16GB ?
hi, are these PIT files for the 16GB or 32 GB version ? also since you are a developer, can the problem of "Sleep of Death" be solved when repartitioning ?
advice needed
Hello friends,
I have exactly the issue you are explaining - I am not able to use Odin for installing neither recovery nor official ROM ,
I suppose something goes wrong with the partitions. how I can use this file - only checking the PIT option in Odin with attached PIT file ,
or also I should add simultaneously the Stock Firmware (ROM ) .
Please advice
Thanks for help !
does anyone know what version of firmware are these associated with and if they are for 16gb or the 32gb version i need one for 16gb sm-p600 us version (XAR)
Hello everybody!
I was surfing through the web when i found this file uploaded on 4shared claiming to be an Engboot for SM-G930F.
Naturally, I was sceptical about this file, as I am completely uneducated about the nuts and bolts of Android, I could neither confirm or deny that this is a valid file or not, so I decided to post the link to XDA , so much more knowledgeable people can take a look at it and see if it is a valid file or not. I don't want to flash this file on (bought yesterday) my S7, so here I am!
If anybody is feeling brave enough to try this on their phone, please go ahead and tell if this worked or not
Disclaimer: I am not responsible in any way for bricked devices, this file is completely untested.

Zippyshare (no registration) Link: http://www80.zippyshare.com/v/axSXOCtR/file.html
Edit: This is important because if this file works, you could thereotically flash anything you want WITHOUT tripping knox.
Also you can easily unbrick your phone by flashing the stock ROM if it comes to that.
Note: I am reposting this in the development section.

I don't know, it's probably ok.
Motorola Update Policy
Basically, Motorola will only provide One major Android update and two years of regular security updates.
But may extend support for devices that see longer than normal usage.
9 to 5 Google said:
For instance, this policy depends on the majority, so people who switch/upgrade their devices early could ruin the long-time use of a phone for others. Further, it’s just a paradox. Motorola is essentially saying that it will update phones the longer people keep them, but people will be more likely to upgrade their phone if they feel it’s been abandoned.

Does Motorola still use blur_* OTA updates? If so, is there any other tool to get them? I tried the OTAU.exe and the online version... Couldn't find anything. Also, OTAU says it couldn't find the software version. I entered it manually, but still, it doesn't find anything.

Great info all easy to find!
I tried everything I could think of to find the stock ROM to get the boot.img out of to use Magisk on for my Moto g32 XT2235-2 (devon) and did not find it anywhere. No PC to run the Lenovo assistant (although this is my backup plan if nothing else works in a few days is find someone with a PC - I've used the tool before and it has saved phones for me that I messed up somehow).
Is there any way to pull the boot.img out of the phone itself with unlocked bootloader using fastboot commands or something?

Thanks for the link. It looks like that is for the xt2235-1 which by "retbr" I'm guessing means retail Brazil. I was looking to find xt2235-2 / "reteu" or retail Europe. I might try it eventually, but I'm in no hurry so I'll probably wait. Perhaps Lineage or other ROM will eventually be made.
It would be nice if someone could port WearOS to the Samsung Galaxy watches with Exynos 9110 SoC.

My last answer to them was not so nice, because i am so pissed:
Xiaomi does NOT stand over the law. When you guys use GPL-protected software (which you do a lot, e.g. the linux kernel), you MUST provide the information you are hiding right now.
This is ****ed-up behaviour and its against the law.
> Also, to guarantee our users' privacy safety,
Sure, so you mean security by obscurity, so others can not so easily find your chinese spyware, eh?
Go to hell.
So in short: they give a **** and i guess it will take years until a custom rom will be available. They should be sued so hard.

Yup! Verified it with the "root checker" from play store.
They're procedures out there to NOT let banking apps from seeing the root (which is different from older magisk)
Thank you someOn3 for your attempt and your perseverance. Here's hoping it"ll be available soon..

So if you need help with legal stuff of Xiaomi, please register at their forum and ask the community, haha. Thats so ridiculous. Is there anyone who can be contacted to start legal actions regarding GPL violations against them? I never had to deal with such a thug-company so i have no idea of the process.
i just stumpled upon this here: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/yunluo-s-oss
never created my own rom, but could imagine that this might at least be enough to create a booting OS
