Hello everyone, I haven't compiled a Rom from source before, but I have spent like 5 hours researching and watching videos and going through the CM wiki, now I feel pretty confident in trying it.
I have a Find 7 QHD X9076, I will start working on this tomorrow.
I am just wondering if anyone would be interested in testing it?
Also does anyone know where I can get the proprietary blobs from, I could extract them from the current CM builds, but I'm
sure those are for the 7A.
If anyone knows where I could get it from then that would help me a lot.
Let me know your thoughts
PS if this actually works, ill probably consider looking into optimizations and features rather than just a dedicated CM11 build for the X9076
Sounds great! Do you have a X9076 yourself?

Are you just compiling existing CM?

Also they already do that, nightly

I would recommend to test build SlimROM insted. Comming from Galaxy S4 and I think SlimROM was the most stable/best rom.

Yeah, I have a the international QHD version, there isnt a lot of support at the moment so I thought it have a crack at it, also considering a stock rom with performance enhances instead as there is already a CM nightly, but then again thats for the 7a.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to compile yet, I know they already have a nightly, but there are a world of issues for the QHD version as those nightly builds are for the 7a, so I was thinking about building for the QHD instead.

I will look into that, I also looked into omni rom, and a stock rom with enhancements and new features.

Really hope you deside on SlimROM.
HELP!
Can anyone help me get the proprietary files for the X9076 version? I know I can install CM11 and extract them, but will those files work if I build from SlimRom? or is there another way I can obtain them?
you didn't hear this from me:
github.com/themuppets - CM
github.com/donkeycoyote - Omni
Omni won't work on the QHD Find7 yet, if you decide to try and get it running, you will, at a minimum, have to fix the display panel reset GPIO code.
https://github.com/omnirom/android_...mmit/59223a3e64565bcfa13bfd3b58fc676128d02ca7 - this was only done for the 7a and still needs to be done for the 7, but so far no one has a device to try and fix that stuff up.

Thanks for this I will look into it, unfortunately I have a terrible internet connection and until I find somewhere that I can download the setup files, I wont be able to move forward, 15GB download would take me like 3 weeks

wowwww.
You might have to up your internet first.
But count me in if you are creating a stock based ROM. I'll gladly help you test it.

Yeah I am looking more towards stock also, I actually quite like the Colour OS, minus the tacky icons. Ill keep y'all posted with whatever happens Thanks for Volunteering to test btw.
I will test for SlimROM. Know the rom well.

Howdy!
With Cyanogenmod already out for the it, how long do you guys think it will be for the OP3 to get SailfishOS? I know Sailfish has never run on hardware like the OP3, but I'd be elated to see it on such a powerful device.
Thanks!
An unofficial port just released for the OP2...
Still waiting for a port for OP3.
And the wait just continues... seems unlikely tbh.... can´t wait to try it though. Would like to rid myself of google

Why not use LineageOS 14.1 or something like PureFusion OS, or Paranoid Android?

Are you aware of what Sailfish Os is? Because by your post, you seem not to. I´m currently running resurrection remix so that´s lineage. But sailfishOs has nothing to do with Lineage, OOS nor Android that much tbh. I think you should do some googling and learn about something new Have you heard of Jolla phones?

I know what sailfish os is. But you want to move away from Google services, and sailfish isn't coming anytime soon. So was just asking why not use other alternatives meanwhile...

Plus the person trying to port it to the OP3 is basing it on Android. I find it stupid that you're thinking of me as being dumb based on a question.

I didn´t mean to offend you, dear sir. You can never know what someone does or does not know just by a post online (which is the reason I used the word "seem"- without making assumptions, and encouraged you to read up. I always encourage people to learn more, as I encourage myself as well. I was not aware that he would be basing it on Android, and as far as I´ve checked (and used all three), neither Lineage, Purefusion (aosp) or paranoid android (aospa) are rid of google (unless you just don´t install gapps- which is also the case on Resurrection). So the only alternative (at least that I am aware of) - would be microg - which is basically in alpha stage. Again, I meant ABSOLUTELY no offense, and I apologize if I hurt your feelings.

It's fine man. Was probably a misunderstanding. Yes, you just need to avoid flashing Gapps and maybe use F-droid or the Amazon app store or together app stores. Some said MicroG works well but I never tried.
Can someone tell me how to create LineageOS 14.1 or 13 for this crappy SM-T210  I've collected some info and I readed this page http://web.archive.org/web/20161224192644/https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro many times, but I still don't understand everything. There's no information about software or OS that I need. It will be nice if someone tell me step by step how to do this. I just want successfully boot LOS on Tab 3.7, no matter how this will work I want to just boot it. Thanks in advance.
I would love a ROM for my Tablet (SM-T210)
I've been searching for so long to find a Lineage for this device.
It would be a dream if someone could make this dream come True.
Thanks for Listening

I suggest you try using this website (http://www.lineageosrom.com/2017/01/how-to-build-lineageos-rom-for-any.html)
Don't worry I will try aswell to prevent you from wasting a lot of time.
Just try it just in case I fail
Thanks for Listening and Good Luck

I think my repo sync keeps looping... I see the same screen more than 8 times. I started repo sync 5 hours ago, no results. Should I interrupt it or keep it syncing?

This tutorial works only if your target device already has a fork on github.
I have been trying to port GT-N5120 to SGH-I467M, both are variants of the Samsung Note 8.0 tablet (not phone), with no luck.
I can easily build a ROM for GT-N5120 without problems. I have also grabbed proprietary blobs from SGH-I467M, and it would compile again and install OK, but some pieces are still as broken as without the proprietary blobs, e.g. Bluetooth.
I am completely baffled by why it is so difficult to port from one Note 8.0 to another especially Bluetooth doesn't seem to be the difference between these two devices.
Pretty much the title. I was able to get an AOSP build going but I was wondering if anyone here has tried building Lineage for Taimen?? I'm running a repo sync right now and hopefully I'll have a build done before too long.
Anyone have any success?
Hey let me know if it worked. I love my pixel 2 xl but man do I worry about all the crap Google is doing in the background.
Hi everyone,
A few days ago that I have this device (european 12/256 version) and I'm already thinking about putting a custom rom , it seems that OOS is no longer what it was ....
Reading some of the comments I have a few questions:
Is it true that in all custom roms there is strange stuttering (does not run smoothly)?
With magisk hide option, the gpay runs well ?
What are the differences between the gcam and the stock camera ? (we lose video quality, monochrome type option? something else?)
There aren't many videos on youtube about custom roms and our one plus 9 pro, so if I decide to install one, I will upload some videos talking about it.
thanks in advance!
I'm in the exact same sutuation that you're in right now
Losing the stock camera would be the biggest blow for me. Gcam is good and all but not in every situation.
I'd love some feedback aswell so I start rocking some ROMS on this beast!
Idk I have flashed a few custom roms on my 9 pro. Only thing I really have issues with is gpay and and Android auto and Bluetooth syncing. Like I have a media player that has a USB port I plug my phone in and it goes directly to Android auto. But if I have a custom in it won't connect at all. And gpay it won't let me use it at all but I haven't really tried to hide with magisk either. The custom roms are awesome but I think as of right now cause the changes in 11 and 12 happening everything is off in some sorts.

Hopefully someone else can give us some feedback on their experience with gcam or if anyone knows if someone are trying to port the stock app.

In fact all Lineageos based ROMs (lineageos crdroid etc)suffer from strange stuttering ,only Paranoid defaults globally to 120hz(run smoothly in app). This problem is still unresolved for developers
