Google Pixel XL No Service

Hi,
I have an issue with my Pixel XL all of a sudden it came up with no services.
I know the SIM is working I but it in another phone and it work without any issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same issue with a Verizon XL and my wife's non-XL when the phone first rolled out last fall. I was able to resolve it go going to setting>more>Network settings reset>reset settings. Seemed to be where the phone was as it happened in a notoriously bad 4G area for Verizon. It happened again (on both phones) when they seamed to be overwhelmed by the changes to the unlimited plan. Same fix, and it has not happened in the months since then. Unfortunely, you'll have to reattach your Bluetooth devices and WiFi connections, but that is of course no big deal.

Using Project Fi on Pixel 2 (XL) in Australia

Hi Everyone,
I am researching the possibility of using the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL in Australia as a dual sim phone since it takes 1 physical sim and has the built in eSIM. I really want a dual sim phone and so I recently bought a OnePlus 5T. Really great phone but the camera just does not live up to my expectations. I came from a Nexus 6P which I think takes better pictures, or at least when you zoom in on the picture you dont get a washed out hazing effect like you do on the OP5T.
So I'm thinking of trying to get setup with Project Fi unless anyone knows info & details that I could use Telstra "One Number"? I should also mention that I currently have a Telstra sim provided by work (my company I work for) and then I have a person prepaid Telstra data only sim which use for my internet addiction and downloading which has 40GB data use on it currently). I'd like to keep this setup with SIMs so maybe I can get my company sim ported to Telstra One Number? I know using project Fi things will cost a little more with currency conversions since everything is in USA dollars. Plus the other thing I dont know yet is what number you'd get issued (a USA format number I guess?).
I also read that you need the North American model phone except I later found out that's for the Pixels (1st gen). The Pixel 2 (XL) phones all models are supported on Project Fi according to this google page https://support.google.com/fi/answer/6224695?hl=en
So I wanted to start this thread to get feedback and help provide answers to other about this possibility here down under in Australia to makes use of dual sim function on Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL.
Hopefully I haven't duplicated an already existing thread. I searched but not finding answers.
Paul.

Pixel 2 XL--No SIM Card Detected and no Wifi

Just posting in case it becomes a "thing" with the Pixel 2 XL.
Last night I noticed that my stock, locked Pixel 2 XL which I had ordered as soon as available way back in October had spontaneously rebooted. I picked it up to see what happened......and it was not detecting a SIM card. It also would try to detect Wifi networks, but would never find any, then Wifi would turn off. I swapped out my SIM card with my husband's, and my SIM worked in his phone but his did not work in mine. Tried resetting network settings, didn't work, tried factory reset, didn't work, tried clean flash of latest Pie, didn't work.
Some weird stuff.....I can get into settings, but come critical info missing......like MAC address, IMEI, etc. So I think the transmitter/receiver is just dead.
Doing a warranty exchange.....Hope I get a new phone as opposed to a refurb, but we'll see.
I had gone online and noticed one post in Google Product Forums describing a similar problem on a new phone someone received, but this doesn't seem to be a pattern.....yet.
Again.....just want people to be aware. Back to my Nexus 5 for a few days.
And my replacement is shipping from Ingram Micro in Carol Stream, IL. Should be here Friday. Anyone know if this is an indication of a new phone vs. refurb?
Batteries on the two Nexus 5's I have in my possession are rather shot. Need constant charging.
Received my replacement. Manufacture date January 30, 2018. Security update version May 5, 2018. Came in flat box in Google packaging (no accessories). Hardware version 10 (same as old phone). Phone appears to be perfect, no problems (so far).

Question VoWiFi is driving me crazy

Hi all,
I have a Google pixel 6 pro. It's rooted.
I'm using Telekom as provider in Germany.
With my phone before vowifi worked, so my contract allows it. I also contacted the provider and from their side everything should work.
I already changed the XML in the phone app to be able to select, that wlan call is prefered.
But wlan call doesn't work. Also if I activate airplane mode and use wlan only, I can't call. I only get the message "turn off airplane mode or connect to a wireless lan"... But I'm connected to wlan (tried 3 different wlans)
With *#*#4636#*#* I can see wifi calling is provisioned.
Any idea?
I'm using the newest update.
Thanks
The same thing here in denmark.
Works if i use, the magisk volte script. I use it because celluar network are poor where i live.
If i use it without root "stock" no ims register, and get not sim error and no s ervice very fast, but pixel are not sold in denmark, so we are pretty much getting the finger from google, they dont care!!
it is a great phone, but have never had this kind of celluar problems before, consider of leaving the pixel for an S22 instead.
And yes just root it, but i dont need root, it gives some other problems.
after the new july update it's working for me

Great that it is working Germany is also one on the contries they are sold, bourgth my in Media Markt then i was working in Berlin.
But i does not work at all in Denmark, have tried the EMEA and Global release, im not sure if it is my provider there are unknown in the carrier db, it is a sub provider to Telia, it does not even find the APN settings or anytning.. I love anything else about my Pixel 6 Pro, but this kills my love for the pixel.. And cannot belive the stupidness of google for doing this kind of things for the users.. i have had samsung, sony, oneplus and so on with same subscription for years and have always worked out of box with all phones until pixel 6. and yes the do not sell pixel in denmark, but come on, it is proven technology for years and standard, there shuld be expeced to work no matter what..
But great you have it working now

Yesterday I updated the device to July release, at least I thought it. I got in a boot loop after installing it and the system reverted to the old version itself. So now I'm on the last month patch but voice over Wi-Fi is working. I don't have a clue why it is working now

Curious: Which build are you using then? Global or EMEA?
I am in the same boat as you. Bought in Germany (unlocked at Media Markt) but live in Austria with provider from Austria.

Im on Golobal build to see if it changes anything, but is the same as on EMEA build, but the version of carrier settings are the same as for many android builds (default34000000048 2021-09-30) it is pretty clear that google are showing unsupported countries the finger.
But put it for sale yesterday, give up on this device, if i use it rooted, it give problems with apps for personal identification, personal health apps and misc witch are running aggressive root detection, so it not worth it.
Got rid of the device today for, an OnePlus 10 Pro and alle tings are working now
Pixel.. Never again..
