Hi, I search about this and didn't find anything specific. Going straight to the point, did you experience more battery drain after the 12.5 (global) update? I noticed 1h less sot and a little more drain overnight than before
Please check in settings if there is a "logd" process eating up battery
Sorry for being a noob , were do i check it? In the battery setting were i can see Sot and every drain of every app there is no "logd"
Thanks in advanced

Try app BetterBatteryStats to observe what drains fast.
Honestly I come across same problem on my phone as well. The battery drains much faster.
For me it was ok first days after 12.5. now "other apps" are eating the battery again... no solution yet

I've updated my F3 maybe ten days ago and it was okay for me until two or three days ago.
Now I repared that Google Play Services is consuming 50% of the battery (3000mah/15h). I went to bed with 48% battery and now when i woke up it has just 2%.

The problem seem more likely due to faulty Google update few days ago.
It's not just you: Google App is crashing for many Android users
If the Google app on your Android phone is suddenty crashing and freezing after installing the latest update, you're not alone.

So far, the only solution i found was rooting my phone and typing "su" and then "stop logd" in termux app but this has to be repeated everytime i restart my phone. Do tell me if you find another solution.

Hi, about 4 days ago the battery life in my phone vastly dropped, with no 'actual' cause. Previously it had been lasting a good 2 days with an hour or two of usage each day, and now it drops 30% in the matter of hours without any use. It's becoming unusable, as by the time i take it off charge at night then go to sleep, it will then be almost dead again by the morning.
I've tried restoring it to an earlier point where it didn't have this problem but that hasn't made a difference. I've also got two batteries and they both have the same problem.
Main battery usage -
Android OS - 44%
Screen - 11%
Voice calls - 8%
Android System - 7%
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Android OS - 44% ???
If it was my phone I would suspect that there is something running on the background.
Did you have the OS around 44% before this problem?

Agreed.. and I was the same until I discovered that the App "Android System WebView" was killing my battery, just uninstall / Disable it.. reboot your phone and it should be fine. The downside is.. Webview app is a part of Chrome, so youll probably have to change your G3 browser... I switched to Firefox.. and Its great now
Are you uising a Stock Rom or are you Rooted.. what have you been downloading lately.. Sadly, the latest "Google Play Services" updates, are pretty heavy, although I dont know why.
Another thing to check .. Open Settings > General > Smart Cleaning > Emty any Temp files > Reboot.
As a last resort.. depending on its age... your battery could be dying, theyre about £15 ($20) on eBay.
Hope this helps, but others may have better suggestions than me..

No, it has always been around 20 percent i think, maybe a bit lower. I can't remember for sure though.
Also I forgot to add that I'm using Android 4.4.2

My phone has been rooted and has CloudyG3 installed.
I Haven't really installed anything recently, I've only just updated apps.
The Battery shouldn't be dead as I've got two of them and they both have the same problem.
And finally - There weren't any temp files or cached files to be emptied.

Sorry to say because I use my G3 as my daily driver for work then I can only speak from using a stock rom. Never used CloudyG3, but does it use Play Services or WebView. You could ask this question in the Development thread, but I dont know enough about Cloudy to help.

Hello everybody, I have this phone for 4 days and I'm getting terrible battery life! First day I didn't bother so much but now I'm anxious because it loses 1% almost in 2 minutes.
Brightness is 50%, location off, mobile data and bluetooth are always off, I only use wi-fi, but not too often. I used Greenify to hibernate unnecessary apps but I still don't know what is draining my battery! Are there any unnecessary services you disable to improve battery life? Can it be related to weak signal? Because signal from the operator is not that good, sometimes all lines are empty, that is, no signal. I already did a hard-reset the second day I bought.
Any comment is welcomed, thanks in advance!

