I made the mistake of purchasing a t-mobile oneplus 7t under the assumption that I could unlock it and use Boost mobile with the device. T-mobile says that I need to purchase their service for 40 days in order to unlock it. I've never rooted a phone before, and I'm a little intimidated by the tutorials that I've searched for as the one that I tried basically forced my to accept notifications on chrome. Can anyone please help me to root this phone so that I can use boost mobile, and use/explore everything that's root. Just a link to a reputable guide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi guys,
I'm an android app developer and I need a new phone. Well I've been struggling around what to get One X or GN. Hard decision hardware wise, easy decision software wise. In the end I decided to go with GN. I have a couple of questions for you, if you are kind to response.
1. It seems that in many stores in my country, phones have an problem: after a factory reset, the phone requests Sim Unlock number. The phones are sold as Unlocked. Does this mean that the phone has been unlocked with a number based on IMEI, then sold?
2. I need my warranty as my phone is used pretty intense. If I unlock bootloaders and install custom roms and kernels, is there a way to completely revert to stock just as I bought it, and send it for repair ?
Thank you.
1. I'm not sure, and wouldn't be the person to ask...I'm a CDMA guy.
2. Yep. Check Here. It's a well-written guide if you have fastboot set up (I assume you do). If you don't; check my sig for a tutorial on getting that running.
Hi all. I've checked everywhere to the best of my ability on these forums and elsewhere and can't find any way to unlocked the network lock on my Ace Plus gt-s7500. all the methods for other samsungs are ineffective, is this phone immune to unlocking?
Anyone have an update to this please?
Thanks .
I would like to know if anyone has an answer to this too. I have rooted the phone, installed busy box 1.20 in order to try and use the BML15 exploits (listed for other samsung phones) but none of them work with this phone. Unlocking firms want £20-50 in the UK
Hi guys, theres just a network for normally samsung galaxy ace.
(Watch here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204705 )
But i found a website where you can unlock your mobile Galaxy Ace Plus. I hope taht its the right one.
http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...om-T-Mobile-AT-amp-T-Vodafone-Rogers-Bell-etc
I've just bought a s7500 from ebay and found out it's locked to Virgin.
Could someone please help us find a way to unlock this phone? I can't find anything on google either.
It's been out for months, why is it that nobody has found a way to unlock it?
First step would be to get the Unlock Code for your Samsung Cell Phone
We can provide you the unlock code.
Click/Copy link to get it: Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500 Unlock Code
unlockphonenetwork.com (Put link in your adress)
How to enter the Unlock Code?
1. Switch ON your phone with a not Accepted SIM Card,
2. Phone will ask for "Network Password"
3. You can now enter the Unlock Code we send to you.
4. Your Samsung is now unlocked!
OR (if phone show "Insert Correct SIM Card")
1. Switch ON your phone with a not Accepted SIM Card,
2. Compose : #0111*CODE#
Your site doesn't even offer unlock codes for my carrier. It's on Virgin Mobile.
Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious that we're not looking to spend £40 on something that should be free. This is essentially a forum for phone hacking...
I'm only interested in finding a way to unlock the phone that is completely free.

phone needs root
It's little expensive to pay 35$ to unlock a phone maybe 20 $ I'm waiting for an offer
Just checked out those links and they don't mention the gt-s7500.
I've done some research, and it does not appear to be possible to use these pre-existing tools to unlock an s7500

you have to check it !
do not expect a tool made only for your phone
I give an example: I made a custom rom for Samsung Omnia using a tool made for HTC phones
do backup before anything if you have problems and want to revert to stock use this thread
also I understand your frustration

No he is right, the ones made for the S, S2 original Ace and Vibrant do not work. There are also mentions of extracting and modifying the efs folder in a hex editor or the .bl5 partition but these do not yield any data. I have emailed xda developer chainfire but i doubt he will be able to help as he does not have one of these devices. For now we are stuck
****
Would there be a way to do a batch search in hex for 8 digit strings that resemble an unlock code?
If I knew my unlock code, and then searched those root files for that exact string, maybe we'd know how to unlock s7500s?
Or is that over simplifying it?
Any updates on chainfire?
I'm amazed there is nobody out there who has worked this out yet...
Would really appreciate it if someone could help us out... It's quite annoying having a s7500 but not being able to use it as a phone.... Sort of pointless actually.
Anyone? Have tried loads of methoods - none didnt work'd
I've been looking for a way to unlock GT-S7500 but without success. Seems that Samsung Tool 12.6 and newer by z3x-team is able to unlock it but they are charging for it. In case anyone has it and is willing to share, will be much appreciated

