Hello,
I have an issue with Google Play Services. It is using a lot of battery, it is on top of the list of battery consumers. But this issue appears ONLY when i am using mobile data as a connection, there is no issue when using Wi-fi.
Does anyone has any idea what could be the issue and how to resolve it ?
The problem with google services has been known for a long time and there is no clear answer. For starters, check whether you allow data sync only over wifi or also over mobile data. Google services and related apps (most) have an appetite for constant connection. If, on top of that, you haven't disabled/frozen most services and apps on your smartphone, then you have the problem you described.
But why this issue only on mobile data and not on wi-fi it does not make any sense
If you measure the distance to the mast your device connects to and the router, then maybe then you will understand the point.

Anyone else experiencing very frequent issues with this app over 3/4g? Last few weeks has been tons of drops and not able to connect with strong signal. Never an issue over wifi. Anyone?
I notice drops even while using Sirius/XM on the Windows computer through Comcast cable Internet services. Not all the time, but from time to time I do get drops on both mobile app in Android and on Windows. This will happen through cable Internet and cellular services.

Just for clarification its not really a "drop" per say. More like "data connection lost" and somtimes can take many attempts at starting over before it actually connects. Other times lately it just does not wan to to connect after start up. Have not had these problems until recently. Have uninstalled, data wiped phone, resinstall and nothing seems to help. Doesnt seem to be the data signal since all other streaning type apps work fine at that same time.
You know what I am saying. Basically I believe it is Sirius/XM that is the problem. Not our devices, cellular services, Internet providers or the web version. And their satellite services are fine. But I think it is the demand on their web servers that is the problem. Sorry for using wrong terminology.
No issues using it for my gf and I

Must have been the app as the update I received yesterday has cleared all issues. Odd...
Let me start by saying that this issue only occurs when I'm using Wi-Fi and none of these exist while using my cell data.
While I am on Wi-Fi I experience issues with the play store such as images not loading even though I can browse and search with no issue. Also, when I click install to download an app it will say downloading for about 2 minutes before it actually starts downloading. While I am using the browser it is almost impossible to get a page to load. If I toggle my Wi-Fi it will temporarily resolve the browser issue, but not my issue with the play store.
The ONLY thing that I have managed to do to resolve all these issues was to use an app on the play store that changes my DNS without needing to be rooted. I believe it works by using a VPN.
A few other things to add... I have 3 other Android phones, 1 Android Tablet, and an Android TV that have absolutely no issues with my Wi-Fi. I have tried changing all kinds of settings on my router, toggling all the different settings in my phone's Advanced Wi-fi settings, Factory reset, and running in safe mode all with no success in fixing my issues. My phone is also fully updated and I just recieved it in the mail yesterday... according to the date that was on my phone, it was built this month.
EDIT: I finally solved the issue by turning off IPv6 on my router and now everything works great. This still doesn't explain why my other devices were fine, BUT I did notice that the "Google Connectivity Services" app wasn't installed on my phone and it never asked me to install it so that may have been the problem all along... I'll have to test it out and see if my device works if I re-enable IPv6.
EDIT 2: I turned IPv6 back on and it appears that the Google Connectivity Services app doesn't do anything to fix the issue, though I didn't try restarting my device.
If you connect to a 2.4 GHz network, do you have the same issues? Others are having wifi issues too, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/help/wifi-issues-htc-10-weak-signal-fail-t3368165
I've noticed that 2.4 is more consistent (but obviously slower) than 5 GHz.
2.4: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByvK5ngdexuyMzZDMF93dWh4OUE
5: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByvK5ngdexuySGZNblhkWEFRTUk

There's always a dip, so it probably stops transferring any data for part of the test. This doesn't happen on any other devices, and nothing else is using bandwidth.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that it happens on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz.
Sounds you might have DNS issues at home. Have you tried it on some other network? I know it's a bit weird, but I have seen similar problems which were related to DNS (perhaps buggy router firmware?). to your case.
I tried changing DNS settings on my router, but it doesn't explain that none of my other devices have issues. I finally solved the issue by turning off IPv6 on my router and now everything works great. Hello,
I have some issues with a couple of Apps, especially Google Allo, as they say that they don't have an internet connection.
I have either Wifi or mobile data enabled and for both I can state that internet is fine as using most Apps and Browser is good.
I am a bit desperate what issue or cause this could be?
Did you manage to fix this? it began to happen to me as well since CM14.1
When installing letgo my data has no connection. It might be an hour or two but I have to pull battery to fix. I have uninstalled it data is fine. Also found out its happing on third party maps apps
Thank you

I'm using Samsung galaxy s20 ultra. i was on oneUI 2.5 when this started happening last week. when using apps that request for location, my wifi randomly drops and i lose internet connectivity for 10-15 seconds. i thought this was everyone but only my phone on my home network is affected by this. it also does not happen always, maybe 70% of the time. when i turn off location services this issue goes away (but i need location services). When i am on mobile data, this issue does not happen.
things i already did:
- restart phone
- clear google play services cache
- turn off wifi burst on developer settings
- uninstall/reinstall all apps that are affected
- update to oneUI 3.0
