[Q] Lollipop dialer hides in notifications for outgoing calls

Hi! Since my Note 4's Lollipop update last week, I am very frustrated with what the dialer does during outgoing calls (not using HD calling right now). After I make the call, the call screen disappears into the notification bar and I have to swipe down (being careful not to touch the sensors that make the screen go black) to get the dialer back on the screen. This is really a pain when I need the keypad. I really just want the dial screen to stay on the screen full size. I can't seem to figure out how to do this after much Googling (maybe because people don't think it's a problem...but it's a very annoying problem for me!). Any ideas on how to fix this? Many thanks! Amanda PS...Incoming calls are fine...dial screen stays full size on the screen.
Welcome to the lollipop group! I am using sip accounts and when I dial, the dialer asks me whether I want to use my phone operator or one of the sip accounts. After I choose I have no dialer left.
If i swipe back to the dialer tab in the phone application, I can see 3 options:
x use touch tone keypad
< return to call screen
+ add call
and if i select "return to call screen" i can see again the dialog that asks me which phone to use for the outgoing call (while i'm still calling or even talking with the other side)
Google don't care about this, they're probably looking to phase out "internet calling" since they have their own competing product now (hangouts).

I'm having exactly the same issue on a Note 3 now with Lollipop.

Lineage,RR rom,custom rom any

When the screen of my One plus 3 is locked and someone calls me, I can hear the phone ringing and see that there is an incoming call, but when i picked up from pocket suddenly i touched home button/Fingerprint button , at this same tim caller ID or Caller user interface invisible under the lockscreen, then i have to first unlock my phone then i can pick up incoming call. How can fixed please solve this problem please.but this problem didn't happend in stock rom Oxygen OS or Open beta.
I use Google Dialer and the issue doesn't occur.
The OnePlus Dialer app has a few issues.
Try using Google Dialer (flash OpenGApps via TWRP).
Go to settings, search phone app and set the default phone app to the google dialer

No more call blocking?

I just got my A3 2017 with latest Android 7.0 software. This is my fourth Samsung device, and I'm still shocked that is no more BLOCKIN FEATURE on one touch button from status bar drop-down menu! Tell me I'm wrong... this is unacceptable for that kind of device. How to setup my phone to block ALL incoming calls except My Favorites, beside entering all my 300+ contact in blocking list?!?
Another annoying thing is no led notifications... c'mon Samsung.... :crying:

Help please regarding contact notes on android

Hi I recently upgraded my phone to a Huawei Mate 20x, most of my business contacts (using google acc) have a 'note field' attached to them, a suppliers acc number for example, or the type of items they supply, on my old phone, the Mate 10 Pro, Android version 8, this note would be displayed on the in call screen under the telephone number you are calling, so if I need that information I just glance at the screen, very easy, now for some reason on the Mate 20x with Android version 9 it does not show the note on the on the in call screen?
Was this feature taken away on android version 9?
During the call, press home and then bring down the notifications panel. The call notification should display all your notes for that contact.

God how on earth did you find that feature!? Thanks it's not perfect but a lot better than having to search through your contact list while on the call.

Question (Solved) Is individual call history possible with the google dialer? (Poco F3 Global)

Is there a way to enable a call history for separate numbers/contacts with the Google dialer? I miss this option from the Xiaomi dialer even more than call recording. Having to wade through months of logs in call history seems unnecessary. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I have very basic requirements and probably won’t move from stock just for this option as I’m happy with everything else. Just wondered if there was a simple workaround that doesn’t involve a ROM change.
When you tap on a history, does it expand and show 3 buttons: Add contact, Message, History?

lol I'm stupid, I was sure tapping on the number/name just returned the call. Thanks very much
