Question Rooting S21 FE USA snapdragon - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Is there any possible way to root a S21 FE USA version? I really want to root it, even if I can't flash custom ROMs.

Might be able to do a system-less root. As in where you have really no privileges. Or just stick with stock. Might I ask why you are trying to root? There might be a samsung module for it or even a third-party app. Basically anything made with a Snapdragon/made for USA is rootless. They locked us down since the S6. Verizon was the worst with this back in the android 4 days.

[Q] Thinking of buying a Galaxy Tab S,need some info.

Hello folks, the time has come for me to replace my Nexus 7(2012) and i'm thinking of getting a 8.4 inch Tab S.
.Since i'm used to Nexus' unlockable bootloader, and not having a Samsung device since Galaxy II,i'd like some info regarding rooting and generally tampering with this device
.Do you lose your warranty if you root this?Or is there any trick like "triangle away" was back in the S2 days..?
Furthermore,do you think this device is a good choice? In my country i find the 16GB variant around 280 Euros, and i can't seem to find anything remotely good for that price..
Lastly, how does the device perform with custom roms?I really hate Touchwiz UI.. :S
Thanks in advance for the help
The bootloader is unlocked on my Tab S 8.4 WiFi only model, not sure about the LTE version if you get it through a carrier like AT&T or Verizon.
As far as rooting goes, super easy with CF Auto Root. Thank You Chainfire. And yes, you will lose your warranty as rooting will trip the knox flag and there's no way of undoing it with Triangle away or any other method.
I haven't tried any custom ROMS yet, but I'm happy with the performance after I debloated it and I'm using Nova Launcher instead of Touchwiz.
Also just to let you know, most of the system files are Odex. Not sure if that matters to you.
That was all i needed to know, thanks for the reply !!

Few questions from Sammy Newb

So I got the S8 on BOGO last night, my dad got the S8+, mine is SM-G950U from Costco, it was placed on TMobile network, it's got the T-Mobile firmware I believe as there are about 5 TMO apps pre-installed.
I'm a bit confused, it seems that there are root options for this phone, other threads say TMo won't unlock bootloaders, yet I see there are a few ROMs floating around.
Thus far I did 2 system updates and am currently running on G950USQU1AQEF.
I see that there's a AQFJ already downloading, and the patch notes say "Device Security Enhancements"
Now I don't want to update this device to the point of not being able to root, even though I am not even sure if there's a root available.
Can someone clear up the rooting situation for me?
I don't see any rooting guides, yet I see some ROMs around. (most/all are for G950F/FD/N) - Is the version of the device unrootable?
Does rooting break warranty?
Also, i read somewhere that there are Knox counter re-setters, would that prevent void warranty?
Thanks!

There is no root for the Snapdragon variant of the S8 or S8+, it's not T-Mobile it's Samsung. Yes rooting will trip Knox and void your warranty, even flashing stock firmware won't untrip Knox. So update away, the chances of root are slim to none. I have had 14 or so android smartphones since 2009 and they were all rooted on day one. You can use Package Disabler Pro to get rid of the bloat. If you want some more customization you can use layers from this thread. And there's even Subsratam for Samsung here. I sincerely doubt that the bootloader will be unlocked in the near future.

Is it true that samsung made it impossible to rrot a S8+ now?

I seem to remember reading something some weeks ago that Samsung did something in their latest few updates for the S8+ that made it impossible to root them... is that true?
I'm running a SM-G955F - DTM here... and I'd rather keep it rooted. I'm using magisk to root my devices.
Any insights for me?
you might want to ask your question here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8. All of snapdragon owners have been boot locked from day 1.
if that's true then my S8+ does not run on a snapdragon cpu, it is successfully rooted so far.
Lemmy, just so you know I am jealous that you can root and I am locked. I do miss the days of having my device work as the engineers intended. Again, would go to the Samsung S8+ link I provided earlier to see if they locked down the exynos boot loader or not.

To root or not to root?

Currently I'm waiting on my s20 ultra and I'm having a hard time deciding whether to root my s20 and run stock with magisk or not... I've always rooted my phones but quite frankly I don't have the time to be setting up custom roms. If I do decide it'll be to debloat, dns proxy, YouTube vanced and run without ads and although I know I can do all of those without root, I would really miss the power of backup with root. What are your thoughts/opinions? I really wouldn't want to trip Knox on it so that if I decide to sell it on swappa, I'll be able to
Please use already existing threads on the same topic instead of opening a new one (#1 off the forum rules)...

Note 10 Model Numbers

I'm looking at buying an international Exynos N10, and running it on Verizon in the US.
My purposes in doing so are to either use root to make the phone as bulletproof as possible, or flash a rom onto it that focuses on security and privacy. Been rocking iphones for a while (last phone I rooted and rommed was the GS4, then Verizon started locking all the snapdragon bootloaders.
Anyway, there seems to be a wide range of available models to choose from. Is there one I should gravitate towards for my specific purposes?
I seem to see N975F mentioned a lot.
all the US snapdragons have the bootloader locked
the china model snapdragon doesn't
the F model doesn't
the question is can you achieve what you want w/o rooting the phone?
some of the advantages for rooting might be possible to be achieved also w/o root via ADB commands
read and try to get as much info as possible to be able to understand the ups and downs of rooting or not rooting
also consider if you want to sell the phone afterwards - how rooting would affect that sale
also a hint - unlocking the bootloader will "burn" the knox fuse which is irreversible - no more automatic OTA, only manual and a few specific apps will not work

also rooting will kill the private folder. Privacy can be achieved with debloating for example and private DNS / VPN
Rotting will seriously damage the resale and future official support as well as the safety net and payments.
