On my car android head unit i changed boot animation in wrong resolution and now its stuck in there. Couldn't load the system any further. I tried to bring recovery mode. It has reset and power button only. Tried some of the key combinations but it didn't work. Pressing power + reset for 5 sec and releasing reset while still pressing power button for next 5 sec, it went into different screen for short time showing,
'Start update and End update' screen
then stuck back to same boot animation screen.
I tried adb also but usb debugging is turned off so couldn't succeed. I changed the boot animation from built in system software.
I have copied this bootanimation.zip file on internal storage, not in any folder. So if i could delete this file with factory reset or anyhow it might solve the problem.
Please any suggestions or solution will be really helpful.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus in Boot Loop after "Unfortunately system UI has stopped" error
Hi,
Out of the blue, after dragging about an app folder on my home screen, my system froze and this message popped up:
"Unfortunately system UI has stopped"
I had the option to report or press OK. I clicked OK. The phone operated for a few seconds then the error came back up, this time I couldn't click anything.
At this point I pulled the battery and replaced it. The phone booted up and i opened facebook, then the same error popped up again. Just like before I could click OK the first time but not the second time.
I pulled the battery again and it booted again, but the message soon popped up once more. (after a few seconds) This time however, the phone rebooted itself and after that, it rebooted again.
Eventually it would not go beyond the boot animation.
At this point I was panicking. I attempted rebooting in to Odin mode by holding down the volume down button and power button, but it just keeps telling me to wait or press power to start.
After that I tried fastboot and a factory reset from recovery but that didn't have any effect.
The battery is dead now so I have the phone charging. Any suggestions on where to go from here. If I turn it on it will just loop the boot animation with all the colours over and over.
Thanks!
The factory reset seems to have actually worked. It was taking a while to boot when the battery died right after I did it but when I booted it up this morning after charging it booted normally.
To factory reset boot in to fastboot by pushing and holding volume up + volume down + power then select "Recovery mode" when the image of the android robot shows up press power + volume up to get the menu and select factory reset from there.
Thanks for posting the solution. This was the first hit from a google search for "Galaxy nexus boot loop" and it was just what I needed.
My boot loop seemed to have started for a different reason. Apparently, moving away from a wifi access point while you're still connected causes the boot loop as well. I owned my nexus for about 1 hour before the boot loop happened, so I suppose I was relatively lucky.

I guess the SD internal is formatted when this happends and you factory reset? I lost all images and sms, damnit
Maybe this works without factory reset

Two people say that multiple reboots solved the problem. See http://j.mp/Vgwamr
stuck on t-mobile logo
I can neither get into recovery or boot the LG D851.
I can get into download mode by connecting to computer and pressing power up button. however ADB cannot detect the device even-tough device manager shows it with error code 10.
My phone was working fine on rooted lollipop except that i had problem with deleting files so i went into recovery and deleted some files related to Logitech harmony app that wasn't working. In also fixed permissions.
Now the phone seems soft bricked and stuck on t-mobile screen all time. I can get to hard reset screen but i dont want to do that
any suggestions?
solved
did Master reset with hardware keys. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11920
Press and hold the Power and Volume down keys on the back of the device.
When the LG logo appears, release and then re-hold the Power key while continuing to hold the Volume down key.
The Factory data reset screen appears. do the factory reset ant it takes you to the TWRP recovery.
i connected to PC and copied the data from phone to PC
then restored the previous backed up image from TWRP
and the phone is working again
**the phone was stuck in the bootloop because of fix permissions done from TWRP***
Today I made the switch to ART on my week-old LG G3, but when it rebooted the phone became stuck on the optimizing apps screen somewhere on 58 out of 200. I was able to reboot the phone multiple times by removing the battery until I got to 1 of 1, which I'm currently stuck on. I can factory reset but would rather not, of course. Don't have a back up, unfortunately.
I've tried these solutions so far:
Recovery mode (was intending to clear the cache, but it turns out LG stock recovery only allows you to factory reset)
Download mode. Does not seem to work; I held down the volume up button and plugged in a USB but it just shows me how much battery is in the phone.
Safe mode; does not seem to work. I pressed the power on button and then held down only the volume down button at the splash screen, but that just takes me back to the optimizing screen.
Any more solutions? Was I doing something wrong with download or safe mode? Thanks for the help guys!
I recently upgraded to the eonon GA6151 and was trying to flash update_RK3188_1024x600.img " booroondook RK3188" , well I renamed the file wrong to dupate.img instead of update.img I started flashing it and it was too late before I realized. Now the unit will not boot up or go to recovery. I can reset it and see the buttons flash like it wants to go to recovery but nothing ever appears on the screen. Is there a way to adb into this unit? Can I put files on a card and have it auto install them? Any help would be appreciated.
FIXED IT!!
I fixed it using this method. I realized after the fact that this new unit is MTCD not MTCB.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67184851&postcount=50
I then had the error
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67309331&postcount=116
Which I fixed doing this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67598154&postcount=319
I used the dupdate from here.
http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/MTCD Custom ROMS - NOT FOR MTC-/RK3188/2017.02.21/
I loaded it onto the sdcard and the usb drive , the sdcard was created using upgrade disk tool and has to be 16gb or smaller fat 32. The usb drive just had a copy of the dupate.img file on the root of it.
To get into recovery on this unit do the below. http://www.eonon.com/Android-Car-GPS/Vehicle-Specific-GPS/GA6151.html
Press and Hold HOME AND POWER buttons
Press RESET while still holding HOME AND POWER
Let go of HOME AND POWER and then press HOME AND POWER down again and hold until the lights flash 3 times " is about 10 seconds to hold them "
Now Let Go of the HOME button then the POWER button the press the POWER button once "do not hold" and wait for it to boot into recovery.
This is the only method I found that reliably will get you into recovery. Make sure you use the GPS slot for any sd stuff you need to do in recovery.
Did you have to take the unit out of the car? I’ve made the bootable SD but nothing is happening.

Hey all,
Hope you've been keeping safe and well.
So I was flashing the new PixelExperience ROM - and seems like I made an error somewhere along the way.
I'm looking to return to stock, and then give the process another shot - but at the moment my phone is stuck in a bootloop.
The bootloader is unlocked - and the boot goes through the following screens before rebooting:
1. Samsung Logo
2. "The phone's bootloader in unlocked....Press power key to continue"
3. Samsung Note 10+ Logo Screen.
I'm trying my best to try and boot into either download or recovery mode, but to no avail - it just restarts the bootloop on each combination I've tried.
Any solutions on how to get moving with this?
Thanks!

Timing will be the key. To help out, boot up as you have been, but as early into the boot cycle press and hold the Vol - and power button for up to 5 seconds (until phone manually shuts off) [it will actually reboot the phone])), then the instant it powers off and begins to power back on (try a few times to get used to the timing) press and hold the key combination for recovery or download mode. In my experience whatever combination you go with while booting, the power button only needs to be held for the first 5 seconds or so of the combo button press/hold.
The other button, Vol+ or Vol- should constantly be held until desired mode begins to load.

Thanks for your quick and detailed reply man, appreciate it.
Still trying, new cords, ports, the whole buffet. Will keep at it.
Major flag though - my PC doesn't recognise the phone anymore, checked the USB ports in Device Management and nothing comes up. I've tried different cords and ports to no avail.
I have a feeling that because the device doesn't think it's not plugged in - it doesn't boot into recovery.
Just another detail - the flash goes on just before the reboot. Does this signify anything?

I'm not familiar with any significance the flash may point to. You've probably already done this.....but be sure to reboot PC....
Have you tried booting to recovery yet?
