Hi everyone, I have recently bought a bluetooth headphone adapter from Ebay (cheap and nasty) and im paying the price with pretty poor sound quality and occasional sound cut outs etc. It does however work just fine changing tracks and this was the main reason i bought it as while cycling it is almost impossible to get my phone out and press the correct buttons. So what im hoping to do is use headphones plugged into the 2.5mm jack but still change tracks using the remote, is there any way to achieve this?
Thanks in advance.
Bluetooth Headset as remote only
Hi,
I am also looking for a similar app for my T-mobile Dash (smart phone). I have a bluetooth stereo headset that works great, but i want to use this head set only for play/pause/skip and listen music from the phone headphones.
Kindly let me know if you have found any such app.
Thank You.
Regards
Raghu

Hi guys
I would know if there is solution for boost the audio with headphone connected at the phone
thanks
To me this is a major flaw of the defy so far. I can hardly listen to my music when I am walking outside and I really don't understand why the volume is so weak when using the headphone
get better headphones?
Hi, I'm using the Sennheiser CX 200 Street II (excellent price for the quality) and I never use more than half of the volume. So, good inear pieces (those with rubber tips) might help
PS: Please don't tell me you're using the stock headset! They might work for one or two calls but not for enjoying music.
PPS: Does anyone know a compatible headset adapter? I mean one with a built-in mic that allows you to use your own headphones without the need of a soldering iron
As far as I noticed with my girlfriend's ipod touch, she can use my headphones to make skype calls. I can only suspect that they work the other way around. (her headphones are far but I might use someone elses iphone headphones tomorrow)

The iPod/iPhone Headset works, as I read several times. Unfortunately, you can't use your own headphones with that headset. Know what I mean? I'm looking for something that provides a mic and a 3,5mm jack for headphones
€: Finally, found what I was looking for: http://cgi.ebay.de/e12i-Stereo-Head...812849?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f064f7f31 I hope the quality is not so poor.
I use the music app Poweramp. Apart from being the most comprehensive music app there is, it also has a built in software amplifier to boost volume. I highly recommend it, definitley an app worth paying for.

One of these days (I'll have to go buy a 3.5mm socket) I'm planning to give an old Nokia 3.5mm set of headphones a new life. I only have to study how the mic/button work (might be some different resistors involved).
I'll get back with a how to after I'm done.
Anyone try the ZaggSmartbuds for www.zagg.com they have a 3.5mm jack, inline mic, inline volume control(analog). i normally use my SD9-HD bluetooth headset when listening to music but sometimes I prefered to be wired. Have been considering the Zaggs real hard.
But exist some head phone with mic and noise reduction function all in one?

Well... the ZAGGsmartbuds, the iPhone inears, the bose headset, the V-Moda Vibe
II w/mic...
I have found this
http://cgi.ebay.it/ZAGG-SMARTBUDS-N...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item5d2d8b12e4
but I have read in the footer ad there is wrote this:
"Some non-US smartphones, such as the Samsung i9000, have a unique jack configuration that requires an adapter for use with the ZAGGsmartbuds."
So, for My Motorola Defy (France) could be some problem with this headphone??
thank's guys
We might have a different cable configuration at the jack, but we'll never know, if no one tries
PS: I'll tell you if the headset adapter that I ordered via eBay works for the european Defy and how it works.
I was more thinking of some kind of software solution to amplify/unlock the Defy's volume (I guess it is limited for health reasons).
The ones I found on the market just don't work.
I do not intend to buy a new headset as I use it 5-10 minutes a day at most.
Try the poweramp music player. It offers a graphic equalizer and the opportunity to amplify the volume. Remember: too much amplification results in bad sound.
I couldn't find anything on this topic, but I was wondering if there was a way to use my Evo as speakers through usb and or wifi from my pc. I have headphones but theres just sometimes I dont want to wear them.
thanks.
I'm pretty sure that this would be not possible. As the phone doesn't have any sort of audio-in jack. I'm sure something could be made to transfer the audio via Bluetooth, but your computer would have to have a Bluetooth signal transmitter too
And no offense, but you can get a set of speakers at like Wal-Mart for $10 and would eliminate the risk of blowing out your speaker on your evo (if this were possible to begin with)
yeah i have an iHome dock i was using for speakers but my sister currently kidnapped my aux cable so I was just wondering in the meen time.
Hi everybody,
I'm having problems with my phone and the HDMI connection. It's the sound the one with the problem, this happens when I connect my phone to my monitor which doesn't have speakers. I was hoping to plug the 3.5mm headphone jack from the phone to some external speakers but after the hdmi it's connected, the audio stops paying through the external speakers. I'm assuming that all sound is redirected through the hdmi cable. Is there a way that I can connect my speakers to the phone and use hdmi at the same time?
PS: if anybody has some Bluetooth speakers I would live to heart if you have the same problem, I'm going to buy some Bluetooth speakers real soon
i guess not... the first time i tried connecting my phone to a samsung bx2250, i was also completely ignorant that the sound on the phone will totally get fed via the hdmi... and so that's where i learned that i needed to plug my speakers to the monitor's audio jack... and if ever you're considering buying something just to make it work, i guess buying a new monitor with hdmi and audio out would be better worth it than just bluetooth speakers...
The problem is that I just bought my new monitor and I'm not going to change it now. I love my monitor.
Finding a monitor with speakers built-in is really rare, they do exist, but again they are rare.
I'm going to buy the bluetooth speakers for not just my phone, also my laptop and all the other stuff I have with bluetooth.
I'm pretty sure there has to be a way of doing this, maybe changing ROMs. Or maybe just installing an app that could do this.
I'm just speculating but I have a feeling that the hdmi sound is controlled over software, and we can still redirect the output through the phone speakers and/or the headphone jack. Too bad I'm not a developer too find out about it.
I just received my Bluetooth receiver and everything is fixed now.
So since there is no sound output through the normal outputs, when the HDMI is connected, the bluetooth does output sound.
So if you only have a monitor, without speakers and you want to still use to connect to your phone. Bluetooth speakers or a receiver will work perfectly!
I've just purchased a Subpac, which is a device that can be paired with bluetooth and uses wired headphones to connect, playing the music through the Subpac which has a 3.5mm line out. But I have a pair of Sony wh-1000mx2s that I would like to use with, which isn't possible without a newer Samsung phone. I checked on my sister's S9 and it indeed worked fine with their dual audio feature, which is disappointing being a P2XL owner.
I do not want to have to buy a bluetooth splitter which would have to be connected to the phone, defeating the goal of being wireless, and I really don't want to switch to Samsung just for this feature. Surprised there isn't an app or mod available to achieve this.
