Does anyone know where on the case, the 4G/5G antennae are?
Why do you need to replace it? Also don't replace it yourself or so. Doing so will void warranty all together!

Hi guys,
My question is pretty much as stated in the title.
I want to root my phone and install a custom rom, but I dont want to fall out of warranty coverage so I'm looking at buying a third party policy that covers actual damages (faulty parts, electrical component failure, screen failure, etc) on phones that are rooted.
Before a wave of commenters say "carriers don't care, sammy will replace your GN if its rooted or not", I am glad that has been your experience but I have personally had the highest tier of support on my carrier deny a warranty replacement on a phone with a faulty LTE transceiver specifically because I had a custom rom installed on it. So while I appreciate you trying to save me some money, I won't feel safe rooting any phones on my carrier without a third party warranty.
Thanks!
Are they swappable?
i.e. Can the mainboard from an AT&T Play go right into a Verizon chassis/screen/digitizer? Is there a plate over the hole for the SIM in the Verizon chassis or do you need an AT&T back too? Are there other issues anyone can make me aware of that might scuttle my plan?

Yes you can swap motherboards because everything else is inerchangable. In the verizon motherboard the slimcard slot is plugged up from verizon though and it can not be removed. (They glued it in)
Everything will swap just the same, except on your Att housing you will need to remove the antenna's and place them onto the r800x housing. I the main antenna is not really the same, I experience poor 3g using the housing from a r800a on my r800x, and your att phone has an antenna that the verizon phone does Not have. Other then the antennas you will be ok.
I've got to replace my T-Mobile motherboard, long story, and a used one is like $30 more than motherboards of different carriers. I don't plan on using the phone. So I wonder if there is some relationship between these two pieces that would cause it not to work for anything but the phone. Anyone know? Thanks
Hi
I need to open my Zenfone 2 ze551ml to fix my 3.5mm jack. I dont want to lose warranty. Is it possible to open zenfone 2 without voiding warranty and seal? Also i unlocked bootloader with asus tool. Is my warranty valid? Im from europe and correct me if im wrong but i think i heard that there is a law that allows you to change sofware and still have warranty on Hardware. I contacted Asus about my problem with jack and they just said that i should fill in RMA ticket and send the device. Will they just fix current device or replace it with new device (like nvidia does)?
You generally can't open a device as the warranty void sticker is placed over a screw you need to undo to get inside.
Can't say about warranty as I live in Oz.
If you RMA it and the warranty is void you will receive a bill...
Can anyone tell me what the replacement process is like in the US? I may need to send mine in for service or a replacement. I've heard it's pretty bad but wondering what to expect? Is there anyway to not have to go without a phone cause I use mine for work.
