Hey guys
I hope someone can answer this question for me:
Last 2 months or so my S20+ has been stuck in a manually updated version of the One UI 3.0 beta and I couldn't update at the time because of switching pc's and some other stuff, it doesn't really matter. So my question now, after I manually updated my firmware to the latest stable version of One UI 3.0 today, will I be able to get automatic updates again or will I have to keep doing them manually?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm not really familiar with this stuff... :/
Thanks in advance

Which exact model do you have? You wouldn't happen to have the Verizon version? If so, that is the latest update that's been approved and released by Verizon. My recommendation would be to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM.
hi
i just found out that i have a yakjuxw
I don´t know much about installing custom rom´s and thought it would be easy to fix this by changing a setting or so
I will wait till i get an automatic update

At the speed of Samsung, you will probably get the update in 6 months or so. If that isn't fast enough, the following guide would help to get you current:

Hi All,
My first post, where I have a question when I'm reading the great stockplus version for the OUYA.
I just received my first OUYA and I'm very happy already, but of course I want more !
Forgive my fist NOOB question, but I am right when I say that this stockplus will only work on 1.0519 version right ?
Is there any sight on getting a stockplus compatible with the latest version 1.0561_r1 ?
At the same time I tried get the Google Play installed, but I keep on getting a connection error,
maybe that's also related to the latest updated version ?
Well thanks for your replies in advance.
Hope to contribute in the future myself

StockPlus IS A ROM - the full modded firmware running on your Ouya. It's not an app or a program on top of the official firmware - therefore it is compiled from a given source.
At this point, that source is 519r2.
I know the temptation is to get "the latest and the greatest" but you have to read and see what is missing if you decide to take 519....ask yourself if you absolutely need something that is only in 561. I assume the answer is NO.
Hi guys
when do you think we will see a new marshmallow update from Google? Will it be anytime soon? Will it be a major update fixing a lot of stuff, maybe changing something? Or will it be a little security update just like the previous one? And what do you think the version will be, 6.0.2, or will they jump to 6.1?
Thread is open for discussion/theories.

I guess Marshmellow doesn't need too much of tinkering to begin with. So, we will be getting timely secuity updates from time to time along with small fixes as and when they are found. One thing is for for sure though, We ain't jumping to 6.1 directly.
i believe there is a reason not only the latest update was refered to as 'monthly security upate'. also we're beyond that point where every update increases the version number. chances are that we'll stay on 6.0.1, unless google includes a somewhat major feature update.
Hello everybody, I just received the OTA of Android 11 on my Note 10+ Snapdragon US version. Does anybody knows if its safe to install it? Cause I have a lot of information and is not an option to do a wipe data or hard reset after the installation. I have hex and other optimization apps but I can live without them if I find any issue.
Hope somebody already have installed this official update and share your opinions.
Thanks in advance.

Hey, I don't think it's safe to install at this time. I just updated my phone about an hour ago and am now stuck in a bootloop because of this update.
Unfortunately it's looking like I'll probably loose 6 months of data because of this unless there's a work around anyone knows about.
Looking for the safest ... least invasive way to either disable the **** ton of bloatware on this crappy N975U1, or advice on the best rooting routes that are available right now... Samsung was bad before... but I cannot deal with this crap that they loaded in with the android11 update! I'd read that Magisk hadn't even been effective on this last attack by these heathens...
Hi ,
Need advice on the best way to upgrade Android version on my new (really new) Pixel 3 XL- still waiting for it.
In the lights of latest news on "EDL Bug" bricking lots of Pixel 3 phones( just search the Internet for last few days ),
I started to doubt if purchasing it was a good idea. So either I return it right away (EBay purchase- 14 days return )
or try to risk it and install Android 10 only and then wait for stable Android 12.... from all of the research it looks like
security update for Android 11 can be the culprit here? Is it possible to jump /omit upgrading to certain versions like jumping
from ver 9 to ver 10 and later straight to ver 12, or does it have to be done in sequence ?
Sorry for a noob question ,,, but until now i was using only IPhone , and now decided to try Pixel devices.
If upgrade HAS to be done in sequence, then risk of Bricking it is too high and I rather return the device , loosing on
shipping only.
Thank you very much,
Lino
Anybody ?....
Please , I will need to make a decision as soon as I receive the new phone!
I am sure that there is a lots of people here, for whom this question is very trivial...
Can I upgrade from Android Pie straight to Android 12, OTA... or should I go in steps..
Thanks. Lino
you can flash the full factory image of android 12 beta, or android 11, whichever you prefer, and google made it easy using the online android flash tool. when using this, you don't need to go in steps whatsoever.

Im running the Scorpian Rom right now. Really do not know whats causing the bricks but im gonna stick to custom roms from here on out.
I'd go with Android 12. Either Beta 4.1, or wait a week or so for the public release. The EDL thing I read is only happening on Android 11, so I think you'll be safe updating to 12.
Ok , thank you all
I think when I receive the phone, I will update OTA to version 10 first , then I wait for official stable version 12
and Sideload it ? Yes? ....Sorry i am totally new to this...
So I have to unlock the bootloader first, do i have to root it ?... like using Majisk ? in order to sideload the stable
version 12 ?
Anybody has a links to good step by step tutorial ? Will appreciate it !
Anyway watching lately lots of you tube videos about unlocking etc,
Will appreciate any general pointers how to go about it, egz. what to do first , second etc.
Thank you, Lino