I used unlocksamsungonline [dot] nl and bought a code for 15E. It solved the problem in few seconds. Better this way than waiting for free codes and not using a phone I paid for.
Still Noone?
Heeeey
I just received a S7500 (Ace Plus) from my friend and tried to unlock it using the BML5 method and some others i found in this Forum and im a bit frustrated that none of them worked... :'(
Is nobody out there that could share a hint (Link, Tutorial, Video, Screenshot) that could help people unlocking this Model??
I guess im still not the only one out there that has a locked Ace + and is not very happy about it.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Help us!
Greetings!
How to root the phone? Please help i want to upgrade it to 4.1

Hi all,
I have read many threads on this page, and developers pages, however, it seems quite difficult to unlock this O2 LT15i so I can install ICS.
I have tired and failed.
Is there anyone that might be able to spend a little time talking me through the steps to do so.
I just wish this phone was unlocked as if it was, it appears simpler.
PLEASE can anyone help, or suggest a step by step guide. (for novices like me) that really want the phone working well, but arent 100% clued up on all the softwares.
I understand the process of installing ICS to phones, as I have done so with my HTC HD2 (workked very well in under an hour). but this LT15i is something else!!!
Please help.
(sorry if this has been posted before, but I have honestly tried howevver, the guides I used have missing links, or trojans in the downloads
Kind regards
P
forgot to mention Bootloader unlock allowed says NO.
Whats my first step?
I follow all the other guides and they all have yes as the answer....

Bootloader & SIM Unlocking:
PLEASE NOTE: The ONLY WAY to Sim Unlock your Phone is to PAY for it, so do some Googling and read which services have been recommended in the past.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
If you're Phone was manufactured AFTER a certain date, 12W11 (look under your battery for a similar number) then the Testpoint method no longer works, and People who have had Phones returned from a Service Centre are reporting that they can no longer unlock via the Testpoint method either.
- Know Your Android Bootloader - What it is and Why it Matters
There are three ways to Unlock yours, the Standard/Official method (For SimFree/Un-Branded Phones) which is explained HERE, (PLEASE NOTE! - You loose DRM when using the official method but not with the TestPoint) but if your Phone came from a Carrier then chances are (99%) you won't be able to use that method. There is a simple method of checking if you can or not which you'll find HERE.
Standard Unlocking:
Then there is the TestPoint method...
TestPoint Unlocking:
Two members - Alejandrissimo or Jinx13 offer a Remote Service which isn't free, but cheaper than anywhere else on the net, and when you take in to account you will also SIM Unlock and retain DRM using the Remote method it's worth it.

Hey buddy, you don't need to unlock your boot loader before you install a custom ROM or upgrade your phone to a custom firmware, all you need is to get rooted and download the ful ROM, then with the help of flashtool, your done. Am currently running a custom ROM (viper xperia) which is blazingly fast and lovely UI with my Lt15i locked bootloader.
Hi all.
After Android 10.0.0 (QQ1A.200105.002),
is it impossible to unlock bootloader anymore? I've tried every unlock steps on XDA with current version, but failed.. Do you think it will be possible later?
Is there any way to get unlock code from Verizon or Google?
don't understand why need to follow Verizon device unlocking policy even I don't use Verizon network..
I bought it for developing frameworks and services but I didn't notice it is Verizon and Verizon's policy;;
Thank you.

The short answer is no. This topic has been brought up, and dismissed a few times already as many who have tried to find a reliable exploit, have simply given up. The P2XL will be 3 years old this October, so unless a very talented, creative code writer can find an exploit, I surmise that this topic will just quietly ride off into the sunset. Here is the latest thread that I know of if you wish to know more.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/how-to/zero-day-vzw-pixel-2-xl-root-t3977851
Having tried all the methods online (using adb comands and stuff) I can't figure out where exactly is it that i'm going wrong.
i have installed pixel usb drivers , SDK platform tools, Run the command right and yet it shows me an error.
Someone please tell me what do I need to do different as this method has worked out for almost everyone.
After the December update, this method no longer works.
But the Ukrainians have already come up with a new way.
Unfortunately, there are limitations in this unlocking method, but it's better than nothing.

thank you so much for this
helped alot
please let me know if u find a better fix
I just want to say that If paid off, there are 2 ways att and Verizon phones unlock. ATT: you can enter the phones IMEI into att's unlock portal. If it meets eligibility for unlock, they should unlock it. Verizon: their phones will unlock in 60 days since activation assuming the line that was used to activate pixel 6 for the first time is still active, of course. TellCulvers Survey
