build.prop error while trying to flash Pixel Experience ROM - Redmi Note 8 Questions & Answers

Hi,
So I had the PixelPlusUI ROM installed before and wanted to give the Pixel Experience ROM a try because I've been having issues with my mobile network. While trying to flash the ROM, I get the error "file_getprop:failed to read /system_root/system/build.prop" "Updater process ended with ERROR:7". Could you please tell me how I can bypass this? Do I need to flash a stock build.props file? And if yes, can someone please share one with me? I did tweak my props using the magiskhidepropsconf module before this.

Let me start by saying I am newish to the game and caught a bad case of flashing all the time. I enjoy testing new roms and learning new stuff as I go along. I have no problems flashing all roms on my note 3 but I have found my match. Has anyone found a workaround to get the x-note rom running on there sm-n900t? I've read all posts about it, editing updater script, removed setup wizard and still no dice. heres link to rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301. Please anyone help me because this is one of those cases where you wont give up till you succeed at running the rom on your phone, Thanks in advance.

You did NONE of the steps. The Official xPosed doesn't work on Samsung Touchwiz, it's clearly spelled out in the Read-Only thread that xPosed will bootloop your brand of phone (and could hardbrick you). You need a special fork of xPosed. There are two forks that maybe are for you: Arter's is for Lollipop (5.0.x) and Wanam for Lollipop/Marshmallow (5.1.x and 6.0.x). Search XDA's "xPosed General" board for them; they are easily found, so I'll not be linking to them - searching in itself will give you much of the knowledge you seek, without you ever having to type a single post.
You need to read FULLY the proper threads and (this time for real) both follow and understand all of the steps. You have a phone brand that can and will brick and void warranty if you mess modifications up.
Second, this thread is specifically for a brand and phone that does not equal yours. In the future it's much better social etiquette to either start your own thread or post in the thread for the (correct) xPosed you choose (Wanam/Arter)
Great this work thank

Have you asked Google?

Newbie Question. Please Approved my post.

Hi everyone! I'm new with this things and I found out that this Forum seems to help me with my inquiries. I just flash my Asus Zenfone 2 yesterday to CM 13 ( nightly). I installed Pixel Master right away from the playstore and it seems not compatible with CM13. I found out that you here have a Download link for pixel master that would be better than the playstore's Pixel master. One of the instruction is to flash .zip using TWRP recovery, How do I do that thing? can you help me or give me a link of any tutorial to flash that thing? if so, thanks a lot!

How to port Oreo 8.1 ROMs?

I have a Moto Z Play and I want to port some ROMs from Redmi Note 4 which is having the same SoC. The problems I'm getting are:-
1. Device not booting after flashing rom, something is wrong with boot.img porting, there is no updated guide on how to port oreo boot.img, porting with other methods doesn't seem to work.
2. Brotli files can be extracted with a number of steps but the problem is with repacking, I didn't find any guide on how to do this. At last, I just kept the system.new.dat as it as and changed updater-script with the same name but it didn't work and I got "Error 7" in twrp all the time. Is there any way to get back to the conventional way of having a "system" folder in rom zip?
3. In all previous version of Android we need to replace some system files but I didn't find any help for oreo.
If anyone knows how to port roms for oreo please let me know. At some point, after trying too hard I thought it's better to compile one but that requires a fast internet and an 8 core system at least, porting is the only thing I can do using my laptop.

[HELP] Pixel Experience not updating

When I try to update the Pixel Experience ROM it says that a network problem occurred and i'm stuck with a February version since.
Already tried different networks and it just not downloading, is there a way to install the update manually?
I'm very noob at modifying android.
Check the Pixel Experience thread in ROMs section.

Even if you're a noob you aren't illiterate to use the internet. There is a search box in the top right corner or search in the Pixel Experience thread. Don't unnecessary create threads and wait for someone to help you. Help yourself!
