Hi all,
I just got me a OnePlus 7T.
Anyways I am rooted and I tried to edit a Magisk module config, for "ACC or Advanced Charge Controller." When I go to save it, I get a not enough space error. I only used 36 GB out of 128 GB. So I am not sure why this is happening? Any help is appreciated.
Thank You
So I got this figured out. I could use any editor I want on my Pixel with no problem. I ended up get QuickEdit off the Playstore and was able to save with root privileges.
Thanks for all the replies!

In all my years I've never heard of this, but after changing dpi via editing build prop, phone can no longer see ext sdcard. Storage in settings, file manager cannot but act as if there it's no card. Tried 560, 540 so far. With no luck.
Running stock 10m, rooted.
Anyone ran into this?
well 520 is a no go. system ui fc's at start. Fun **** with no backup, recovery, or adb permission.
damn, what a waste of space.
After much research ive found that editing the build.prop via root explorer, as I've done for years, is no good these days. got an app. got it down where I want it. Good to go.
Any idea why that might of happend
How do I use root dpi changer with my sd card
Hello,
I have an "lg g3 beat".
after a few months of regular use i got the "insufficient storage available" message.
I tried deleting all my watsapp data all the cache with ccleaner, deleting all apps i can, moving everything i can to the sd card, but still i am only left with 300+ mb of free space. :crying:
I noticed the "misc" is taking 6 gb of the 8 gb i have in the phone. so looking at that i got to the "storage\emulated\0\.temp_tmp" folder on the phone it takes 2.5+ gb of space.
is it safe to delete?
on my galaxy i could go to the secret menu (*#990#) and clear dumpstate, this dosent work here, is there an alternative?
please help me! i am desperate! :crying::crying::crying:
thanks in advance.
no one?
Are u rooted
not rooted, stocked
Of coarse if u root u can. Use a root file explorer to delete it i dont know ure root method i have a reg g3 but shouldnt be hard to find
I am pretty sure i can delete it, since i can access it trough windows explorer.
My question is: what is this folder for, is it something important or is it safe to delete?
thanks for the replay,
If im not mistaken most of its like old log data stuff like thT if ure not rooted u shouldnt be able to delete any thing that would harm the device
move them and see how your phone reacts. if something major happens then move them back.
Im currently having the same issue with storage space yet no one is coming forward with a solution. mine is also stock.
You say these temp files are the cause of the large misc storage problem then Ill do the same and look to delete them.
In my phone they take almost 3 GB of space (from a 8 GB phone) that's a lot!
ill try it in the evening and report back,
thank you
Took me a while to gather up my courage, but finally did it!
No side effects, just free 3 GB of space.
i recommend doing too

My wife has a d5316, which she is totally happy with except for the lack of internal memory. The phone is on 5.1.1 and i rooted it with " kingroot". I would like to
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t2-ultra/general/lp-debloating-script-performance-t3453452 and i was trying to swap the internal memory with a 64 gb
Sd card i put in it, using https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php.
So i downloaded root browser ( jrummy apps inc.) , i found 2 different /etc
Files, and neither one had the vold.fstab folder i was looking for. I didnt try to mount r/w. Because i wanted to locate the file first. Was this vold file moved to a new location in 5.1.1 ? I just dont wanna brick her phone cause I'll never hear the end of it.
I'm just not sure which posts are still good and which are outdated, so if anyone can plz help me accomplish my goals i would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou in advance for any help anyone can offer.

Simple mod to back up all your photos in Original quality to Google Photos without it being only in High Quality.
Requirements: Root
1st Method
Instructions:
1. Download Root Explorer
2.Download the Nexus.xml file
3. In Root Explorer go to system/etc/sysconfig
4. Paste the .XML file there
5. Change to file permissions to 0444 (read only)
6. Clear Data/Cache from Google Photos
7.Reboot
8.Enjoy unlimited original photos backup
For those who this method doesn't work, there's another method I've found.
2nd Method
For this method you'll need BuildPropapp.
Download the app from the file I've provided or from playstore.
Open the app , At top right corner you'll find a pencil icon. click on it, You'll see a list of codes.
Now you can either manually find the following values or use the find option in the menu from top right corner.
Change The Following Values:-
<strong>ro.product.model=Pixel 2 XL </strong>
<strong>ro.product.manufacturer=Google</strong>
<strong>ro.opa.eligible_device=true</strong>
After changing the values. Click on save icon and close the app.
Again wipe the user data of Google photos and reboot your phone.
That's all...
1st parking and wait for people try out
Edit: it actually works. But it adds on top of your current google drive storage (my max storage 19GB + extra 11GB from this mod, total I have 30GB now)
Yayy...!! It's working
It works thx
Didnt work for me [emoji17]
Thanks working great
It's working.

Try reinstalling the app and makes sure to follow every step. This method works fine on my 9T Pro Global ROM. Idk about custom ROMs. Edit works on mine. Idk if it works but Hide GPhotos in Magisk and got to app management and give every permission to GPhotos.

Thank you very much, indeed it works as it should now and no issues with the app ????
Did you check if your Google Drive used space increased or not when backing up new photos?
Didnt work on pocophone f1.
Does not work with me, unfortunately. Is there any other way that I would really like to use??
Thank you so much.
Works on K 20 Pro and on One Plus 6.
Work on my mi 9 t pro; i've only set different rw/r/r (644) cause 444 doesn't work for me
Now Gphoto says that my ''pixel'' has unlimited space in original quality thanks for sharing

Just so you guys know, if you guys moving from android to ios, the Google photos will consume all your free storage ( 15gb for gmail, gphotos, contact etc ) , so better think twice if you want to do this.

This is true even for a Pixel device.
Just buggered my buildprop and my phone doesn't boot properly anymore, do you guys have the original value for "ro.product.mod_device" for this device? Not sure if global/non-global makes a difference?
Thanks

I find this stupid, I used to do a full quality backup. Later then I switch my device to an iPhone then found out that my storage is overused 44gb/15gb. I cannot receive any email because there is no free storage left so I have to subscribe to 100gb storage for 2dollar per month. Ezmoney for google
I have Magisk rooted global 10.0.15 rom on my OnePlus 7T.
While looking around I found the following apk - please reference attached screenshot.
I can't delete these apks and mount r/w does nothing; nor changing permissions either.
So, is thier any way to delete these apks?
Will deleting these apks have any side effects?
Haven't determined if a Magisk module could exist to deal with this (r/w permissions)?
Will I have to figure out abd commands on Windows 10 or live Linux CD/USB drive? It's it any easier using Linux?
Thanks
Use ADB or magisk debloat module, otherwise no way.
Just freeze them.. I'm guessing it's not a storage issue but a personal bloat-ware issue that you don't want those apks running at all... So the easiest way for that to happen is to just put them on ice.
Sorry to revive a most likely dead issue....
But...
I've only used TWRP on my OnePlus once... Lost TWRP with OTA update - so I really didn't get much of a chance to familiarize myself with TWRP on any OnePlus - like I've previously done with all my prior Samsung's.
Having said all that: I think I remember TWRP has a storage/file manager?
If that's correct... Then can I drill down into the OOS and delete whatever I like as opposed to the previously provided solutions (and yeah I've used both solutions with thanks
For freezing apps I'm loving SD Maid and enjoy the additional features of that app and worth much more than I paid for it and it's wonderful that it's still seems to be maintained over the years....
