How to install TWRP for android 10? - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

My G710N is running the lasted kdz, android 10. I tried to downgrade to Pie by LGUP then it stuck boot animation. The same thing happened with many of kdz of Pie and Oreo that I have tried. Things became normal when I kdz to android Q again.
My bootloader is unlocked. How can I install TWRP with 10?
Thanks a lot!

Following this guide will get you a secure boot error when attempting to boot into recovery. Even so following this guide is impossible because root is required and OP has no root on his kdz flashed MM.
My recommended solution would be reverting back to kitkat via kdz. If unfamiliar with the method follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
After reverting use the guide from post above: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-2-8-2-0-t2966129
to flash TWRP.
Then fell free to flash whatever you want in TWRP. If stock lollipop ROM is you what you desire, download zip from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/stock-t2961073
if stock MM is what you wish for download zips from here:

Yeah
Even so if his MM would somehow be rooted it was still kdz flashed so it contains
MM bootloader. That equals BUMP not working.
Hope you had fun.

I just tried the latest kingroot and it failed. Also keep in mind that rooting method varies between phones even if they run on the same android version.
We don't need to root it. Just have to flash twrp. Dm-verity must allow us to use custom software though.

No, LG has its own dowload mode. But not only flash a partition. You can flash via fastboot but after that, you'll not be able to boot into recovery mode. First, we need to remove Android boot verification from stock boot image.

Easier said than done. I dont know why they implemented it. I hope not every device running android 6.0 have abv.

LG G4 815 won't load in twrp recovery

Hello! Got some trouble booting my phone in recovery mode. As a first step to install new firmware (linageos) I flashed latest TWRP via official app and it said recovery flashed successfully. Next, I tried to boot recovery to flash new v29 bootloader but phone does not react to hardware key combination (tried many times) and just boots the system. Ok, I installed Quick Boot app, it does some job - phone reboots, about 10 lines of text appear on screen and that's it. Last line says in red - fastboot mode started. Any thoughts how to fix this? Thanks!
Phone model LG G4 H-815, Android 5.1, rooted, bootloader is from official unlock.

You have LP. newer official TWRP builds does not support lollipop anymore.
In the official TWRP thread you can find a link in the download section to my PREVIEW builds. You will need the MM flavor to boot on your firmware.
Once you have flashed the v29 bootloader you can use the official TWRP again
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs

Process should be same but i would not recommend, as several people have reported bricked phone while reverting from later pie versions to oreo.
I myself tried it when initial pie was released and did not face any issue.
Another challenge would be to find oreo raw firmware, there is no official link available as per my knowledge so have to be careful before downloading from 3rd party site.

You may try to clear data or do a factory reset after u flash TWRP for Android 11. That is, if you do have TWRP for A11

not a good idea messing with TWRP on android 11. you either need your bootloader unlocked, or to use the VBmeta skip.
sound like you have neither so you got the error for corrupted system.
you need to use the unbrick tool here
Unbrick Tool for Nubia Red Magic 5S!Made by North America & Asia: V807
This is the edl firmware of Nubia RedMagic 5S, which can repair your phone in edl mode. This firmware was made by North America & Asia: V807. All the files are from the official package without any modification! How to do? 1.Open...
forum.xda-developers.com
and reset your phone to Android 10.
if you want to keep android 10 only, update to 8.12 after using the unbrick tool.
Nubia link android 10 (8.12) http://rom.download.nubia.com/Europe&Asia/NX659_V1S/V812/NX659J-update.zip
so use unbrick tool.
boot phone. setup.
download update 8.12 and flash through system update local update.
ignore the update for android 11.

Sorry but we do not have public release for TWRP A11 right now. If you're suffering from softbrick, try to use unbrick tool. You can search it here in our forum
