[BUILD] Galaxy S 5 - klte

Hi everyone
Well, I'm trying to build my first rom today, and after a lot of tutorial, still something I don't understand.
So, I want to start with the last AOSPA and for now, I don't really know how to put in the local_manifest file. I have found some Github with android_device_samsung_klte source (I guess ?), but I see a lot of local_manifest (for aospa) with vendor = pa_klte. Someone can explain me that ? x)
Other question, what's the command "brunch" is ? Seems to be used to build, but my Linux didn't recognize it...
So, to sum up, I looking for someone who had already build an AOSPA Rom, in order to help me to build the klte build !
I would like to see a version of Paranoid Android for the Galaxy S5 as well. I own the Verizon Developer Edition of the phone and am willing to test out Paranoid Android builds for it.
We will never officially support the s5
#stayparanoid
No problem about the "officialy supported".
Anyone to help me ?
After some tests... Same error...
Why will you never officially support the s5?

Can we fix Cyanogenmod12(cm12) bugs with the help of cyanogenmod11(cm11)?

I have been practicing c,c++,java, php, html since 5 years now i am making android apps its been 5 months doing that.I also have been rooting android devices and flashing custom roms since 2 years now I want to get my hands into porting Custom Roms for various devices. Since I dont know anything so I just want to know about how can I do this. Well making a complete rom will be not possible way to learn completely at once this is what I think. But now I am having two custom roms Cyanogenmod11 and Cyanogenmod12 for a low end device named Samsung galaxy fame gt-s6812 somebody has ported these roms for this device. Now, cm11 is working really very fine but cm12 having lot of bugs : 1.Microphone not working 2.Speaker not working 3.Unkown Baseband and IMEI number etc. I just thought that by just replacing some of the things like folders or files from cm11 to cm12 will work for this. Because many people are porting roms by just copying folders from one into another.
If this can be happened then which folders will get me rid of these bugs. Please help me out Links , explanations, videos anything which can give knowledge about all these stuffs. Thank you
Try to send @wulsic or @corsicanu a message, those two are main developers for out Galaxy Fame section.

Well, its not as easy as copy and pasting because in the cm12.1 repository there are made some changes which removes compatibility with jellybean 4.1 based binaries so we are using patches to add back that compatibility and also for telephony etc. So we are on the way to get a good working cm12.1 the build with which I am busy with should work much better as the cm12 alpha0.1 as the dpi, sound, performance, security, telephony, microphone, video playback should be fixed. The only problem I still have to find out is why the rom is stuck at starting apps. If you want you can help to get it fully working as I dont own the device and the fame from corsicanu is still broken I believe. If you want to start compiling cm12.1 for the fame then you can look in the general section there is a compiling tutorial but beware I must edit it/ make a new one for cm12.1 so if you want more help or info just contact me. I am not a pro with all these things but I can give you the basics :good:

No offense but you're the 3rd one to release a rom that has the exact same source as the original CM13 thread, and all others have been shutted down. You should invest your time helping the main branch fixing their stuff instead of dividing everybody. Releasing a ROM that is exactly the same with a different name is a total lack of respect to those who really worked hard to make this happen, plus your sources are not even public :/

I have no sources. I have published the link to the kernel source. Every Rom is based off CM tree and it is not the same. Its SLIM.

I'm pretty sure it's an XDA rule to publish the source of every rom/kernel. Otherwise it could contain malware/keylogger or could be fake. I took a look at SLIM's github and i didn't see anything related to the S6.
Dude you dont get it. According to XDA you should publish a source for the kernel and I did. Go ahead with the link I posted and it will direct you to the kernel source. It is not necessary that the kernel should belong to Slim.
I see no official source on your GitHub. Is this just a rebrand of CM 13 for S6?
Nevermind keep it coming

Dude, I used Slim rom sources and this device kernel and vendor tree and built the rom. There is no need for sources in my github. And Slim and CM are different. I am not just rebranding. I am building this from source.

