good afternoon, I want to unlock the bootloader of my chinese x2. I managed to get into fastboot by using the in depth app but when I connect my phone (in fastboot)to my pc it is not found by adb devices. I installed 15 sec adb drivers, what am I doing wrong?.
Try different drivers. Search for "smart depot NG" on YouTube.. He has made a well detailed video for unlocking bootloader with all required commands and download links.
Enter fastboot then connect the phone to your pc with cable after that you need to search for fastboot drivers from device manager its easy to find it's labeled as unknown device search online drivers and you're good to go.
thanks for the replys, I will try them later and keep you guys informed!.
unknownwolf his solution did the trick, but I had a lot of help from smart depot tutorial after that, my device is now running lineageos so no more chinese bloatware!. Thank you guys for the help!!!!.

First I must say, I searched all over the internet for answer to this problem. None of the topics I read had matched my problem.
I want to unlock my bootloader so I can flash custom recovery and get root access.
When I want to access the bootloader ("adb reboot bootloader"), in my phone all goes fine (I see on my phone the Fastboot instructions, etc). The problem is in my computer that fastboot won't recognise my phone anymore. When I want to get the device-id, fastboot is stuck on "waiting for all devices". When I want to see the list of devices, ("fastboot devices"), I get nothing, wether my phone is on bootloader mode or not.
I installed all the LG drivers, including the ADB one. I am in USB debugging mode, and I disabled OEM protection.
Android version is Lollipop.
I need help on this matter, thanks in advance.

I know mine can be unlocked. I actually can get to the bootloader via ADB. The problem is that fastboot won't recognise my phone afterwards. (I believe it's the european version of the H815 model, and according to one-click-root app, my phone can be safely rooted. Also my Lollipop version is 5.1.)
There are other few issues also:
Fastboot won't recognise my phone, even if the phone is not in bootloader mode.
Windows will recognise all of the LG related drivers including the ADB related driver, while the phone is powered on normally.
However, it fails to do so, in bootloader mode. I see non working driver in Windows 7 Device Manager, under "Other Devices" by the name "Android" with yellow exclamation mark. Nothing else.
Still looking for advice...

I have the same problem, adb detects my phone but fastboot does not. Same Phone btw
Still no solution until now ? I have the same problems
My device is H815
Hi !
I have had this problem too...solved with strong battle to understand myself...
My solution : when you have installed driver ,when your phone go to fastboot mode and the pc don't want to reconize the phone : on the pc on windows go to harware manager (config panel) and you can see in theory "android" with a "?" ==> you have to install manually the driver by searching somewhere on the harware list "android adb interface " (i don't remember where it is) ==> your phone wil be reconized ! And you will have the 2 lines of ID on the adb comand interface....and follow the tutorial...
I have read hundreds of issues with driver problems when it comes to windows.
Please try Linux instead. There are live distributions like Ubuntu available. Install it on USB stick and start from there.
No driver issues anymore. Just works.
.

Well there are hundreds of guides out there just use google...
adb and fastboot working the same way under Linux so there is no need to have a specific guide for linux.
I haven't tested that guide here but it looks very good as a starting point:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44739402&postcount=1
As said there are other maybe better guides but Google will tell you.
.
@steadfasterX thank for your link ,it's useful for people who have problem and read this thread
It's not for me .... i have my bootliader unlocked ,twrp...( and this fabulous Imperium MM rom !!!! )
Hello team,
I've been trying to unlock the bootloader of my device for the last couple of days. I have tried installing the drivers from LG suite, couple of drivers from the forum and google as well.
When i try to type in the command line oem device-ID i get "waiting for device"
According to the internet this is an issue with the drivers.
Can anyone suggest suitable ADB drivers ?

Ok... Since I have no intention to root until Huawei pushes the Oreo and Facial Recognition updates, I have kept USB Debugging "OFF" and set Select USB Configuration to: Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)
Then, I attempted to do what you are trying to do... and it worked perfectly..
So.. Do This:
Step 1 Click on your windows icon and in the search bar type "CMD"
Step 2 Set USB Configuration to MTP.
Step 3 Again I had Debugging off.. you can try it with it on if you like.. either way turn off your device.
Step 4 Hold down the Vol-Down button while plugging your device into your USB cable connected to your computer.
Step 5 This will turn on your device and put you in Fastboot Mode.
Step 6 Now go to your ADB Command Line and type "fastboot devices"
You'll see it.....
So I want to root my new phone but my phone won't be recognized with my windows 10 laptop when doing the adb 'partnership' with phone plugged in via usb. I unlocked oem on phone as well as allow usb debugging. I'm following instructions from
a google search of rooting oneplus5t on oreo I believe its from the***********dotcom.I've never rooted a phone successfully as the last time I tried was a galaxy s7 edge in which I found out it was a clone from someone on here lol.
I looked around but can't seem to get past the part of simply entering "adb devices" in the command after installing android sdk tools. Any help, tips, pointers, advice would be much appreciated! Thanks and have a great day!
Make sure that the drivers are installed properly from the SDK. Installing the SDK is not enough. Look in device manager and look for a yellow symbol with exclamation mark next to any Android device. Right click and get to select driver and point to "Google usb driver" that you extracted from the SDK then select either bootloader or ADB driver depending on what mode your phone is in when doing the above. It should then work. Sorry if that is not clear I am doing it from memory and I am not at my computer. Good luck!

Try "fastboot devices" instead that will tell you of it's correct or not too

Did you enable ADB debugging in Developer Options yet?
That must be done when plugging phone into your computer while the phone is booted up.
I've found a few posts on other sites with no solutions yet. Hopefully I'm not being a pain and asking an already answered question elsewhere.
I have the amazon version of the Moto G6 Play, and I've been trying to unlock the bootloader. The problem is that motorola's device manager doesn't seem to install the necessary drives for the PC to recognize the phone is connected via usb, and frankly, Motorola's customer service hasn't helped in the slightest.
I'm running Windows 10, fully updated to the latest release, and my G6 is running android 8.0.0.0. I've unlocked the developer options, allowed OEM unlock, USB debugging, and changed the USB connection settings from "charging" to "MTP." I've installed the latest Motorola Device Manager, but I continue to see that the phone is listed as an unknown USB device from my device manager. I've tried manually updating the drivers both by searching the install folder for the MDM, as well as the Windows System 32 folder. I've also tried using the troubleshooter to find drivers online with no luck. When I run abd from the command console, it lists no connected devices and trying to run any commands fails to yield any response on either the phone or the console. I feel like there's something obvious that I must have missed, but for the life of me I can't figure out what.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Use this. https://support.motorola.com/us/en/solution/MS88481
Also, make sure to restart your PC after you install them.
my pc did not recognize it in fastboot mode, after trying other cpus ... the solution was to do a factory reset, and go! the adb fastboot already recognized it ... I hope it works for you
