Hi.
I have the latest leedroid rom with the latest radio.
I have an unlimited cellular internet that works great on the cell phone itself.
When I try to use it as a hotspot I can only connect to Gmail from my computer. All the other sites show me a http denial message.
I read somewhere else in the forums that someone had a similar problem so he flashed the rom again but without any of the apps. I did the same and it worked like a charm. He then reinstalled the apps and it kept on working. I tried it and it stopped.
Before I try the very annoying attempt of uninstalling app by app until it starts working, I'd like to ask if anyone knows of some apps that cause this problem.
I was thinking of things like the AVG or viber/whatsapp. Meaning apps that keep working all the time in the background and use the internet.
Any ideas?
Thanks
fixed!
as it seems, some of the user data files stored in the titanium backup was the cause of it. I can't tell which one but when I flashed the ROM again after a full wipe and factory reset it worked great. I then restored only the data files and the problem repeated so I reflashed it with the wipe and factory reset and restored all the apps but non of the data files and it is working great!
Hi,
Apologies if this is redundant, but I haven't been able to find anything other than ad hoc networking should be working. . . .
However, for whatever reason it isn't on my system.
I've wiped everything, done a clean install and no luck.
Is anyone in the same boat/come up with a solution?
Thanks,
Chris
I installed the Lollipop update on the day that it went live, there are bugs and problems introduced in 5.0 but they are somehow tolerable, until today when even my home Wifi network's password doesn't get saved. This means each time I turn wifi off and on again, I have to manually type in the password. Is there any way to fix this?
No one else? Really?

No. sorry. I also updated to Lollipop on the "Live" Day. Am now on v20i and have never had problems with WiFi Passwords being saved.
After "Rooting", installing TBu and importing WiFi Data, all passwords are still there....
Edit....D855 16g...
I see. I'm on 20H now, at least it's not totally hopeless as there's a chance 20i fixes the issue.

You did Backup data to XML , Export (External SD or Dropbox or Whatever), then Restored data from XML (Wherever) in TBu? I have never had problems with this, even moving XML Data from Sammy GS5 to LG3. I have had no problem Extracting Data from Nandroid in TBU also....

Im using wifi connection manager app to backup my passwords but i lost the backup file 2-3 times and its a bad think that on 5.0 wifi passwords don't get synced....
Let's just hope that 20i fixes the issue.
Hello everyone!
I will get my OP3 next week and i would like transfer all my app data from my non rooted phone. I have tried helium in the past, but it didn't work properly and titanium will not work because i have no root.
Do you have any suggestions which software can do that?
Cheers
I have a MotoZ2, running Oreo 8.0. I deleted a thread through the Facebook Messenger app last week that I desperately need to recover. The phone is not rooted. No updates have been run to Messenger since before the deletion. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

You deleted it, then it's gone. The phone told the server to remove it and it removed it from your phone. There are data recovery apps, but I have not tried them on Android (they should need root access as well). Only option is to see if somehow Facebook has a copy left on their server. Depending on how shady they are, you might be able to recover it that way.
Edit: data recovery will only recover bits deleted that haven't been written over with new data. With encryption on this phone, it will have to most likely be done on the phone as the data will still be encrypted. I never tried to recover data that was deleted from an encrypted drive, so I don't know if it will work.
