Sony WF-SP800N Compatibility - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

I have had the new Sony WF-SP800N for about two months now and am generally happy with their quality but good Lord, disconnects happen often, sometimes as much as every 20 minutes. I have some older Aukey wireless ear buds and they virtually never disconnect.
I'm trying to pinpoint whether it's something with the way Samsung does BT but it's getting tiresome... I have a 3aXL and a U11 to test with too but wanted to see if anyone else sees this behavior either with the SP800N or even the 1000MX3s with their Note.

Motorola S9, cuts out.. choppy

Hello,
I have a problem with the S9. While listening to music every couple minutes or so, it's like it skips for a second or two.
Also it sometimes will turn itself off.
Anyone experienced any of the two ?
Known problem. Even says so on the box. (Says you should keep it above your waist otherwise it will cut out).
That's bs. it is above my waste...

I had the same - with all 3 of the S9s that I had. Sound quality was great, but it was hyper sensitive to phone location.
And all 3 of them failed with exactly the same problem. They're supposed to be suitable for active people - I used mine whilst running on the treadmill down at the gym. Bit of perspiration in them and then went bzzzzt, stop. Rubbish.
The Jabras that I'm now using don't look anywhere near as good, and don't sound quite as good, but the battery lasts for twice as long, and they don't die when I get a bit sweaty (ewwwww!)
hmmm that really strange as i constantly use my S9 with both my wizard and athena and have never noticed this problem even though my phones are usually lefin my trouser pockets below my waist
True, but it dies after a bit of sweat hits it...and you may find some work better with other phones. IMHO I suggest wait for it to become in-ear and better water protection.
I found the range to be dependent on the bitrate of A2DP
When i 1st got my S9 i could listen from 2 rooms apart but the sound was a bit low quality, ofcourse i value quality and i cnaged it and now the phone has to be really close to me, but its not a prob since i only use it omw to school n back.
Check Here
(Look around if you can find different values working )
I have a similar problem with my S9, except it constantly stutters, playing less than a second at a time. It's completely unuseable.
I've tried changing the bitpool settings, but it didn't make a difference, playback still unuseable. Does anyone know what else it may be? Or if there are any hacks or apps, or any way in which this can be resolved? It used to work fine before I upgraded from WM5 to 6.1
Moto S9 -> SPV M700 (trinity) -> WM6.1
S9
I got my first S9 today by mail, and I connected it so it would charge, and first the light was red and then after about two hours turned blue so I tought it was fully charged, but when I disconnected it the light was just stucked there and I'm unable to turn it off or on, does anyone have any idea why this might be?
Did you order off of ebay jcostantini? If you did you might have a fake or defective there.
Kraize
Yes - Have an S9. It worked fine on my Trinity (SPV M700) before I flashed the roms and upgraded to 6.1
Now it doesn't want to work. Every half second it skips for a 10th of a second, this happens no matter how I change the bitpool sizes etc etc.
Does anyone... ANYONE... have an idea.
I have tried it on a couple of different radio ROM's too...
Cheers!
could be just the ROM, i would suggest just waiting for a good final version to come out for your 6.1 loaded phone... if its already loaded, then i suggest you post it in your specific phone problem to troubleshoot
i have s9 + HTC juno/phoebus with the clean dev 6.1 running and they run awesome, phone placement is no issues and i only have some skip issues every few minutes which i dont' mind... sound clarity and quality is excellent

[Q] Wearing 360 and your health

Is it harmful to wear a watch (BT connected) all day? Could this trigger some disease?
Can't be much worst than the cell signals and Wi-Fi signals and everything else that flows through us on a daily basis. I'm hoping we get superpowers eventually.

I'm holding out for something awesome like invisibility or invincibility. No doubt though, I'd end up with elastic skin or toad like tongue. Or just cancer.
I don't really know how answer this but I have been wearing BT head sets for years in my ear...As far back as the first Jawbone and now the Bose 2. I am an IT Sys Engineer and I average 2500-3000 minutes in calls per month... I am in my mid-40's and see doctor on regular and checkups, etc and nothing has been noticed on me...
There are a lot of talk over years on that topic but i have hours of BT and I am fine.... Not to exclude the Nike Fuel band I did wear back in the day to the first Samsung Gear, Gear 2 and now the Moto
Each is his own but I don't fear there things I am more concerned about not getting the flu and getting my yearly flu shot over issues with getting something from BT...and now days cars, etc have all kind of BT in them and how many hours is one on a car...so not going away anytime soon.

Similar here. I am a project manager and I sit on the BT headset for hours. If not that, a pair of Bose AE2W (BT) and no issues to complain of.

After AT&T software update, audio output is crunchy with screen off

I've had my Note 7 since it was released on AT&T and actually love it. I was a bit reluctant to go back to Samsung after my Sony Z3Compact, but the Note 7 really wowed me.
As a commuter, I use the bluetooth audio 3 hours every day in the car and often either plug in headphones or use a set of bluetooth buds while I'm doing chores around the house. Until Saturday, audio output was phenomenal. Saturday I got a notification that there was a software update available, so I thought nothing of installing it. Since that time, my audio (BT, built-in speaker, or plugged in headphones) gets static-y when I have the screen off. Turn on the screen and everything sounds fantastic again. Short of reformatting the phone (or rooting and rom-ing, which I'm not even sure is an option yet), I've tried everything I can think to try to get this issue cleared up.
I'm willing to experiment, so throw your suggestions at me. I've searched around and haven't come up with any other users experiencing this issue. Any help is appreciated.
I've had this issue occasionally with my Tmobile Note 7. It hasn't received any updates yet. I noticed plugging in the charger also stops the problem.