Could be lots of things. But that is usually the biggest battery drain next to screen. Without seeing your battery screens it's hard to say.

uh your screen time are much much much better than mine. mine could only last about 2 hours everyday, mostly because I use mobile network though.
If you lost 2% in 5 minutes screen on time, you could get 250 minutes or 4 hours screen time.
I went into Settings > Security > Phone administrators and unchecked Android Device Manager. Then, Application Manager > Google Play Services > Uninstall updates, reboot and click on one of the ? with notifications to update Google Play Services. Now you can re-enable Android Device Manager (or not). That will lower your battery drain when the device is in idle.

Hi all,
I've been getting less than 3 hours of screen on time on Open Beta 9. No root, fully stock. I've got Bluetooth on for my Moto 360 and location on battery saving, but I still get horrible battery life. I've tried resetting many times. I get around 3 hours SOT on custom roms, but not much improvement in general.
I have attached screenshots.
Thanks.

Android System seems to be topping the list with 30%. Normally the screen should be on top or some other app. Install BetterBatteryStats and check what is actually draining the battery. Go through the BBS thread here on XDA for possible solutions.

Doesn't seem to matter what version you're on or what phone. If it has android Google will eventually target you for some data/battery drain. Mine went from 100% to 59% over night doing nothing - this is on a Nexus 6 runniong 6.0.1. I usually only drop 3%-10% at night, but every once in a while i get hit with the google tax.
There is a lot of news around about a bad update sent out by Facebook and Facebook Messenger that are causing battery drain issues. If you use these apps you may want to uninstall, restart and then reinstall to clear out the issue.

Facebook Messenger destroyed my battery yesterday. I opened the app twice and it caused 20%+ battery drain between charges. Guess that really shouldn't be a surprise given the developer...

To my knowledge, there's really no way to troubleshoot wakelocks without root and Wakelock Detector. I used it and was able to identify nlpcollectorwakelock as my biggest problem. Other smaller ones were identified as well. This was all because my device was awake 100% of the time and Google Play Services were eating majority of the battery. I don't know specifically about the drain on androidOS, but the first step I would take would be root + Wakelock Detector.

Hi everyone,
I'm facing some battery drain issue after the last update RMX1993EX_11.A.15: athe the moment my phone can barely achive 5h of SOT (screen on time) while before the update it could easly reach 8h or more.
On the official Realme forum I have read there are a lot of user with the same problem but no one solved. I would like to downgrade to the previous versione but I can't find a way.
I tried to manually set which apps can run in background but not even this helped.
Does anyone noticed the same problem?
I have the same version and I also have a lot of battery drain, with the older version I haven't.
I feel you Bro. I'm in the same condition and there is no way to downgrade. Realme suggested me to disable a lot of function but also in this way I can't solve the problem and so I'm waiting for a new update. Crossed fingers.
Before update my x2 had arround 10h SoT, now less than 6h... wtf?
I don't have the same issue, but try to disable dark mode and update Google services (often associated with battery drain):good:

I've tried to disable the dark mode but it seems that it doesn't affect so much battery, i also searched for possible battery drain issue due to the version of the play services installed on my device but i found nothing, i'll give a try to your suggest hoping will fix che issue.
Is very disappointing, arround 40% less of batery life since last update.

The last one possible at the moment 19.6.68.
I was evuating to install a previous one but I don't think it can really help. I also tried to reinstall the colorOS update via recevery but nothing changed.
Maybe it can help, mine is 19.6.29

Tried also this solution but nothing, in this case doesn't depend to google play services.
Does anyone has something different to test?
The only one solution is a new ColorOS version without battery drain bugs.
I've instaled the last update and the battery drain issue isnt' fixed, I would say that it is even worse.
The only way to achive more than 5h of SOT is to keep enabled the power saving and dark mode, limit all the possible app and don't use the phone (just kidding).
Does anyone know if it is possible to downgrade ?
The main problem is Always on Display. Turn it off! I moved from loosing 7-10% battery over night on my RMX1993 to 2% (with 4G data on) over night after I turned it off. Disable screen off gesture and use dark mode more often with auto adjust display brightness. Turn on smart battery saver on.
I still get around 9-10 hours SOT and two days on light heavy use.

If I'm not wrong, according to your stats you can reach at most 5h of SOT
