Hello there, I'm a new user. First things first, I'm sorry if I do some grammar errors. I own a Samsung Galaxy J5 2016, model SM-J510FN. I live in Italy, and I have got Android Marshmallo 6.0.1 . According to Sammobile, I saw that there are some firmwares, like the Polish one, that have already got Android Nougat 7.1.1. Now, checking on IMEI checker, I saw that my phone is TIM brand (a mobile network brand in Italy), infact when I factory reset the mobile, It automatically installs TIM apps, but I don't think my phone is brand-locked, because I use WIND, another network brand. Checking on some forums, I saw guides for flashing another country firmware with Odin. So, I have a few questions, because this is my first time I want to flash.
1) Will I have some network troubles by installing the no-brand Polish firmware? Will I be able to use my SIM card?
2) Won't I get my phone brand blocked by installing another country firmware?
Thanks in advance. :good:
Hi i have a branded galaxy s9 on vodafone uk which i installed btu firmware on then relised i couldnt use wifi or 4g calling so reinstalled vod firmware now my question is how do i get back the firmware csc as this is missing in phone info app and i dont have 4g calling my product code and active csc are both as they should be many thanks
I have s9 bought from carphonewarehouse, XEU csc and it has WiFi calling in the settings after I rang Vodafone, they just updated my apn settings, im on the Vodafone network too. Only thing is 4g calling won't work without Vodafone branded phone.

My phone was brought from vodafone so is a branded phone until i played with it lol
Lol, was thinking of flashing the Vodafone firmware just to try out volte but judging by what you've just said sounds like it's not as easy as that [emoji848]

I've also had an unlocked phone from Samsung direct but on Vodafone. To get wifi calling just give them a call. No settings are sent to accept it's all done OTA. To get Volte or 4g calling whichever it is you do have to have the VOD csc. But I think it has to be the same version as your original firmware. I've just stuck the ARD4 official Vodafone firmware from Sammobile via Odin and it all works out the box. However when I was on the BTU firmware ARD4 all I did was put the ARD equivalent csc from Vodafone firmware via Odin. Used the home_csc file so no data deleted. However Everytime I restarted I got an annoying message saying some network features not available until I factory reset the phone. But Volte etc working so I was happy. Just waiting for Vodafone UK to update their firmware to BRE5 now.
Hope that helps.
P.s when installing the csc from Sammobile even though I selected the UK one the initial screen came up in German. But after restarting and clearing cache it came back to English.
Hello,
im new here . so please mind my mediocre knowledge.
i got a rooted phone Galaxy A5 520F in Germany, then i wanted to go back to the stock firmware and unroot this phone, while im in Germany i chose Germany DBT for all mobile carriers.

Hi first post, please be gentle
I've got an s9 which is on EE UK, I flashed the phone with stock firmware, I did run into a couple of issues where when flashing the phone it got stuck on odm.img so I had to start again but using CSC and not home CSC so I lost everything
When the phone rebooted, it started up in German, so as I had my sim card in, it restarted in English
I'm using the following
G960FXXU2CSA2/G960FOXM2CSA2/G960FXXS2BRK3
Service provider SW SAOMC_SM-G960F_OXM_DBT_PP_0009
DBT/XEU/EVR
When I check for updates I get the following
Your current software version isn't supported. Visit a service centre
Can anyone help on how to put this right, I want to stay on stock firmware, not EE firmware
Thanks in advance
Good morning, I have a problem with my S9 model G9600 which came from the factory with the firmware of Hong Kong, however I tried to change the firmware for the one in Colombia because some voice services of the operators only work with the software of the country. But when trying to flash the part of CSC I mark the error and obviously the installation fails as in a kind of A brick because the logo of Galaxy S9 does not pass and is only solved by reinstalling the firmware with which it came from the factory; I have already made sure that the binary is the same, however I can not find a solution. I attach photos of the error.

You need to flash the XEU firmware, you have the German DBT firmware running right now
same issue, i have a hungarian telenor phone which suppoesed to be (PAN) , i flashed XEH which is hungarian, but it said software version not supported visit a support center , so i flashed the PAN 9.0 version and it still says this
Did you find any solution for this?

are you having an identical issue? i ask that because resolutions are very specific. Flashing firmware from www.sammobile.com/firmwares is very commonly the fix for a great many issues, but id hate to have you go thru the trouble of doing so if its not necessary
I tried flashing using odin but didnt work. btw, im using SM-965U and currently residing in Thailand. I dont know if this is the reason why I cant update at all.
S9 message
I am in the U.S. and am getting the message that software isn't supported also. Is there any resolution to this problem?
In case it helps, I was having this same issue with my unlocked Galaxy Note 10+. I found this thread after searching. I had gotten into this situation by flashing CP/AP/BL from TMO firmware without also flashing TMO's CSC or USERDATA. I avoided CSC/USERDATA (I was using the home CSC) because I wanted to avoid wiping the phone.
When I finally gave up and flashed CSC and USERDATA, everything was back to normal.

what is the issue after you flash in Odin?
I bought a A50 from ebay it was a SM-A505F/DS unlocked etc its a 4GB 128GB model
now i downloaded the xeu firmware for the UK and flashed via oden and everything flashed and it worked but when I try to check for updates it says processing failed when checking for updates
IT DOES NOT EVEN REGISTER TO THE UPDATE SERVER.
I TRIED WITH THE VODAFONE UK FIRMWARE O2 FIRMWARE BTU FIRMWARE AND XEU FIRMWARE ALL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE
this phone is an XSG model the firmware i used was from the SM-A505FN phone
why does everything work but updates anyone know how to resolve this.
Well if it does not work then you should keep your eye on the samsung's official galaxy a50 development page, and if update is available download the firmware and flash it with odin... Dont worry none of your data will be gone.. and btw if your bootloader is unlocked you wont get updates..

How do you expect it to work by flashing the wrong firmware? You’re flashing a NFC model firmware on a Non-NFC model. Download the desired region firmware for A505F, Remove your sim and flash the firm via Odin.