More info: on the ride home today, I switched to Google Play Music and put on some music that would give me some pretty clean audio... No crunchiness,no static. Seems it may be related to Pocket casts.
I'll see if some setting or other got tripped.
Any suggestions on THAT are also welcome.
Aha! I may have it sorted now.
I had also bumped the playback speed of my podcasts to 3x (from 2.6), so I figured I would check to see if that's the cause and taking it back down to 2.7x seems to have fixed it!

MJYUN Wireless Earbud Review - Great for running

I recently got a pair of the MJYUN wireless earbuds, and I've been pretty impressed. I've been using them for the past few days, and so far, I'm quite impressed. The sound is pretty good for such a small headphone, with surprising bass and good treble and a decent sound stage. Where these really have shined, though, is the fit and comfort. These are very light and fit very well. So far, I've worn them at the office and for a few runs, and they have stayed in place with no issues and are very comfortable over longer duration. At my desk, I typically listen to music whenever I'm not in meetings, which this week has been mostly 1 to 2 hour stretches. During my runs, I haven't had any problem with them shifting or needing adjustment. Additionally, the ability to power just the right earbud is awesome for running or biking on the street. I also haven't had any issues with the the earbuds pairing with each other, whether they are powered on at the same time or the left one is powered on after the right one is already playing music. I have noticed a slight delay when watching movies (less than a second), which is a minor annoyance, but not a deal breaker for me.
The battery life so far has been great. I charged these fully when I got them on Saturday using a previously purchased usb c to c cable and charger, and they fully charged in 30 or 40 minutes. So far, I haven't had to recharge the case again. I love that this uses USB C, and the provided cable is nice to have. I've been able to consistently get 2 hours at a stretch before the battery dies. I replace the earbuds in the case when I am not using them, and that's been enough to maintain a charge. The case LED provides some indication of remaining charge (it shows green when it's open if the charge is >50%, and yellow when < 50%), and it's still showing green after about 6 hours of listening time, so I'm happy.
Phone calls work well. Both earbuds have a button, which is used to turn on the buds, pause or play music, and answer or end calls. Once the call is answered, only the right earbud provides audio. The people I talked to had no trouble hearing me, and the music restarted without any problem once I hung up.
Initial paring with my phone (a LG V20) was seamless, and I haven't had any issues with connecting since the initial pairing. Additionally, the range has been great. In my office, I was curious how good the range would be, and managed to get about 75 feet away from my phone before they started to break up (which beat my Garmin Vivoactive 3 by about 20 feet).
Overall, I have been very impressed with these, and would highly recommend these, especially for running or working out.
Here's some pictures of the headphones.

galaxy buds and S10+ issues

i think the buds are really good.... but I am now on my third pair, as the first two both malfunctioned, and i'm starting to wonder if its the buds or the phone. In . both cases, when new, I had equal stereo, but within a few days, I found the left side to be much quieter than the right side. One day they were fine. the next day they weren't, and they never returned to working properly. Identical experience on the first two sets. In both cases I had tried resetting them, removing and re-pairing them, messing around with loads of different galaxy buds and bluetooth parameters etc. Of course, I tried reversing them in the opposite ears, but it was the bud, not my ear! So now im on my third pair, and hoping they dont go wrong. Anyone else had these issues? Perhaps its the device itself?
enable disable absolute volume.
set volume to max on ur earbuds and never to change again. change the touch controls to some other function or lock it. control volume only via phone.

They weren't.
Well I can say that the other end of a call not being able to hear you, and the crackling of presumably crappy bluetooth connection when phone in pocket does NOT improve with a different phone. I had to warranty my s10+ for the sprint signal issues and no change on either front. Getting ready to try and see if they'll swap out my buds now, but who knows with samsung nowadays

I had major issues with my buds after an update so much that I couldn't put my phone in my pocket without 2 or 3 second dropouts. I had to reset the buds a couple of times and now they are perfect again. Have you tried this?
Does the ambient sound work for you? For me and other users who reported the issue in Samsung forum it does not, meaning that it does not make any difference...
There was an update in the last few days. I've had much better luck since then.
Hey guys I have an issue with my galaxy Buds.
They are not loud enough and dont produce good sound quality for calls as well as for music, they also dont get along with bluetooth connectivity. Most of the time gets disconnected and produce uneven sound while they are connected to the device, people on the call do not hear my voice properly and clearly.
Have tried reset option but it does not work for me, face the same problems time and again.
Any solutions? Definitely not going for a replacement as the procedure will be lengthy as I got them in the pre order sale.

Have you tried adjusting the volume of your buds? Go into the wear app, select your buds (my app defaults to my Gear S3), and go into touch pad. Change it to volumn up. By default they are set to like 1/2 the volumn they are capable of.

don't update them, I seem to think the update bricked my pair so now I just don't mess with updates..

My buds were shipped to me the day the phone launched. From the beginning they seemed low budget in every respect except sound quality. Sound wise they are solid mid tier Bluetooth buds. Like many I had spotty connectivity while pocketing the phone. I had the right bud with less battery life/capacity then the left. And now my bud are being sent in to Samsung since the case no longer tops the earbud off without being plugged in. Fully charged case, insert dead buds, 3 hours latter buds still 0%. Light inside case never turns on.
My right one stopped connecting :/
hey,
does anyone else have a battery drain on the f3 update? my right bud keeps draining my case and itself.
The case was fully charged I left it and after 24h the case was dead and the right bud is at 30%, while the left bud is at 100%.
I tried resetting, cleaning case and even adding papers on top of right bud(bad connection) but nothing helped.
I know my bud is charging for sure because the light recognizes it but it seems unable to fully go out when in case(The bud).
Anyone had the same issue? anything that can help? I really like the buds but this issue that came with the last update(I THINK) is really a downer
