Question Can't transfer files to Fold3 - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3

I can't seem to transfer files/ folders between PC and my Z Fold3. Whenever I attempt to start a transfer, I hear the error prompt and nothing happens.
Tried to use Dex as well but to no avail.
Any tips or workarounds to transfer files and folders?

Go to "Settings-info device-info software" and 10 tap on "build version" and will able "developer option"
Go to "developer option" and enable "debug usb"

[Q] dpi oops

Changed the DPI using Android Tweaker 2 from 640 to 560, and when I rebooted somehow it set to 430, which is causing constant redraws of the screen (screen goes on off constantly) - the phone boots, and I can open the app, but it only gives me about 1 second to do something, and it's too quick for me to bring the keyboard up to set a different value.
How can I restore the default DPI or set it to 560 without reinstalling my phone. Is there a way I can do it on the computer?
Yes you can do it from your computer. You will have to edit a file called build.prop.
1: You will need ADB and the LG USB drivers. If you do not already have the Android SDK set up, download this tool to get ADB. You can get the USB driver here.
2: open a CMD window in the directory ADB is installed (seems the installer for ADB can also do this for you)
3: Go into your phone's Settings > About Phone. Tap the build number several times until it has said you have enabled developer options.
4: Go back to the main settings and go into Developer Options.
5: Find the "Android Debugging" option and turn it on. Find the "Root Access" option as well and set it to "Apps and ADB".
6: Connect your phone to your computer and type "adb devices" in the command prompt window. Hopefully, it lists a device on there.
7: Type "adb pull /system/build.prop %userprofile%\Documents"
8: Go to your computer's documents folder and open build.prop in your choice of file editor (Notepad works, but I wouldn't recommend it...)
9: Find the line "ro.sf.lcd_density" in build.prop. Change this to the number you want (540 or 640). Save the file.
10: Go back to the CMD window and type "adb push %userprofile%\Documents\build.prop /system/build.prop"
11: Reboot your phone. If all went well, your screen should be back to normal.
I can't seem to find Android Debugging or Root Access (I can only see USB Debugging which is enabled)
Also after typing "adb devices" in CMD, it lists mine but says offline.

Click to collapse
USB Debugging will be the same thing.
Try typing "adb kill-server" and then "adb devices" again. Also try using a different USB port on your computer.

Trouble connecting to PC to transfer files.

Long story short.
I just got my free 32g card from the promotion so, I'm trying to transfer all the things from my 16g to PC and then to the 32g when I format it. When I hook the phone to my PC I get the connected chime but I don't see it as a drive like Android phone usually do.
Please help fellow G4 owners.

On the phone, in the notifications bar, tap "Media device (MTP)." On the next screen, tap the 3 dot "menu" button, and choose "Install PC drivers." Then, on your PC, in File Explorer, you'll see a new device (LG something). Double-click on that, and it will start installing the PC drivers.
Now, I can't say it's all that useful anyway. Folders I create in the File Manager on the phone, I can't always see on my PC until after I've unplugged and replugged a few times. I can create folders on the SD card through my PC's file browser, but if I try to name them anything (other than the default "New Folder") the operation stalls, the file browser on my PC crashes, and the folder appears on the phone as "New Folder" anyway. I renamed the folder through the phone's File Manager, but on my PC, when I could see the folder, it was still showing up as "New Folder." There are some serious issues with trying to copy between phone and PC.
I've tried many ways to connect my LG G4 to Mac, but failed. AirMore saved me. It's really a terrific app to transfer data between LG and PC. :good:
My G4 H815 used to connect to the pc via USB cable before but stopped lately for some unknown reason. The MTP/PTP/charge only option is not coming anymore. How am I supposed to make a USB connection to the PC?
Any suggestion is much appreciated.
Try another cable, another port, or remove the drivers on the computer and reinstall the drivers.
Yep, sometimes my G4 connects fine to PC, other times it's just plain frustrating. I did as other user said, I uninstalled drivers and reinstalled and it worked. For how long I do not know.LOL
Oh and sometimes I only see internal storage and not external. I guess this is what happens with LG phones. LOL Never had issues like this with Samsung.
Problem solved:
Here's what I did to make my device recognizable.
1. Uninstall all LG Driver/s in your PC, if there's any.
2. Reboot.
3 Go to Start - Then Command Prompt
4. Enter command "shutdown /r /o /f /t 00"
5. Click the "OK" button
6. System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen
7. Then select "Troubleshoot" from "Choose an option" screen
8. Then select "Advanced options" from "Troubleshoot" screen
9. Then select "Windows Startup Settings" from "Advanced options" screen
10. Click "Restart" button
11. System will restart to "Advanced Boot Options" screen
12. Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"
13. Restart & install drivers that came with the device (Accessible through MTP options)
Viola! Your device can now be read by your PC.
Hit thanks if that worked for you

Phone does not connect

It just doesn't show up in ADB devices. However, when I change ROMs it does, but gives me an error when trying to mount "not permitted"
Amazon was of no help. They gave an add on link to enter into SDK manager but it would fail every time... something on how it failed to update the status to complete. I'll add images later.
Can anyone help me with this? In case stuff goes south with my phone, I want to have a chance at recovery through ADB.
(Other notes: Win7 32-bit, ran as admin, enabled USB debugging from developer options, added site on SDK manager)

Can't connect to PC. Hidden ##366633# menu has no ADB option.

I bought this secondhand N4 910v. It has:
Android: 6.0.1
Baseband: N910VVRS2CQ82
Kernel version: 3.10.40
Build number: MMB29M.N910VVRS2CQ82
I have tried connecting this phone to several PCs but to no avail. Windows gives the error "Cannot recognize device...".
In Settings -> Dev Options -> "USB debugging" is checked. There is another option down the line Dev Options -> "USB configuration". It has options such as "Charging", "MTP", "PTP", "RNDIS", "Audio Source", "MIDI". When I try to change it from "Charging" to any other option, Windows gives the same "Cannot recognize device" error.
*#0808# does not work. In the ##366633# secret menu. I only have two options which read exactly this:
Enable DM Mode
Disable DM Mode (Set MTP Mode)
There is no ADB option.
I have tried connecting the phone while it's turned off, and in factory reset menu as well. Have also tried to connect after factory reset, but Windows gives the same error.
Not sure where to go from here... any help would be appreciated.

adb problems

so i got a used pixel 2 xl recently, and after set up i go turn on "usb debugging" in dev settings, but when i plug the phone into my laptop, the dropdown menu of what mode to go into (ptp, usb tethering, midi, file transfer) doesnt show up, and when i plug in the phone while the drop down menu is open, a notification shows up with the words "usb debugging connected" for just a second or two, then disapears. I know the cable, and my copy of platform tools are good because they work with another device. i tried every mode under "default usb configuration" in dev settings, and for the life of me i cant figure out why it wont let me connect. so if yall got ideas im happy to listen
Open up terminal and type adb devices and hit enter
Sometimes this triggers the permission window. This way you can establish adb connection.
I just had a similar problem like this. The USB cable and laptop I had been using all this time started acting up. I could adb and fastboot reboot and run flash-all.bat, but I couldn't adb push all of the sudden.
After a few hours of trying many different options, I ended up using a different computer. You may want to find another computer or swap out the USB cable.
Good luck.
