Hi all,
my Google Now reminders fail to vibrate. The reminders will vibrate and play notification sounds on the phone though, but on the watch I can only see the card if I occasionally activate the display.
Actually those Google Now reminders would be extremely helpful as I can quickly set them up by voice command, but the missing vibration renders them useless.
Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem as well?

I am actually surprised hardly anyone is commenting about the issues with Google Now on the watch. It makes me believe my watch is damaged somehow.
Since the upgrade to 1.4 Google Now is very inconsistent. I get cards on the phone and not on the watch, not even a vibrate. I installed "Feel The Wear" and get vibrations but no cards. I have to open the Google app on the watch to see what was the notification.
Integration with Google Now was the reason I chose Android Wear instead of Samsung Gear.
Now it seems Google does not care about Android Wear.
I was also surprised that there was no feedback to my thread here. I was also searching different sites and found evidence, that there is indeed a problem with the Google Now reminders.
Example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/45jfym/google_reminders_will_not_cause_the_watch_to/
But I still don't know if it is not working for everyone. It would be good if someone who has working vibration notification for Google Now reminders could comment on this thread.
I guess the question should be be:
Who is having NO problems with Google Now on this watch?
I haven't had any issues with Google Now but I don't use it for a lot of things other than sports scores and weather.
Can anyone assist me as I'm not very technical when it comes to phones but on my Moto G5 when the proximity sensor on the front panel is not covered I can hear all notification sounds eg:- Calls,E-Mails,Text Msg etc. But if I cover the sensor the volume decreases by approximately 95% this happens when the phone is in my pocket and I can't hear it ring?? I have proved this by calling the phone from my landline and covering the sensor with my finger, when covered the sound is hardly heard but if I don't cover it the sound is at full volume, any suggestions or ideas how I can get this problem sorted????Many Thanks,Seth. Just a short update on this problem I have done a FACTORY RESET on the phone as advised and this still occurs. When I go into SAFE MODE I do not get any sound from the phone at all.To test this I sent an E-Mail from my laptop and it was received on the phone with no sound only an E-Mail Icon, the same happens with an incoming call no sound but a Phone Icon to indicate I have received a call????Any suggestions???? Hi there just an update I have had a brand new replacement phone and transferred my Sim's and Sd Card to the new phone powered it up and I STILL have the same problem???When the display is covered the sound is cut by approx 95% but if the display is NOT covered then the phone volume is at full??? The Apps I have installed are 1 Truecaller, 2 Zedge Ringtones, 3 BBC Weather, 4 My Vodafone, 5 Google Keep and 6 MIPC can anyone help?????
I recently find out that my S9 keep emitting IR from the proximity sensor, is that normal or it's something not right happening on my phone.
P/s: I did some Google and found out that S9 has 2 proximity sensors, but why it has to be two of them but not one like other phones?
Also the IR led on the video below can only be seen via a surveillance camera, not via other phone's camera.
Please see my video

I have CCTV on my house and at night when people walk past using their phone you can see the same thing, probably for the "Block accidental touches in a dark place", as the screen off when making a call 'should' only activate the IR when you are on a call
Also if you are playing a voice message on WhatsApp and put your hand too close the to proximity sensor it stops the playback
Phone camera as an IR block filter to filter out IR, although you can still see TV Remotes IR with it
Thank you for your comment, but event when I turn that function off, the IR still blinking.
I know I may just being over-thinking but it's bugging me still.
Even though I could not see it blinks but I still know it's blinking always without any explanation.
Easy screen turn on
I finally know the reason why.
It's the "Easy screen turn on" feature that keep the proximity sensor emitting IR.
Once turn it off, the sensor no longer emits IR.
Hi All
Have a stock rom Fold3 and having an issue whereby the proximity sensor is not turning off the screen in WhatsApp when you bring the phone to your face to listen to a voice note, so you just get blasted in the ear by the speaker instead of it switching to the earpiece
Thanks in advance all
I have exactly the same issue. it blasts the sound from the speaker for a second then turns it to the earphone. There's a delay

For the moment i'm using this fix:
On smartphone go to Bluetooth connected smartwatch settings and turn off for calls. (not using my watch for call anyways)
Same issue on my Note 20 ultra connected to my GW4!
Hi, I have the same issue using S21 Ultra + Watch4 and fixed disabling Calls on BT settings of the watch as suggested. Any news regarding a real fix from Samsung?
I have the same issue on Zenfone 8 with GW4, and whatsapp version 2.22.18.75.
Is there any news about this issue?
I have an update on this, in my case, the issue is not limited to the smartwatch, but to every Bluetooth device for which the calls are enabled, I tried with my car's Bluetooth and a pair of earphones.
Can someone else test with earphones as well? I disabled multimedia audio and left enabled calls, and the proximity sensor with whatsapp doesn't work
Same problem for me with a Samsung galaxy a71 and a watch 4 classic
I guess we have to wait for a fix from whatsapp...

Omg thanks so much for this I've been having the same issue and I've been trying to figure out if my phone is broken or something
Yes when I disconnect my galaxy watch 4 from my s21 ultra then the voice note proximity sensor works but if it's connected to the watch then it doesn't work
I'm going to message WhatsApp about fixing thisb

This issue may occur because your proximity sensor is turned off. You can turn it on by going to your phone's settings. You can turn it on from call settings or turn it on from sensor settings.

the proximity sensor is turned on, in fact, it does work with other applications like telegram.
The issue is only with WhatsApp and only if a Bluetooth device, with the call option enabled, is connected.

you don't need to disconnect the watch completely, it is enough to disable the call option in the Bluetooth connection settings of the watch, leaving it connected
With WhatsApp version 2.22.21.83 the issue seems to be solved!
If the proximity sensor on your device is not working properly while using WhatsApp voice notes, you may want to try the following solutions:
Clean the proximity sensor: Sometimes, dirt or dust may accumulate on the proximity sensor, which can cause it to malfunction. Clean the sensor using a soft cloth or cotton swab.
Restart your device: Restarting your device can often solve minor software issues that may be causing the proximity sensor to malfunction.
Update WhatsApp: Make sure that you are using the latest version of WhatsApp. Check the app store for any available updates and install them if necessary.
Check permissions: Make sure that WhatsApp has permission to access your device's microphone and proximity sensor. You can check this in your device's settings.
Disable screen protectors or cases: Screen protectors or cases may interfere with the proximity sensor's ability to detect when your device is close to your ear. Try removing any screen protectors or cases and see if that resolves the issue.
If the problem persists, you may want to contact the manufacturer of your device or WhatsApp support for further assistance.
when you bring the phone to your face to listen to a voice note on WhatsApp, the proximity sensor fails to turn off the screen. As a result, instead of the audio playing through the earpiece, it blasts directly through the speaker, causing discomfort in your ear.
Hi friend
If the proximity sensor is not functioning properly while using voice notes on WhatsApp, try restarting your device or reinstalling the app. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to WhatsApp support for further assistance.Free Fire
Hi,
I have a Watch GT Classic, but I don't want it to ring/vibrate when I get a phone call.
Is there anyway to disable this? I already disabled all notifications, but the calls keep coming through.
I have seen the Do Not Disturb function, but that stops the display from turning on when turn my wrist which basically makes the watch unusable.
Are there any other options?

don't allow the Huawei health app to access your notifications.
