Hi everybody. As you know that there is no dedicated solutions or methods page on xda for these devices that is still active. So I decided to combine those both and make a page so that people can get solutions for their devices. So if you want to ask me a question just reply to this thread with your question and I will try my best to solve your problem
Thanks!

I think each ROM should have its own section not just a thread. I find searching through 1000+ posts for one bit of info very hard work, and I bet others do as well. Search is good but unless you know the exact wording its not always the best option.
With each ROM having its own section each question will be in its own thread, making finding the answers to repeated questions much easier.
What say the masses ?
Thanks
interesting idea...but think not possible or..?
You know requesting new sections every day would be pain in the arse for moderators?
It's good as it is now.
When you have one sub-forum for each rom then you have a loooooooong list ... and thats not better then so
Questions shouldnt be in dev section - so there are only dev threads -> done
Question about an spezific rom can be posted in the rom thread.
I think this can be achieved through "Related Threads" (With some modification). So that once u open a thread from one developer all this threads in the same section apear at the bottom.
Just a wild idea
Maybe the mods can make the most useful/best roms sticky...
agree! very hard and sometimes slow to search through 10,000 posts .. it 's often a nightmare to follow the thread

even with search button.. e.g. you search for an issue on battery.. you see someone who asked the question... then i must scroll down(or move next page) to search if someone actually replied and gave a solution to the issue (assuming a there's a reply or solution to the question)... in between you have tons of other unrelated questions/replies/opinions/thanks etc... lol i think you know what i mean

The masses say no. We like asking the same questions all over again, or even better opening the new threads for every query we have.
Your idea is good but what you propose can't be done. It can't be avoided as it would be a forum utopia sort off. Google is more powerful than forum search. Good info doesn't necessarily have to come from XDA.
And for starters this thread is in totally wrong section.
How about a section for roms with sense and a section for roms without sense? or maybe section for ports from other devices and a section for "almost" stock roms. Mabye 2 - 4 subcategories would be a good idea. Another good idea would be that the cooks would use a specific format for the thread names like "Update/Date - Rom name - Version - Cook".
just my two cents in some bad english ^^

Moving to Q&A
Hi,
I like what the XDA Devs bring to us "users" in terms of modding phones, instructions, assistance and so on. I am wondering though how many of these devs actually get a chance to go through their own thread (rom post, suggestion, hack or whichever) and update their main post with the most common hurdles that users within the forum have posted and inquired about?
Not many would be my guess and I don't blame them.
I have also seen the comments of "search this thread" way too many times and have been caught out myself too.
My suggestion is that people with the issue contribute back to the thread if any answer helped them to the solution, or if they come up with the solution themselves.
To improve this concept further, keywords for questions and answers within the thread should be compulsory.
A list of possible keywords would be
[Q] Question
[A] Answer
Bug
Solution
and used in conjunction with each other. If you have both the bug and solutions, you'd post - yes i know what that looks like!
Benefits to this system would be when searching a thread you could filter the entire thread with [Q] and bits and then troll for the answers.
This is too long and will most likely be ignored, but if you've read this far, please let me know what you think.
Hi guys. I'm here for a while now and noticed a very common problem: the same questions asked over and over again. Maybe a solution or a idea it's to the OP can pin useful posts to be on the first ones. That way it's easier for everyone to see relevant information. Maybe this thread can start a brainstorming about this.

That would help to tie in with good organization of the first post(s). Sometimes the OP doesn't add a post or two right away and someone gets in there, in that case just PM one of your forum mods and ask them to add a second or third post in for you and they can help with that.
Hello guys, I have finally flashed this amazing 4.4 KitKat rom on my s4, thanks to albinoman887 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520972 . I have problems with emoji support though. I only see several emoji's.
Is there any way to fix this ??

WIFI on 4.4 issues
Hi Guys,
I just flashed the 4.4 Kitkat for my GS4 from [ROM] CyanogenMod 11.0 | Android 4.4 KitKat [UNOFFICIAL] [Nov-11]. Everything work well except for my wifi. It finds my wifi but it keeps on failing to connect to it. Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Guys 4.4 is really new and really buggy. I wouldn't even recommend it as a daily driver as of now. I suggest you go back to 4.3 and edit until 4.4 had been worked on a bit more

There are also multiple threads on CM11 right now. No need for a new one asking questions that are answered repeatedly in the others.
I searched a a lot about this but couldnt find an answer anywhere. This is the reason I created the topic about this.
Otaku, I know mate but Im just trying some stuff out. I dont like to stop at 1 rom and use it for a long time, it's just way too boring.

I'm gonna go ahad and call shenanigans on your claim that you searched a lot.
The main thread for CM11 int eh development forum has roughly 9 bagillion posts about emoji issues with the ROM. Any search for "CM11 emoji" would have shown you countless posts from that thread alone on this topic.
When you signed up here you agreed to search before posting. Please uphold that promise.
Here is a great video you should watch to help you become a more valued member of this community.

Rules are meant to be broken.
Thank you for the answer to my question. I will search for it in the main thread, I also needed some posts to get the permission in order to post in android development board ....

and your just asking for a spanking from one of the mods with that line of thinking. Rules are there for a reason, follow them or dont post on the site.
