Is there any way to force a game to use the regular 16:9 ratio (1920 pixels height) centered on the screen? Clash Royale uses the entire screen but crops the left and right sides of the game, making cards hard to place on the corners of the arena.
Settings does not allow disabling 'Fullscreen mode' for 'optimized apps'. Running Xiaomi.EU 12.5.18

A hacky way to do this is to use wm size WxH and then automate it to run every time clash royale launches using something like tasker

This is what it looks like now [AFTER]
I squished it down to fit the lock screen but still hold the retro look of the original box.
If your using the stock OS from Bell (never tried any others) And set the Clock
to the BOTTOM position, it is set just right so that the clock will not cover any
of the graphics and will show up on the black.
Hope you Like it.
Please tell me what you think!

I mean there's any ADB command or any app that make your pixel look like this? (Maybe by scaling the screen down a little?)
From this:

To this:
It's annoying to have to see that the curved edges hides content from the screen. Especially when you play.
ADB would not be able to reduce the available screen real estate: the screen driver would need to be rewritten. An app that sets a black background for the status and navigation bars would work, except for games that play in full screen.
You're simply going to have to deal with this, or purchase a device without rounded corners.
Has anyone noticed the excessive amount of padding on this phone?
I've already shrunk the font size down to the smallest, but it seems the vertical padding is all still locked to the regular (or even large) font size, leaving a LOT of white space.
It also doesn't really get me any additional screen real-estate, as the font size shrinks but the apparent row-height doesn't at all.
Are there any apps or tweaks we can implement to adjust this?
Images attached as examples.

Have you tried simply changing the screen dpi in developer settings? I e got mine set to 512.
I'm trying to capture a hummingbird in slow motion by using the stylus as a remote, but after setting up the phone on the tripod and putting it in slow-motion mode, it'll back out to the home screen after two minutes of inactivity.
I've fiddled with my screen display settings so don't think it has anything to do with that (but can't be sure), but if anyone has any idea, it'd be great to hear. We have some beautiful hummingbirds here in western WA, it'd be amazing to be able to capture one in slowmo!
