the first link in my sig, which is a sticky in the general section which I wish People would visit instead of coming to Q&A to ask for answer that can be found in the stickys.
Thanks for the reply but I have read that post and I am a little unclear on something.
Primarily this:
There are three ways to Unlock yours, the Standard/Official method (For SimFree/Un-Branded Phones) which is explained HERE, (PLEASE NOTE! - You loose DRM when using the official method but not with the TestPoint) but if your Phone came from a Carrier then chances are (99%) you won't be able to use that method. There is a simple method of checking if you can or not which you'll find HERE.

Do you mean that the 2 ways under that quote are for people with locked sims or do you mean its generally not possible?
Sorry for the stupid question but id rather be safe than sorry.
Unlocking bootloader has nothing to do with locked SIMs.
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda premium

You need to use the third method as the first two are for SIM-Free, unbranded Phones.
Hmm seems like the only way it could be unlocked is if I pay for it.
Thats lame.
Thanks anyway.

Unlocked bootloader - Remove warning

Hi
I unlocked the bootloader when I first got the phone. I am going to sell it soon to make way for the Nexus 6P.
Is it possible to remove the bootloader unlocked warning when the phone first boots up?
Thanks for any advice.

If you're going to sell a device that is bootloader unlocked, you have to tell this the person you're selling it to, since it's no longer covered by the warranty. Don't tell me it is. Currently only the European model is unlockable and here in europe laws and regulations are unified among countries within the EU. I hope you do. Otherwise it's just fraudulent, but that's none of my business.

No, that command does not work on bootloader unlockable devices unless it's a Nexus/OPO/OPT/Huawei/Oppo and some older Motorola devices. etc.

Try Depixel8?
Depixel 8 doesn't work because the bootloader won't unlock

Change from Chinese rom to global rom.

Hi there I have the chance to get two of these good smartphones in China for a good price. The problem is that they have the Chinese rom on it and my parents need the italian language. Will it be possible to flash the global rom or just add the italian language?
Thanks.

Based on my experience b4 unlocking 5A, the only way you can switch from China to Global is to flash it via test point. Unless you've unlocked the phone, you could flash it via fastboot. Is your 5A unlocked yet?

Yep, that's all you need to do. After an unlock, you do have the option to relock your bootloader (which maybe you're already familiar with). The guide is on the miui forums. Good luck!

Yeah but with a locked bootloader, Xiaomi Tool still can't cross flash between China & Global.
Cinese to Global Redmi 5a. Yes you can
In phone settings >About phone>Miui version (click 7times) you will be a developer. back to settings>additionalSetting> developer option>
Turn_On_developer option
OEM UNLOCK_ON
USB DEBUGING_ON
You have to check here if your (Mi Unlock status)
if it shows your "device is locked" your phone is secured" check bellow there you have to add your Mi account. next turn phone OFF. volume down+power to start phone to FASTBOOT MODE. now login to PC. with same ACCOUNT, GO to miui unlock site download unlock app to pc login with miui account connect to Phone. click unlock. they will give you approx (360Hours)after 360 hours repeat procedure with pc. this time it will Unlocked. check mi status again in your phone. if its unlocked you can now download Miui Stable ROM from their site update your phone legally. i am new user here in xda so i am not allowed to share links here in xda.

I bought the Chinese version of MIX3, but I want to FLASHi the international ver。

I saw an international version of the ZIP package coming out. OTA cannot be upgraded directly.
What should I do?
thanks.
I prefer to FLASHthe Xiaomi International Edition ROM, which will retain more of Xiaomi's features.

Unlock bootloader, flash twrp, flash the global zip mentioned several times in the forum. Better with EU chinese ROM as more features than global

Thank you, but I saw the EU version of the ROM, can not re-lock the bootloader, do not know if there will be anything bad.

Correct. If you try and lock the bootloader on the EU Chinese ROM or Global it's good bye phone.
If you don't unlock bootloader you'll be stuck on the Chinese ROM forever.

Well what? If they want to lock the bootloader they can lock the bootloader.
That doesn't answer why! if it bricks the phone it might be useful to understand the process a bit fuller. I'm buying the Chinese version myself so want to be aware of why you'd want to lock the bootloader again

Return to stock, to sell, improve security, warranty etc
You'll only brick it if you install and lock the global ROM on a Chinese device, Chinese rom on a global device, or lock on the Chinese EU ROM
Cool. So if I get the Chinese one I'll put the EU one on.
I don't think I'd need to worry about locking the bootloader for a long time. I want this phone to last a few years and it seems reliable enough. And the processes will improve all the time.
Thanks!

Locking the bootloader is for certain applications and features that requires a more "secure" phone, since an unlocked bootloader is considered not "secure".
Payment Applications, Banking Applications, and DRM applications (Netflix) and such requires the phone to have a locked bootloader, or it will not work.

Are you forgetting Magisk? I'm unlocked since surviving 72 hours of stock locked hell. All my banking apps and Google pay have worked for the past 2 months.
BTW stock Chinese or Dev or Global are garbage compared to the EU version anyways.
