I've installed the beta build on my One Plus 7t but now I want to revert back but the device doesn't allow downgrading back to stable builds, can anyone please explain the official method to do so without harming the warranty of device?

I am new to Mi 6 and I am thinking to root. But how frequent are the updates? I want to know so that I can decide whether to root now or not. And can you get updates after root?
One extra question is that you use odin for samsung phones to flash stock firmware, what you use for mi 6?
Thanks
Depends on ROM you are using. If it's DEV rom - updates are every week (thursday/friday). If it's global - updates are irregular, made in long intervals of time.
I, personally, am using xiaomi.eu dev rom (MIUI 9.1 v. 7.11.16), and I have rooted Mi6. After update you are losing root and you'll need to root again. So, answering your question - you can update safely even if you have root, but you will need to root again.
When I was switching from stock global to xiaomi.eu rom, I simply unlocked bootloader (if you have agreement from Xiaomi), flashed twrp, then flashed rom from zip. After that you have OTA updates so it's simple and easy.
If you want stock rom - I suggest using MiFlash tool.

Hey thanks man. So even with root and twrp I will get OTA updates? I am on global rom
Sure, you have to unlock the bootloader of your phone before you can install TWRP and root.
Then you can install whatever you want... MIUI Weekly ROMs, Stable ROMs, custom ROMs .. etc.

Hey, a friend of mine recently got his Redmi Note 5 Pro and I was wondering if I can root his phone so that I can install google camera but without loosing OTAs. If I root the device, will he be able to receive OTAs normally? He is on latest miui 9.6 stable.
Thanks in advance.

If you simply want to test gcam than u can follow this guide. i have tested it and it works on both miui 9 and 10. and doesnt break OTA. i even got updated from global 9.6 stable to 10 stable while having this and all was ok. its the safest way u can use gcam without root or anything.

Thanks. I wil give this a try since I'm trying to avoid rooting or flashing twrp.
can I switch from global miui to beta without having problems with anti roll back?
twrp and custom roms should be in accordance with the status of the anti-roll back system?
thanks

You can just make sure your flashing an ARB enabled ROM and later than version your using. Custom ROMs are not affected by this so dont worry just get the right recovery like orange fox
Thanks for asking me that question.
Hello experts,
I wanna downgrade from miui 11 v11.0.1.0 (QEDMIXM) to Miui11 V 11.0.7.0 (PEDMIXM), is it safe to downgrade without hardbrick? Secondly, I checked, both roms have ARB level 4 protection. Need your expert advise before going to downgrade.
Thanks in advance
Hello. I have been using Xiaomi.eu 20.6.18 based on MIUI 12.1
In a few days I think that they will release MIUI 12.0 based stable release but my phone has ARP so I think that downgrading will brick it, don't it?
Anyway, this weekly ROM is working well at the moment but I would like to use the stable version someday. I have some doubts so I will put numbers in them:
1. Can I go back to MIUI 12.0 based ROM while using MIUI 12.1 based ROM or not? without triggering anti-rollback
2. Can I switch to Pixel Experience (for example) which is using Android 10? It is a newer version of Android but I don't know how MIUI ARP handles it
3. If the point 2 answer is 'yes', I suppose that ARP is gone (at least Xiaomi's one) so, can I install Xiaomi.eu MIUI 12.0 from Pixel Experience? (I will be downgrading I know)
Thanks all of you for your future answers, and sorry for the number of questions. Any doubt about my explanation or something just ask
Arb only matters if u go back to very old version of miui ie, 9 and some version of miui 10....it doesn't matter with custom ROMs also...u can also check ur current arb status
No arb was implemented with miui 9.5.19 (global stable), so u can go till this version without bricking ur phone.
As u r on latest beta u have an index value of 4.

I'm currently on stable miui 11.0.3.0
I want to try xiaomi.eu miui 12 20.6.18 (latest build). But if I didn't like it,then can i return to stable miui 11 without bricking my device?
As i understand from previous comments,I won't brick my device as long as i'm returning to version 9.5.19 or after that.
But still i would want to confirm this. Please answer this question.

Yes u can go easily.
I will recommend to go with fast boot method if u plan returning to miui 11
(I've used miui 12 20.6.18 eu build and successfully returned to miui 11 without bricking)

Yes u can use the recovery method for returning back to miui 11.
Why i was recommending the fast boot method?
Bcoz I've seen if u flash global miui after flashing china based/eu roms, u cannot change ur region to other country other than china. Obviously this can be fixed by editing build.prop or flash region fix but u will have to root in the 1st case.
But u can try recovery method brother.
Yes miui 12 is better than 11 bcoz of new privacy features, ios style control center, no miui optimization api.

Hi guys!
Just today, I updated my 7T [EU model] to the new, stable version of OxygenOS running on Android 12. However, I quickly realized that I much more prefer the old stable OxygenOS 11. Is there a way to downgrade to that version? I've tried scouting online, however, I only found downgrade links to Indian models.
Thanks very much!
Hi my friend!
Just check the official Oneplus forum (oneplus.net). There is a post OxygenOS 12 MP2 for Oneplus 7T/7TPRO that is pinned. There is a download link for all versions. Note that your cell phone will be erased!

Thanks a lot, worked 100%
I just upgraded from 11 to 12, and i loose my connection every hour. Only thing that can bring back my signal is switch the phone into flightmode and back.
So will revert back to 11 as you did.
One questoin did the roll back wipe the phone or was apps and other settings still on the phone?

Is it possible to keep root through the rollback if I patch the boot image with Magisk before rebooting?
Edit: Just downgraded and had to root again after the downgrade (patched boot.img)
I am in the same situation. Upgraded to Android 12 and I'm having so many problems. I too am now downgrading. And actually moving away from OnePlus. Too many problems. Gonna try Carl's Nothing phone.
Hey there, Is it the original thread on offi OP site is not available anymore.
Do You guys remember the steps and what was needed to do the downgrade by chance ?
Help appreciated.
