Realme is my favorite brand because from the last 2-3 years I always used Realme smartphones because they are on my budget and have all the necessary tools and features that are available on any smartphone which are more expensive than Realme X.
I used Realme C1 earlier and have no issues but later on, I gifted it to my brother, I buy Realme X on last year from then I faced no issues regarding this handset but now I am a little bit upset with its overheating aspect which really irritates me and sometimes I feared about it. I am a gaming guy but never play on mobile devices as I always prefer laptops whenever I want to play.
I want tips or suggestions about this issue and what is the best smartphone in Realme that has a better battery package and has no issues like over-heating.

Hey , I'm about to buy a new smartphone and I'm wondering which smartphone will be the best for 300 bucks.
So what I want is a solid build smartphone ,weight doesn't bother me .A powerful CPU and sufficient RAM for Browsing internet,Watching Youtube, Social Media(Multitasking) and playing occasionnaly some games (asphalt,..) .A good Camera I don't care about low light or recording 4K videos I just want some Good Pictures ,more details and sharpness and accurate autofocus since I will use it for social media. And a durable Battery at least one day without charging !!! ; and a loud speakers not the loudest as the Axon 7 but at least audible.
After many searches I found that the Mi 5s is the best, but I heard that some users have encountered some problems with the fingerprint scanner , 4G connectivity , and battery draining too fast, and Problems with multitasking as the phone had to reload apps everytime , I dunno if it's a problem of some units or general.
But I also found these Smartphones : Leeco Le Pro 3, Leeco Le Max 2, Zuk Z2 , Honor 8 , ASUS Zenfone 3, Meizu Pro6, Huawei Honor V8 , Xiaomi Mi 5 , Zte Nubia 11 ,..., if u know something else in this price range please tell me.
So My Priorities are Performance , Camera , Solid Build , Battery , Audio .
Please Guys , tell me which smartphone can handle my needs ? is Mi 5s better than those listed above ?
PS: My Provider 4G bands are 800/1800/1600 Mhz
Thanks in advance.
I was in the similar position as you. I looked into it and came back with the conclusion that of all the Chinese phones, it's the software which a lot of reviews said was jut not as polished as miui. Coming from a nexus stock Android user experience I was a bit worried, but I was dead wrong. I love miui, it feels very nice. Has a similar notification drawer to LG. There were complaints against the mi5 build quality, so I ended ip with the mi5s (4/32 varient due to low price).
The fingerprint reader isn't as fast and magic as my nexus 5x but it's only a small nigle (I use trusted location). Not had any issues with it and an recommending it to my friends
With future updates miui will be polished more and more no worry...

First I was going to get the oneplus t3 but it's slighty to large. I love the oneplus bcs it's as close to stock android you can come without having to flash your own custom ROMs. But since I want a phone that is 5.0-5.5" I found the Mi 5s as a possible alternative.
questions:
1. Can I easily root this phone and flash a nougat ROM so I can use google play store?
To compare I'm currently on Sprint with a rooted HTC 10 running the VENOM ROM.
2. I'm switching to T-mobile where I was planning on using this the Mi5s. I travel abroad quite a bit, does the mi5s have all the bands for international travel?
3. Anything I would miss from my current HTC 10 or oneplus 3t if I make the switch?
Thanks!!
Xiaomi Mi6 will be released this month, you can wait Mi6.
Hello guys
Sorry for the long question.
I am very confused these days, i sold Redmi Note 7 some days ago but now i don't understand that what device is perfect for me in my low budget. I have some devices in my mind:
1. Pocophone F1
2. Realme 3 Pro
3. OnePlus 5T
What i need:
I really like to install different roms on my deivce, occasionally gaming and most of the time watching movies etc.
Why i am not able to decide ?
1. Pocophone F1
Big notch taking over 70% of status bar. Heard / saw different threads claiming that the devices has touch screen / hardware issues.
2. Realme 3 Pro
Realme 5 Pro also available around the world but not in Pakistan. In Pakistan only option so far is Realme 3 Pro. Overall phone seems to be a good deal. But there is no Android development.
3. OnePlus 5T
This device is my most favorite device. Do you guys recommend me to buy 5T in 2019? and i also want to now, that is there any common hardware related issues to check for before buying?
Looking for response from you guys.
Plenty of ROM support and easy methodology to tamper, if you aren't a fan of OOS which is quite good anyway. Updates are still being released quite frequently through the beta.
Bought mine on release, coming up on 2 years ago now. Only complaints I have hardware wise:
-charging port can be finicky, but I need to clean it.
-camera is very average (but GCam mod with root + camera library dot fix performs very well)
I don't see myself getting a different phone for at LEAST another year and a bit. Take of that what you will.
I bought oneplus 5t 2 weeks a ago and i would say buy the damn phone you won't regret it, previously i was using samsung a50 but was not satisfied with the performance, oneplus 5t is blazing fast, go for it
Good phone but two things that suck
Vibration motor is horrible. It's so weak that I can't even hear it most of the time
Camera quality out of the box is just average
This two things didn't seem to be important to me in the past but you do notice the difference after using the phone for 2 years
In my opinion 5T is still beast but official beta support had dropped
Not that much custom ROMs available (many maintainers and developers switched to op6 or higher models)
Better try to buy op6or6T
Although open beta has been stripped for the 5t I'm still more than happy with my 5t. I even prefer OOS over the custom ROMs because it's really fast, stable and the gesture control kicks ass and is way better than that Google thing. Plus have in mind that OP already confirmed Android q. It may take a while but for now OP is still going strong with security patches. As long the battery is fine so am I.
Dear all,
I have removed some off topic posts from this thread. Please post with manners and contribute to the discussion. Thanks.

