Change type device in TWRP

Hi i have an TWRP 3.0.2-0 on my android tv M8S+
But i have a problem: when i try to flash an zip rom the TWRP return this error:
"This package is for "m8s+" devices; this is a "n200".
M8S+ can accept n200c rom (that i think was an m8s not plus) but i need to flash M8S+ firmware (with stock rom it can be flash)
How i can change device in recovery.img?

You need to flash it when you are on stock ZUI which is based on Android 6.

I better recommend you to flash stock via QFIL, unlock bootloader, install TWRP and then MIUI.

Required treble RR GSI for Lava Iris 88s Oreo V8.1.0

Dear Xda,
Can you please help me to make treble RR GSI for Lava Iris 88s Oreo V8.1.0. I downloaded so many GSI and try to installed with TWRP. Its Installed suceesfully but when reboot for normal system boot its stuck for some time and then reboot into bootloader. I tried so many GSI Like RR GSI and Android 10 GSI as well as Pixel GSI also.
And one more thing when i try to install lazy flasher zip from TWRP its showing Error_1 and not Installing.
Please give any solution, So i can install RR Custom GSI in my lava Iris 88s.

You need to decrypt the phone . And format data ,reboot into recovery (not system ) and install gsi rom to system partition .make sure it's gsi arm a only . It's working for me .

bro i tried to flash this recovery via sp flashtool but it gives an error 'pmt changed rom must be downloaded'
can u please tell how did u managed to install this recovery and via which version of sp flashtool.

Brother can you tell which all gsi you tried on your iris 88s and which one do you recommend and is stable?

You can decrypt by flashing "Disable DM Verity.zip" from somewhere here in XDA

Sorry, havent had the time to check it at all.
Work has been hectic long hours and almost no days off, so havent found the motivation to check this especially since the custom rom I made works as it should.
If things calm down and i get motivated again i will test this out, hopefully :fingers-crossed: :fingers-crossed:

I flashed Havoc-OS-v2.9-20190914-phhgsi_arm64_ab-Official.img and opengapps-nano,magisk v20.2.
Q1:How to canel dm-verity error(booting)?
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img =>not working.
Q2:Magisk shows cts profile error,how to fix it ?
I use Magisk-Hide Props Config,not working.
Q3:I flash GPay-fix v1.9,still not working,because CTS profile failed?

flashed magisk at last.

No auto-brightness.
night light broke.
No NFC-SIM support for hamipay.

How did flash gsi? Do I need to unroot? I need to flash custom vbmeta? Is it works on Europe version? Can you make tutorial pls?

My RN8P is global version in Taiwan.
1.U just must unlock phone.
2.I flashed TWRP by wzsx150
3.format /data with TWRP,flash GSI-ROM
4.disable dm-verity,encryption,avb 2.0 etc.,
TWRP has functions to do it.
magisk ?,up to you
5.reboot to system,good luck!
if stuck in logo,try to flash permissiver.zip,maybe fine.
if bootloop to TWRP,try to format /data,maybe fine.

I knew GSI works on this phone since a long time back, but i don't understand the drawbacks of that versus a ROM that might be specifically compiled for this phone... The mentioned known issues are literally things i never use.

Really nice to to see the first custom rom working for our device. Can you please send some screenshots,does the sim work,camera,video,does it pop up errors,is it easy to restore a backup of stock miui?

some GSIs,My phone had no signal,mobile radio power is off,can't turn it on.

I never flashed a GSI img before , and I fear brick again my device, if possible to we had a flash tutorial in video.

i flashed the stock rom it works fine ...but custom rom it glitching or flickering !! tried official firmwire also afet installing the custom rom !! still flickering !!! font know whats happening !!

maybe the firmware not suitable with the custom rom?

I don't know I tried the latest firmware still happening !! its a firmware glitch I guess !! but cant find any solution yet so sticking with the miui !!!

start fresh , flash miui 13 fastboot rom using miflash, boot it , then flash custom firmware after that.
