Display quality. - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

Does this display has a washed out look in the 'vivid' and 'dcip3' mode? And hows the punchiness in the 'wide Gamut " mode?

[Q] Camera Black border either side

Hey everyone
Just a quick question regarding the camera app on the note 2.
My phone is standard, not rooted or anything loaded.
I have noticed that when I load the camera app and take a picture in landscape mode (Phone held sideways)
the picture does not display on the full screen. It has a black border either side..
Why would I loose a 3rd of my screen to black borders.
Thanks in Advance

I suppose you have set maximum resolution, & then it won't fill the screen (because of different aspect ratio).
The simple "solution" is to reduce the resolution one notch, and voilá; the picture WILL fit the screen....
If you don't mind shooting pictures at a lower resolution, that is....
There are 3 wide resolution to choose from to consume all the display. 6mpix is the highest

Cheers everyone..
Dropped down to 6m and its all good now
If you shoot at 8mp it's in a 4:3 aspect ratio so the sides of the screen are black because there's no data there. If it filled those sides then you wouldn't see what you were shooting at the top and bottom as the top and bottom of the preview would be cut off. If it really bothers you you can shoot at 6mp as others have said which is a 16:9 aspect ratio and won't have the black borders. There shouldn't be any difference in quality and you can always crop your 8mp photos into a 16:9 resolution afterwards if you want to use 8mp.

Display color and quality

How do you guys feel about the quality and color of the screen? This is the first phone that I've owned that I've had to keep the display mode on "vibrant" and not on standard. Standard mode on this phone looks so bland and washed out. There is no way it displays "realistic" color. Vibrant looks more normal to me.
It's awesome.
And keep your display mode in vibrant only tp get better quality.?

Xiaomi mi6 optical zoom is actually digital?

Hello guys,
Ive been playing with my mi6 for a while and noticed a strange thing. Photos captured at 2x look actually more like a digital zoom than an optical, even though the resolution is the same as 1x. When you actually cover the left camera lens, the picture is still normal. No matter if you choose 1x or 2x.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
You can explicitly set the lens on manual mode.

Thanks, you da real MVP!
Where can you change that? Still on MIUI8.
it does that in low light shots, cause the tele lens is so bad at low light that it prefers to shot in main camera and zoom it in.
sources : miui forum? red it when i bought it

That's right, the telephoto sensor has 1.00µm pixel size at f/2.6 aperture, while the main sensor has 1.25µm pixel size at f/1.8 aperture.

Samsung M51 Blacks having bandings

In my M51 while watching even any high res videos especially in some dark scenes blacks are having terrible bandings and artifacts, Is this a problem of AMOLED displays
Been using a handful of phone by now with AMOLED or OLED displays and I noticed this only if I my screen brightness was set like to really low to minimum value, bringing up the brightness a bit always solved the problem for me.

ScreenShot photo quality

Dear friends,
The photo quality appears to be very poor when I take ScreenShot. I used note5, p20 pro, note8 pro and they have no problem. They saved quality form. But when I take a Note10 + snip, the photos look blurry. How can I improve the quality of the ScreenShot photo?