The Pocophone has larger battery and an IR scanner which is amazing for face recognition. But the screen is not good as 5T's.
Oxygen OS is probably the best out there. It is light and so fast and allows so many customizations. I bet you won't be bothered with custom ROMs!
Snapdragons 835 and 845 don't differ much either.
I'd go for the 5T if I found both at similar price.
Redmi Note 8 Pro or Realme 5 Pro. Going to buy one of these very shortly.
1. Which one would you buy and why?
2. Which one offers best support /updates?
3.Which one would offer best second hand resale value in 12 to 18 months time? Thanks in advance!
Edit - RNP8 is 6/64gb while Realme is 8/128gb. I'm in Ireland but will probably buy from amazon Spain or Germany as its cheaper.
1) well it really depends on what exactly your uses will be. But the RN8Pro has nfc support, slightly bigger battery, higher camera megapixels both front and rear, they both have fingerprint sensor, RN8Pro comes with Gorilla Glass v5 vs the v3 realme comes with, but the Realme comes with a slightly higher display pixel density. I personally have never had a realme, but I used to have a RN3Pro and now have an RN8Pro and I am very satisfied.
2) again I've never had a realme so I cannot comment on the support/update aspect. The Realme does come with a snapdragon chipset so if you were ever unsatisfied with the stock rom you would have plenty of custom rom options. That being said if you are also looking into custom rom I have been told from the founder of posp that they will soon release an build for the RN8Pro being the first and only custom rom for the device.
3) both of these devices have a very low price. a year from now, and used would cost very little. So neither would get a high return if sold 12 to 18 months from now.
But overall in my opinion I would go for the RN8Pro.

Hey guys,
I have checked tons of youtube reviews and online reviews on the devices but for the first time in my life I am stuck to take one of these phones. I had mostly used bigger smart phones since the android era, like Sony Z ultra, Mi max etc .
I need to get one of these phones immediately, PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HONEST opinion.
I think Poco X2 is a better choice.
It has better screen (120Hz vs 90Hz) and much better community support (custom kernel, ROM, etc).
Especially for community support, Realme is still FAR BEHIND Xiaomi.
Realme 6 Pro still got no bootloader unlock while Poco X2 already had several custom ROM and kernel available right freaking now.
I'd stay away from realme if they still being a b*tch like this, that's how disappointed I am with my 6 pro.

If you want better cus rom support and a better primary sensor then X2. There isn't much of a difference. 120hz gives a tiny bit of more smoothness in scrolling other wise you'll be stuck on 60hz on most of the interface. This high refresh rate thing is a new gimmick just like quad camera where 2 of the sensors are useless (macro & depth). Atleast the 6pro has a telephoto lens. Also poco x2 with 120hz drains battery faster. 720G and 730G are mostly similar in terms of performance. Ad situation is a lot better on Realme as u will have to turn off one single toggle and all ads are gone.
I have used stock android most of life and I hated the idea of a custom skin but realme ui is good (after disabling a few coloros apps) and you will get used to the ui in 2-3 days and it feels a lot more smooth and polished, even though a few options are missing.
Normally the Pro versions have good cusrom support but realme didn't allow bl unlock yet, once they do there will be some roms on the way as sources are released already (I think, not completely sure).
The Oppo Find X3 Pro and the OnePlus 9 Pro are basically the same phone, with very similar specs and almost identical screens / features.
They even run the same OS in China!
The Oppo has received rave reviews, especially for it's camera offering and colour handling; yet the reviews of the OnePlus are still mostly saying the camera, colour, focus etc. experience "could be better".
So, excluding the faster wireless charging time (which most OnePlus fanbois derided as not needed a couple of years ago), what real reasons are there for picking the OnePlus over the Oppo?

For me it would be ease of root, modding etc., and I'm kind of fond of Oxygen OS despite the changes in Android 11.
This comparison is really difficult between OnePlus and Oppo. I am an oppo user and at the same time, I am a fan of Oneplus. Both of them have a very minute difference, I want to buy a good camera quality phone for my photography, and here I got stuck between Oppo X# Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro. Please write the difference clearly and help me to buy the best one
The Oppo seems to only support 1 out of the 4 5G bands that T-Mobile operates on, and doesn't have band 71 for 4G, if that matters to you.
