Im having an issue that just started. If my phone is on and unlocked and I open my phone, the screen does not switch. The front screen stays on and the inner screen stays off. If I open my phone before unlocking, inner screen works as intended and the front screen stays off. Please help.
Nevermind sensors were off. Sorry. Fixed

I wanted to know if anybody else has experienced this or if perhaps my screen is defective. I have been using swype for some time now. I noticed that if I hold my phone at an angle to the light with the screen turned off I can see what appears to be 2 smudge lines across the screen near the bottom where I have been swyping. I thought okay I need to clean the screen. I cleaned the screen and it is still there. I had a screen protector on and removed it because I thought it was problem but it is the actual screen.
Hi, I've dropped my phone and now the screen does not turn on.
The touch works, i can receive calls (and talk) and the glass is not working.
It seems that something disconnected from inside.
Any suggestion? Open the phone and review something?
Thanks!
Wait what? The touch works but the glass doesn't? They are the same piece. You've got the LCD panel which is the screen display itself and the digitizer which registers touch, in other words the glass component.
Which of the two does not work?
Since he claims he can answer calls, it appears to me the screen is still registering touch input (I assume he swipes the screen even though it stays black).
My S3 has been working fine for months sort of. I bought it off of ebay with a huge crack in the glass, then my brother dropped it and all the glass fell out. To use the phone we has to touch the bare LCD of the phone, which after a while we just but a screen cover over it. I waited 2 months, bought a new glass replacement and put it on, everything worked just fine. After a little the home button when pressed to the left a little would make the screen go crazy. it would start tapping and swiping in random places. After locking and waking the screen the phone was normal again. after that, i removed the glass again, and this time when putting it back on if i pushed the home button it pushed the glass down a little, which would turn my screen black. locking the phone and waking the screen again turned the screen back on. Also the screen was a lot less sensitive, i'd have to tap a key 2-5 times sometimes to hit a specific letter. whenever that happened i put 3 dsi's to weigh it down and push the screen down, which would improve the sensitivity. that worked twice, and now my screen doesn't respond to touch at all. the screen will wake, but only when i press on the bottom right corner of the screen will it respond to touch. Any word on what could be the problem? i need to know what to buy to replace in the phone. I've already taken the whole phone apart and plugged everything back in, after i had tried everything to get my phone to respond. Could this be a digitizer problem, or an LCD problem? any possible fixes without having to replace anything?
The first issue was using the device without the glass installed. By touching the bare LCD you most likely damaged it. Your best bet at this point is probably going to be to replace the Touch assembly ( Glass / LCD Touch digitizer ) . Also keep in mind, when doing any sort of Screen replacement. Be sure to keep everything as clean, and dust free as possible.
Sorry if this was posted before, couldn't find anything about it.
This does not happen everytime I unlock phone but it happens quite a bit. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Settings -> Display -> Block Accidental Touches.
Please check your screen protector
Make sure all sensor of device open
I have that comes every once an awhile. Accidental touch is turn on and the screen protector not covering the sensors.
I have it pop up when I am in the car. It because I have the block accidental touches setting turned on. I don't have a screen protector on. It's a nice feature to have cause on the S7 edge, S8, and S8+, I was always launching some app from accidentally touch the edges. My S9 doesn't do it often only if I pick it up in the car and accidentally touch the edges of the phone.
Yes, this message is just letting you know that it's blocking your touch input (usually when the screen is turning on with something covering the sensor on the front). The S7 would just keep the screen off (therefore preventing accidental touches/screen on's) but the S9 displays this message... which I think it pretty dumb...
A week ago, my lumia 950 passed the hard landing on the asphalt. The effect was that the right bottom of the screen was firmly crushed. Quickly protective has not even been violated, the impact went centrally in the corner of the screen. Phone after this event, works normally: 100% efficient display, touch also. But the problem appeared during a ringing, after pressing the Call or Receive buttons, the screen immediately goes out. Additionally does not work on the screen when I cover the proximity sensor and when I turn off the screen, "Summary Screen" should appear on it; Time and notification, but nothing but a black screen. At first I thought that the guilty of this state is a cracked screen, but when I ordered a new one, the problem did not disappear. Then I replaced the whole ribbon with sensors I bought but it did not do anything. So it remained to restart the phone, which also did not help. Interestingly, after reboot, as I turned off the screen using the side button, you could see a summary screen for a second, but then I have not seen it anymore. I know that Era Lumia is a story but maybe someone once met with such a problem.
