examine log recovery - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello friends, I need your help, I have made a physical acquisition of a SAMSUNG GALAXY S10 + phone, and I need to analyze the recovery log. Does anyone know what folder it is in or if there is any kind of documentation?
I need to examine it to be able to analyze who and when I did the factory reset since it was done through the google or samung account.

[Q] How to unlock without data or usb debugging on?

Hey guys,
First off, I don't have any idea where to post this as the phone I'm working with isn't on the forums, so I thought it would be more appropriate here. Please move it into the correct place if there is one. Thank you.
So I'm a new comer of course and I was browsing the internet for solutions to my friends phone issue and I came across this forum. From what I can tell this is a really intellectual environment and therefore was inclined to make an account to see if anyone can help me out with my issue.
The problem(s):
Currently my friend's HTC Wildfire S (T-Mobile) is locked out.
He had tried too many times to unlock it via the pattern and now has to enter in his google email credentials to unlock his phone.
Right now the wifi or data is not on for the phone
Failed solution 1: I tried to call him and have him answer the phone. I then tried to pull the notification tab down in order to enable data or something but that didn't work. I had read on another website that it could work.
Failed solution 2: I downloaded ADB and tried to access the settings.db file in order to edit it via an add on on mozilla firefox. After going to the path where ADB was located i typed in "dir", where settings.db usually is it wasn't there. I then concluded that he probably didn't have USB debugging enabled as that is a strange setting to turn on for no reason.
And now here I am...
He doesn't want a factory reset because he wants his texts, I can only guess that he has important nudes he wishes to save, haha.
Anyway, I'm not too educated in computer or coding language, so if you have any ideas please provide me with some extra details for my noobie status.
As a result of this tinkering, I'm kind of interested in learning how to code and messing around with my Samsung Galaxy S2, so if you also have any pointers for that I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks for your help in advance,
I look forward to engaging in the community and trying to contribute

Remove Phone Setup - During Phone boot

Hi All,
Can anyone help me figure out the APK files to be removed in order to bypass the phone setup when I boot the phone for First time.
I do not want to enter the First Name, Last Name or add WiFi during the first boot of the phone.
In few Samsung phones I found there is a APK file called 'GooglePartnerSetup.apk' but I am not sure what it does. (Not sure if it's relevant in Nexus)
Any help will be highly appreciated.
On the WELCOME screen, try clicking the screen corners in this order: left-up, right-up, right-down, left-down. This should skip the setup process.
Or, if you insist on removing that APK altogether, look for a file named "SetupWizard.apk".

[Q] Urgent simple question regarding S8500

Hey,
I've got a friend that has a s8500, the screen broke and i changed it. By the time i gave it back to him he had forgotten the Phone Securty code he had setup. The only thing i want is a way to recover the data before the reset.
Is there any way to achieve that? Or is there any way to reset/get the code ? I've been looking into the FLOCK thread but im afraid it will lose the data after the flash.
We also contacted Samsung and they said the only way to reset that code is with a hard reset which will make the data being lost.
Can i in recovery/download mode get the data? The most important thing is the contacts/photos.
Thanks in advance.

No idea about the FLOCK thing, i think it's to unlock SIM-LOCK or freeze and not the phone.
The photo are recoverable with android, not sure about the contact (i don't know where they are stored in bada).
In short, you need to boot an android recovery (see the android dev on bada section, i can also provide more detailled instructions), mount bada user partition and then copy paste what's inside on SDcard.
It need an sdcard, a SD fota, multiloader an android kernel and adb (android debug bridge, free software anywhere on the net).
No data will be lost if you do it (if you are on bada 2, else i don't know, and phone will still be locked).

Thank you, i had forgotten that i could just boot a costum recovery. Need to do some research on the contacts location tho since it's really the most important data i need to recover. Thank you again.

Some help needed.

Hey guys,
I've been given a Huawei Watch (1) because the owner ****ed it up somehow (he was saying something about updating Wear OS) and then he decided to be "clever" and deleted all partitions and everything from the watch itself.
I get the watch recognized (under Linux like a Qcom 9008 device), i've got everything I need to bring it back to life except the partition tables and so on.
Is there a possibility for someone to extract the partition tables/eMMC from his and upload it somewhere?
Thanks in advance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 in bootloop

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 in bootloop.
Hey there.
I have a tablet - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. There was quite a lot of data on it, but it worked fine. Recently, it turned off without any reason and after that it could no longer turn on. Now the tablet has an eternal reboot and it does not boot into the system.
Error in recovery:
! ! Caution! !
Not enough storage resource.
Perform "lacking storage booting".
The recovery says that I can try to boot my tablet using lacking storage booting. But for some reason, I don’t see such an item in the recovery (please look at the photo: https://postimg.cc/XBFrycqF/c9784539). Maybe I should try to install different version of official Samsung firmware or different version of official Samsung recovery that will have function of lacking storage booting?
I understand that this issue is because my tablet hasn't enough memory and something needs to be removed from memory to allow the tablet to boot.
I know that there is variant to delete all data from the tablet - use factory reset through recovery, but I cannot do this because there is important data stored on the tablet.
Please help me what can I do in this situation and how can I enter to the file system for delete something from the tablet? Maybe can I delete some unnecessary files by connecting the tablet to a computer? When I tried to connect the tablet to the computer, nothing happened - the computer does not see the tablet.
I have tried to boot in safe mode but it not helped me
Also I had an idea - install custom recovery TWRP, but as I understand - Samsung Security Folder will be deleted after that due to Knox protection triggering. It also no good for me because I store my important data in Samsung Security Folder. I have tried severely times wipe cache partition, but it's not working for me.
Help me please.
Thanks a lot.
By the way, I found information on the Internet about programs: system recovery program - ReiBoot-Android System Repair from Tenorshare and data recovery program - Tenorshare - UltData for Android.
Has anyone heard of these programs?
Maybe they will help in my case?
I thought about solving this problem and it seems to me that first of all it is worth paying attention to the following:
Samsung recommends to use the lacking storage booting mode in recovery - maybe it's worth to try to use it?
But the problem is that I could not find such a function in my recovery. Maybe it's hidden somewhere?
I think that probably there is no such function in my recovery. If it's true, it's might be worth to try to install different version of the official recovery by Samsung, which will have a boot function - "lacking storage booting".
In result the Knox counter will not work and all data will not have to be deleted from the tablet.