Omg whats the issue with you guys? I gave credit for the developers, linked to the kernel tree of the actual developer and now what is that you people need?

Having a second ROM with same issues doesn't help at all. Why wouldn't you wait for it to be stable instead of releasing another alpha rom?

You could have pointed that out in the first post itself rather than us spamming this thread. I will remove the download link and keep this thread closed for now.

The only source required to be posted by GPLv2 and XDA requirements is kernel source. Also Slim and CM both have posted open permissions to build.

Device tree, Kernel source, Vendor blobs

Heya, I just got my hands on a J200H, and I get to keep it for a while.
As I was using it, I thought if there is any lineageos for it, and there is not.
Now it would be great if you guys point me where I can find Device tree, Kernel source, Vendor blobs for this device, so that I could start working on this device and add the repo to official lineageos server for build ( provided all things goes smoothly nearly one month is enough )
Also I saw some varients of this device, it would be great if you could add device models (the codes- like J200H) and their source codes too, I could try merging them into a universal source code and patch as universal makes less problem.
Thanks In advance! And any update will be posted here.
I doubt if the things mentioned are available.
But if the are really willing to do this than this can be useful .

Question Nethunter Build help [Kernel / System]

Hey xdas,
i just received my new Samsung Galaxy z Fold 4
SAOMC_SM-F936B_OXM_EUX_12_0045 EUX /-/EUX/EUX
Kernel : 5.10.81-afaneh92-gd8d6af751972 (flashed for twrp)
I would like to install nethunter on the device with a working kernel
I tired my best to understand the docu on kali but its not the best
i am also new to compiling kernels at that level so maybe someone can help here
I attached as much as i could
So the steps i took so far is
Unlocked Bootloader
installed the twrp ( like descriped here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-unofficial-twrp-for-galaxy-z-fold4-snapdragon.4498743/ )
installed magisk
Then for nethunter
(https://www.kali.org/docs/nethunter/)
i downloaded the kernel source :
https://opensource.samsung.com/uploadSearch?searchValue=SM-F936 (my device is EUX see infos for device above)
downloaded the proper=? toolchain , there is an readme_kernel inside the kernel_source with a link to the toolchain , i am unsure about this
https://opensource.samsung.com/uploadSearch?searchValue=toolchain
there are two options i took the S22(Exynos) file ( hope thats right ?)
now we come to the difficult part :-(
first i tried to compile via the instructions on kali docs
unpack the kernel file i did and there a subfolders so i decided to use the subfolder common as the root mentioned in the docs:
you can begin by cloning our kernel builder to the root of your kernel’s folder, and prepare the environment:
from common folder i did git clone https://gitlab.com/kalilinux/nethunter/build-scripts/kali-nethunter-kernel
cd kali-nethunter-kernel
I did not change the configs as i am new to that so i know there are some exports inside the build config inside the kernel file but i dont know how get them together
./build.sh
S. Setup Environment and download toolchains.
2. Configure & compile kernel from scratch
It found the devconfig so i took it as mentioned in the docs (Select your device’s defconfig, then save and exit to start the building process.)
did not edit the kernel config till jet
and ran into the error attached in the error txt
I would like to understand how i can build the kernel the normal way , without the nethunter tool
and maybe someone could help to make this working with nethunter that would be great !
i want to understand the process and i am willing to help , so i am not asking for a final kernel , more for the way to go in general to also give the community a benefit for the next new kernel we want to port
as mentioned the docs are not the best !
thanks for your time
@yesimxev / @V3rB0se / @afaneh92 need some help here
Which toolchain to you use in nethunter kernel builder? I'd recommend clang-12.
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/prebuilts/clang/host/linux-x86/+archive/refs/tags/android-12.0.0_r12/clang-r416183b1.tar.gz
Download, extract somewhere and add it's path to kali-nethunter-kernel/config (clang-10 is the default). no need for setup environment again.
Any luck with this? i am in the same situation trying to build a nethunter kernel for my zfold4

Great, I'll add to the setup env script so it won't be missed. It shouldn't happen in the first place though
