Hi,
I have a Samsung A70 with Android 11 latest update, when I tap *#0*# and try to test the sensors, specifically fingerprints, it says "N/A" on the screen. Please help, is this a software or hardware problem?

Screenshot 2
1 is done, 2 and 3 I have no idea about and the rest I've done entirely. It says there's an error when trying to recalibrate my fingerprint.

Hi all,
I'm having a strange issue with my G4 H815, and I hope someone here can help!
The problem is that the phone won't rotate the screen when you rotate the device, and then the touch screen will not work. I must turn the screen off and then on again in order for the touch to work. But it will stop working as soon as I tilt the device (activate the gyroscope to rotate the screen). After some time this will force phone to restart and then it finds hard to boot up again.
I think it's gyroscope because the problem happens when I turn the device on the side for eg. when I open camera everything is OK but if I try to take a landscape photo it will immediately freeze. And I also did the testing procedure (277634#*#) when I test the motion sensor gyroscope values hardly change. Also in Settings>Display>Motion Sensor Calibration I get and error "Cannot Calibrate"
My questions are:
Where is gyroscope located?
Is it part of mb (soldered to the mother board)?
Does the screen digitizer affect gyroscope function? (because the glue on the top of my screen has come loose but I don't see it affecting anything other then proximity sensor).
Hi,
my Redmi Note 8 Pro shows problems when starting a phone call.
The display gets dark and cannot be reactivated without restarting the device.
I suppose the proximity sensor is not working properly, so I would like to disable it to confirm my idea.
But if I try to find settings for incoming or outgoing calls in the phone app there is nothing similar.
Does anyone have a hint for me ?
Thanks and best regards,
Erwin
Hi,
same problem here with Redmi Note 8.
I also tried PixelExperience ROM but same behaviour.
Sensor calibration in CIT can't be done because "Calibration" and "Test" buttons are greyed out.
"Proximity sensor test" app says that the sensor is always sensing something even if not covered by anything.
Are there any other possible fixes or is this a hardware defect?
Hi
I just got a new S20+ however I noticed that the fingerprint sensor doesn't work when it goes on Always on display. Also, if I enable the icon to show when I tap, it doesn't show. Is this a software problem? how can I fix this?
Please help someone out! Thanks!

Do you have screen protector on if so original or aftermarket?

Sorry for the late answer.
I found out in the end it was the protective film that I had. I got a new one applied from a friend, the first day it worked just fine but now it's not working anymore on AOD.
How is this even possible? the touches are not detected in the lower part, the proximity sensor cannot be considering it would immediately turn off if I had to call if that was the case, what am I missing here?
I, too am facing this issue.
When the screen is off, I touched the lower half of the screen,
a) the AOD clock doesn't show up,
b) I am unable to use fingerprint scanner on AOD screen (it works fine on the unlock screen)
I have done soft reboot, factory reset, still no avail.
If someone knows how to fix this, PLEASE help.
Hi, i have a 7T with broken motherboard, i buy another 7T but with broken screen and put motherboard from it to my phone. Phone is working ok, everything is fine but fingerprint isnt working at all :/ i get a error "enrollment was not completed | Fingerprint registration error, please try again". Should i change the fingerprint sensor with motherboar from phone with broken screen?? i change only motherboard, fingerprint sensor is from my phone.
Thanks for help
Some replacement screens kill the fingerprint if you replaced it on your 7T. Have you tried reinstalling firmware? If that doesn't solve the issue and you have original screen try the other fingerprint sensor. Did it work before your motherboard broke?
yes, it was working, i reinstal software and update and its still not working. I download app for testing fingerprint sensor and it give me error that i dont have FP sensor in my phone.
I change the sensor and bottom PCB and it start to work So if someone want to change motherboard you must to change sensor and maybe bottom PCB to get it work property
I've had my phone for over a year now. Never had issues with anything.
Recently when I tried to unlock the screen with my finger it didn't recognise it. It was vibrating but saying that fingerprint is not recognised. I thought the screen is dirty so I wiped it - didn't work. Then I thought I have cuts on my finger so I tried to add new fingers but it doesn't work... Fingerprint sensor lights up but it's not vibrating and not scanning my finger.
I've tried resetting my phone and still couldn't register fingerprint. I've reset it again and it worked! But only for 2 days... Now again the fingerprint sensor doesn't work.
I'm on LE2123_11_F.75
Has anyone experienced something similar? Just wondering whether it is software or hardware issue?
Depending on where you bought your phone, it usually comes with a warranty 2 or 3 years.
