Hello,
Thing is that I flashed new ROM (Runnymede AIO V6.0.4.3) on my Desire, but after flashing I saw that camera does not work, simply black screen, but I know that flash worked. I thought that ROM has not installed correctly and installed it again, after that also flash did not and as I checked later also front speaker, LED, headphone jack did not work.
I found some threads with similar problem, but no answer so I still ask. Tried different Radios, but no luck. (Currently have 5.17.05.23) Also did backup to previous ROM, but even then nothing. Although I know everything worked.
Could it be only Software problem? Or something else went terribly wrong?
Interesting thing is that when I flash new ROM or Radio sometimes home, menu, search buttons have light (but buttons work) sometimes not.
Is there anything that I could try?
Hi there mates,
A friend gave me a 2010 desire two days ago and i just need some questions answered, thank you for your time i realize its an old device.
I have 4.4.4 Beanstalk | Release 6 | bravo installed and i have some issues don't know if it is normal:
1. Hardware keys (home, menu, back and search) do not work, the trackpad works. They do light up. I fount the setting in beanstalk > navigation where you enable soft keys, but even the soft keys do not work, except for the back soft key.
I have Baseband No. 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27. Do i have to flash an older OS, if yes where can i find that rom ? Any experience will be appreciated.
The phone was given to me with cm 10, hardware keys also didnt work.
Your friend could probably answer a few of the questions...
- Did the hardware keys ever work properly with custom ROMs when your friend had it?
- Did your friend notice when they stopped working, was it software flash or drop on the floor?
I've never used a ROM with soft keys, so don't know why they don't work.
To test your hardware keys, you could nandroid backup your current setup, then flash an RUU (find and flash the 2.3.3 GB RUU from shippedroms)
If the keys don't work on stock unrooted ROM, then it's a hardware not software issue.
Your baseband is just your radio firmware, it is separate from your OS. You could flash a newer radio baseband (5.17.05.23), it requires S-OFF and I recommend you flash the radio.img using fastboot. It's not always necessary, generally if your current radio is working fine you don't have to change it.
Thank you for the reply. I will flash the rom u suggested:cyclops:
Cheers.
Hello.
For My OPEL ASTRA J Android autoradio, with the firmware RK3066 - Malaysk ROMs - update_+4_4_4_1024X600_14_RK3066_MAL_11_12_2015
After upgrading the MTC Keys remap Xposed module to this lastest version and modify some settings in the factory settings menu (but I didnt touche the canbus options, but maybe " wheelstudy", "Keymap"a dn "Touchmap" options). I reboot so that the change can be applied.
Following that, The autoradio has well restarted but I don'y have any hadware buttons working, and neither the touch screen, so i can't do anything !!!
I never suceed to get into recovery and always upgrade thougt an auto- detection of a firmware file on the sd-card...
I don't know what to do.
Thanks for your help !
Try if using an USB keyboard or mouse can help you.
RESOLVED !
Thnak you very much for your advice.
I plugged a logitech usb unifying receiver for mouse and it works immediately !!
I've also tested Team Viewer quick support to take control from my PC. it works too.
I reflashed a firmware and my problem was gone..
I suspect the last MTC Keys remap Xposed module to be the cause...
Glad you solved!
Can anyone shed any more light on this issue? I have a joying unit that exhibited exactly the same behavior. I installed the latest version of Malaysk's rom for my device and everything looked fine. I set up all my apps and got everything working how I wanted it. When I got in the car to leave for work this morning the unit booted normally but I had no touch screen or hardware buttons. Only the power button worked. I found your thread so I tried doing a factory reset but no luck. I had to re-install the ROM (same exact one) and the problem went away.
How can I prevent this in the future?
-Matt
This weekend I was messing with custom boot animations that would cause that issue, no touch response and only the power button worked. The issue would show up if the animation failed out but the system completed the boot up. The only way I could restore it was to reload the ROM and it happened on both Malaysk's and booroondook's ROMs. It was almost like it caused the touchscreen's driver to crash or prevented it from loading.
That might explain the problem. The rom has an option to disable the boot animation. Now that you mention it, I think that was the last thing I did before shutting down for the night. I have not changed that setting since and the problem has not returned.

I should point out that you should be able to plug in a mouse and use that to restore your boot animation without having to flash the rom again

Yeah I didn't think about that at the time. Oh well.

About what you said there, did you also try non-KSP MCUs in the past?
MCU Version
No
I did not try non KSP.
If no other KSP MCUs are available on the net, AFAIK then the last chance left is to request again the correct MCU and ROM files from your seller/manufacturer.
MCU Version
Hi,
I did asked the manufacturer for original MCU and ROM files , hope this will fix it.
Thank you
Got new ROM files and MCU and its working well except no steering wheel control , controls will work for some time then will not, I mean I was able to assign steering wheel control after the updated but lost after few days, tried to re assigned but it didn't work will not take effect . MCU provided by the manufacturer different from the original one that came with the unit it went from KSP v2.85 to KLD6 v2.85 but its working now except steering wheel control.
Thank you all for trying to help
I'm no expert and I can't solve your problem but going from one manufacturers MCU to anothers goes against everything I've read on this forum.

Hello everybody,
I am experiecing a bluetooth issue on Android Nougat 7.0 (I tryed exactly on versions EQL1 and EQD1).
The first time the device turns on, the bluetooth works fine. Then, after a reboot, I can't turn bluetooth on any more.
If I go through a factory reset I will get the bluetooth working again, till next reboot.
On Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 bluetooth works just fine...
I would like to know if I am the only one experiecing this issue as I didn't find any thread about it.
