[Solved] Apps aren't loading content from the internet - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Out of nowhere my Galaxy S20+ (G985F) stopped loading anything from the internet in many apps. Both when connected to wi-fi and 4G.
Firefox won't load any pages, reddit app won't load anything, Steam app won't load anything, wallpaper apps won't load anything...
Whatsapp and Instagram are working properly though.
I didn't do anything to the phone today and it was working normal until an hour or two ago. I have tried restarting the phone.
Should I wipe cache?
Does anyone have any idea what is happening? Any solutions?
EDIT: well damn, I just figured it out. It was Blokada. I disabled it and now everything is back to normal. Weird, I didn't receive any updates from it and it never gave me issues before.

Problems with streaming video over WiFi [Solved]

Anyone have any ideas on the cause of this?
I can watch videos on youtube and facebook while on 3G, but when on WiFi youtube and facebook videos errors out. I can watch youtube fine using a PC on the same WiFi network. I am on stock rooted LG8.
Things I've tried.
removing all youtube updates, reboot
clearing youtube data, reboot
uninstalling busybox, reboot
removing adblock (restoring original hosts file), reboot
I don't want to do a full factory reset. Anyone got any ideas?
I get this issue sometimes on my phone. I find that restarting the phone makes the problem go away for awhile. Also, try resetting your wifi connection. Hold your finger on the connection in wifi settings and select "forget"...then add the hotspot again. I think this is a bug within the stock LG8 ROM. Install BlazerROM, haven't had any issues since I did this.
Well, I have restarted the phone numerous times without any improvement, but I never thought of deleting the WiFi connection and recreating it. That did it. Thanks.
i'm having this same problem.. youtube works over 3G but i get "connection to server lost" when i try to stream a video while connected to wifi.
already tried several methods and same problem. i'm stock and unrooted.. i wonder if having wifi setup with static IP (no DHCP) has anything to do with it..
really hope they fix this problem because it's really lame.
Edit: it looks like it does have to do with having wifi setup as static IP.. found this thread with someone having the same problem, yet no fix.. pretty ridiculous Google/Samsung, not sure which of the two is to blame..

Load times pretty slow when on Wi-Fi

This all started today outta nowhere. When I'm on WiFi, load times are pretty slow. For example, loading new tweets on Twitter, new posts on Facebook, going on websites on Chrome, exc. Everything that has to do with the internet and loading, it's pretty slow. And I know it's WiFi, because when I turn off WiFi and go back to LTE, the phone loads normally.
Already tried:
Speed testing on WiFi, and it's the normal speed of 60Mb/s
Restarting the phone
Clearing cache on recovery
You guys got any idea?
Mine is fine with an Apple Airport Extreme.

Can you download a Speed Test application and post a screenshot of the results when you are connected to Wi-Fi?
"Based on what you've said there's a good chance your issue is related to the bugged Android System Webview update. Could you look under App Manager > All and see if you're running version 37 or 42?
If it's 42 try rolling back to v37 by uninstalling it from either the app manager or play store. The newest version has been giving a lot of people issues."

Bootloop after opening Chrome

Trying to help my dad out with his Pixel C. He was complaining about constant bootlooping after Android Nougat was installed on his tablet. I did some remote trouble shooting with him, and nothing seemed to help. I instructed how to do a factory reset. He did this, reinstalled his apps, and a few days later the bootloops started happening again. He ended up getting an RMA from Google.
New device came today. I added his account, all was fine. Restored his apps. Again, all is fine. used some random apps, again, all is fine. Opened Chrome. Bootloop. Cannot get it to stop bootlooping unless I turn off wifi BEFORE it connects to wifi. Sometimes you don't have a chance, it connects before you disable it. If i disable wifi, I can use the tablet and it is fine (well as much as you can do on a non internet connected device). As soon as wifi connects, it bootloops. I have removed his google account, disabled all syncing, removed almost every single app, yet the problem remains.
Does anyone have any idea what else I can do?
I want to grab a trace of whatever is causing the crash, but not sure of the best way/app that will let me do that.
Try disabling chrome
I tried uninstalling it as well as uninstalling every other program.
I'm trying to flash the latest factory image, and it keeps dying trying to flash the system partition.

Sounds like your WiFi is broken. Does your camera auto focus quickly, slowly or broken?
Download this app, run it, scroll to firmware tab and compare your bootloader to PDA version (last 3 characters).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
Unless you're running a ported ROM, the last 3 should match to indicate you have the right match. If you mismatch, you may lose some compatibility. Like if your mismatched across Android OS versions, your WiFi won't work and your camera focus will be slow or broken.

Chrome laggy and unusable on pixel 2 xl

Title says it all. Been dealing with it since shortly after the may update or so. I have watched YouTube videos, turned data saver off, and reached out to a couple members for help. Chrome was super fast and a joy to use before. Even when I had 20 tabs open it wouldn't miss a best. Now it freezes and lags for 20+ seconds when switching tabs, pulling the app up, when I switch wifi networks, and when I do other odds and ends too.
If I turn JavaScript off it seems to be fine, but so many things use JavaScript. I can't browse without it. Firefox doesn't behave this way. I have tried collecting various matlogs and there never seems to be any issues on them.
I've also been unable to look into my discover card credit card account. When ever I login and the page loads I'm prompted with a message that says "you are logged out." It's like it's booting me immediately, and I never get into the account. This doesn't happen in my Firefox browser. I didn't use chrome on my Galaxy s4 until the very end when Firefox started ticking me off. Maybe I'll have to go back.
What are you all experiencing, and what have you done to correct this issue if you've seen it? I'm on chrome 67.0. is anyone wkas experiencing this? Is it worth trying to uninstall updates? I don't want to really use an un-upfsted version of chrome though. I just want it to work right. Google searches didn't yield much help for this issue. There are a lot of threads about it from the 2012ish era, but there isn't anything recent.
honestly, you're issue is not common. I haven't had an issue with chrome in 3 years+.
Is this the only app you're having issues with? because if not, then there is something else going on...
What I would do is: clear cache, go into Manage Space, and clear all data. Then uninstall, restart phone and reinstall.
Try Chrome Beta if your feeling up to it - it's crazy fast and use it 3+ hours a day with 10 tabs, no issues.
I have all settings in chrome pretty much stock - always have data saver on because I use a lot of data.
Also, I use Brave browser sometimes just as a backup. It's amazing cuz it's based off of chrome. But nothing works like chrome does, thats why I always keep it my default browser. Everyone used their phone differently but for me, Chrome is always consistent and fast.
yeah...maybe clearing the cache, data, and even uninstalling the updates (as you mentioned) might set things right...
This ended up being a bad, bloated host file for AdAway. I don't remmeber the name, but I think I posted it in the AdAway thread. Mods, feel free to close this one out. Thanks.
