There are many listings on ebay for new factory unlocked H811 G4's.
Does anyone know if the bootloader is unlocked on those devices? Are they really SIM unlocked?
I am buying a used phone and would like to confirm if it can be rooted before purchasing. Can all versions be rooted, or only ones that can have bootloader unlocked? How can I check if bootloader can be unlocked? It seems that all Canadian phones cannot have their bootloader unlocked.
UPDATE: I can't even a find a non-abandoned thread for rooting this device. Could someone be so kind as sharing link to how to root, assuming unlocked bootloader?
Hello,
I bought an unlocked Pixel 3XL from Swappa. I've started the phone with no sim, no wifi, and bootloader unlocking is grayed out. I've reset, started phone with the sim, and same thing. I use T-mobile for my carrier and when I open the unlock app, it says device is already unlocked.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader, any ideas? Phone says unlocked, but unlock bootloader tab in developer options is grayed out.

It's probably a Verizon version which cannot be bootloader unlocked.

If the first two IMEI numbers are 35 your toast. If their 99 you should be able to unlock

It is 35, not 99. Oh well I guess.
Thanks!
So I purchased a Google pixel 3a xl from eBay and there is a locked version that has been locked to sprint, but I think this phone has been flashed with a stock google rom allowing it to use any carrier. The problem is when I try to unlock OEM in the settings it's greyed out with 'cannot unlock to carrier locked phones' Would it be possible to unlock the OEM and the bootloader through the pc and is it possible to unlock the bootloader in general?
In general, if the device is carrier unlocked the OEM is unlocked as well... Unless it is a Verizon model, which it sure sounds like in this case. Unfortunately there is no way to unlock the bootloader then.

No I checked on the website it's not a Verizon model, however it was locked to sprint before it was flashed with the stock rom so maybe that's why it still sees my phone as a carrier locked phone. If I flashed it with another stock room would that fix it?
alguien podrĂa arreglar eso? Llego con una rom llamada matrix cuando enciendo
Hi all,
I have a 3aXL through sprint. The bootloader appears to be locked: "OEM Unlocking" "Unavailable on carrier locked devices." Is there a way to root this thing?
Thank you .
Get Sprint to unlock it... If it is carrier locked, you can't unlock the bootloader, but once it is unlocked you can do an OEM unlock and root to your hearts content (except Verizon models).
No real way around that at this time, but must get it unlocked from the carrier.
