General Camera Lag / SD888/ 6GBRAM - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

With video stabilization toggled on, pressing record and expecting a smooth result is impossible as the phone drops frames for a few seconds and that's honestly not acceptable. I always record in 4k60 in the HEVC format and sometimes i need that extra digital stabilization on top of the already great optical, and when I turn it on, it seems like the digital stabilization is trying to lock on to something regardless of the subject and the video drops hella frames. I just don't understand how that's possible on a snapdragon 888. I have the 6gbRAM variant. I know 6gb isn't a lot but still.
All that without mentioning how slow and laggy overall the camera app is.

I'm having the exact same issue.

Same problem, any fix?

I have the same problem on my S21 FE (Exynos)
This is my camera setup:

Any recommendation? Disabling video stabilization is a temporary solution?
I reported the issue on Samsung Members but have not received a response yet.

I have the exact same issue when recording in FHD and it happens exactly when I film in a low lighted area. In 4K I do not have any problems, maybe you can try that.

Rooted camera quality

Does anyone else notice a degradation in picture quality after rooting and putting custom roms on? I remember when I was unroot when I first bought my evo and I thought the camera was great, but lately it's completely washed out by light and can't take a picture without blurring even in good daylight.
I've tried it on 3 different roms, flipz, damage, and nonsense. All fairly similar with being washed out.
Any reasoning or is this known? It's starting to bug me.
I've been on Fresh's ROMs for about a week now, first 0.3 and now 0.5. I haven't noticed a change, but then again I don't use the camera much. I never had really high expectations for the camera anyway since it's just a phone, but I have to admit that it's much better than I expected.

Hey, I have a Hero. I noticed the same thing until I cleaned the camera lens with alcohol and a q-tip. Picture quality improved greatly.

After:
I have a feeling my camera lens shield may be throwing it off.I'm going to clean and remove it to see if that helps
Sent from my PC36100 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
Turns out it was the shield for the camera lens that turned it to crap. I took it off and wiped the lens and its 20x better.
i dont know why they got resized so small. you might not be able to tell at this size but the top one is much clearer

Desire 530 - Remove over-sharpening and over-saturation?

Has anybody else noticed that the screen on the Desire 530 is massively over-sharpened and over-saturated? It bugged me the first time I used it, and reminds me of the over-sharpening on the LG G3.
It almost seems like a filter has been applied to the entire screen. Oddly, the over-sharpening/saturation is turned off whenever the camera is used, or whenever a video is played, and it remains this way until the screen goes to sleep, the over-sharpening/saturation then returns when waking the phone up. The screen looks great without the over-sharpening/saturation IMO, small text is much easier to read because there are no sharpening artefacts and it's generally much easier on my eyes.
Does anybody know how to disable it permanently? It's not a massive deal, as I can always start up the camera to get rid of the ugliness, but I'd like the screen to look natural all the time.
I've tried to capture it in the photos below, the normal screen (over-sharpened/saturated) is on the left, and the more natural screen (after using the camera) is on the right.

This a second mini action camera from Xiaomi to replace the original Xiaomi Yi.
The best part? It's a 4k model with a screen and many more features but cost the same as the original model, only $79!
Might be the cheapest 4K camera even compared to other budget models from China!
And it's not only about the price. Camera offers proper 4k at 30fps and up to 200fps in 720p slow mo.
Wifi app, timelapse, photo mode, image stabilization and many more features.
Exceptional build quality, I like Xiaomi Mijia 4K build over a GoPro Hero 4 and Yi 4K! Which says a lot.
Xiaomi offers a bigger battery ~2 hours in 4k mode and a better microphone, sound quality, as Xiaomi positions this model not as a regular action camera but as a general purpose small budget camera for traveling, youtube and etc.
Xiaomi Mijia 4k video.
Help
Bought 1 of these but can't get the mi home app to work with it. Is it because of custom ROM, what is the app you are using in the picture, thanks for any help.

Video Sample, recorded using an LG G7 in manual video recording mode and no stabilization enabled.
My two cents about the product:
The product itself does feel solid with a metal construction and no plastic parts at all, but the actual product, as a gimbal, is not impressive, unfortunately. Sure, the result is better compared to a video recorded using the built-in stabilization that a smartphone can offer, but I was expecting something more. I won't even show the app that is provided with this gimbal because it is just terrible, I highly recommend to use it just to update the firmware if they (Hohem) are going to someday (mine is still running on the firmware that came pre-installed).
What I really liked about this gimbal is the possibility to charge the device using the built-in battery (basically a power-bank in your hands) but, in the same time, I can't recommend to use it since charging a smartphone while recording a video (or while doing any kind of heavy operation) will cause it to overheat unless you live somewhere with a really cold weather. I would rather consider this option for an Action Camera or dedicated Camcorder as long as it fits in the holder.
In conclusion, I can't recommend this product even considering the kinda affordable price.

Question Camera switch to super macro bug ?

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem, but when my phone switches from the main photo sensor to the super macro, there is a clear difference. There is a shift and the colors are not the same.
Here a video to show the problem :/

Same moment, same distance but two photos very different :
the first one is the main camera, and second one is the super macro. The switch is not natural

It's a different camera on the phone isn't it? The switch would be expected. The phone isn't doing everything with just one camera/lens.

This is correct. Super macro mode uses the ultra wide camera. Every 'zoom level' in super macro mode just crops image from the ultra wide camera.
The difference would not be too noticeable? Especially in terms of colors and angle!
