I created some folders on the desktop and added some apps there. Is there a way to re-arrange the apps inside the folder? When I add a new app, it will always be last and I couldn't find a way to re-sort or at least sort them alphabetically.
Do you know something I don't, or is this another HTC software failure and I should search for another folder app in the market?
No reply, so I guess it's not possible to configure the folders after created, right?
I don't recall being able to config folders much other than renaming. This is not Windows.
This ain't no htc software failure.....believe me. That's like blaming amtrack because your alarm clock didn't go off.

I like 'app folders'
Is there a way to enable some sort of privacy options for the lockscreen widgets? Love having access to sms and email on lockscreen, but would prefer if there was some sort of privacy filter, like only display message heading or sender, not contents.
Might be a clue...
So I was continuing my search for a solution and remembered that I'd seen something similar before.

If you check out the 10th image here you'll see that the contents of the messages aren't visible. Any other ideas on how this was done?
Is there an app (with/without root) that can allow me to control the apps with location permission? In iOS, there is a location-setting which can be used to enable/disable location access for individual apps. With Android, the only option seems to be none or all.
Thanks in advance.
I always have location off and use Tasker to enable GPS for apps that I know need it legitimately.
Each app has it's own localization options. Look for them

If you have root this will let you approve or deny access to such data whenever the app requests it.

always when i open up viper or the eizo louder app on my nexus the privacy guard active thing will pop out on my status bar its very annoying how do i remove it?? on a carbon 4.3.1 rom.. if android 4.3 is ok no have this problem
I'm not sure if you're looking to remove just the notification or to undo the privacy guard setting for that particular app.
You might hit up http://www.xda-developers.com/android/app-ops-brings-granular-permissions-control-to-android-4-3/ for more information about the App Ops section rolled out in Android 4.3
Basically, to access the hidden feature, you have to create a shortcut to it. Then you can get in there and change the privacy guard settings for each app (location, personal, messaging, device). Each of those privacy groups has a number of individual settings.
Anyone know of a method to edit the lockscreen to show custom text?
For instance, on my old tablet, I could put my name, address and a secondary contact number on the lock screen so that in the event I forgot my tablet somewhere the person who found it had information to return it. I would like to have that option on my phone but I have not seen anywhere to that in the options and google has been no help either.
Anyone have any ideas?
I am surprised that this is not a default option.
Are you rooted? There are Xposed modules that allow it.
