Hi, I recently flashed an official CyanogenMod 14.1 Nightly. Shortly after that, TWRP Recovery was wiped from my phone (I would boot into recovery mode, the OnePlus logo would be visible for a while and the the screen would go black). I re-flashed TWRP again and then the stock Oxygen Recovery but the same kept happening. I eventually got into a bootloop trying to root my phone so I could use flashfire, so I tried flashing CyanogenMod Recovery. This one booted up perfectly, so I wiped system, data and ADB sideloaded Oxygen OS. I got an error, so I flashed an unofficial nightly via ADB sideload and booted to the system. I tried flashing TWRP again but the same keeps happening. Apparently CyanogenMod doesn't want you using anything other than Cyanogenmod.
Please Help!
UPDATE: I was able to ADB sideload Resurrection Remix (Nougat), but still can't flash TWRP (or any other recovery, or Oxygen OS)
Hello, people of XDA!
Not too long ago I bought the OP5T, and after using OxygenOS(5.0.3) for a while I thought it was time for a custom ROM, and decided to install Dirty Unicorns(v12), which was a disaster (the installation, not the ROM). After giving up on that idea, I settled on Resurrection Remix(v6.0.0) which by itself works wonderfully.
The problem is that when I flash Magisk(v16) and reboot, it takes me straight to recovery. I've tried using the official TWRP, blu_spark TWRP, and Codeworkx TWRP.
EDIT: I'm new to XDA, so I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post this question. If it isn't, please let me know so that I can remedy that problem.
This works:
wipe data/system/dalvik/cache -> flash Resurrection Remix(v6.0.0)
This does not:
wipe data/system/dalvik/cache -> flash Resurrection Remix(v6.0.0) -> flash Magisk(v16)
I've also tried to flash open_gapps (arm64, android 8.1.0, AROMA) but the apps just keep on stopping.
Any help would be appreciated.
Signed, Cidy02
I just installed Resurrection Remix with Magisk v16.
Flashed ROM with firmware. Did you flash the firmware?
Let the device start up.
Then rebooted to recovery and flashed.
Booted without issue. Then installed Magisk manager apk.
Only saying as I tried first flashing Magisk with the ROM and it did the same thing, went back to recovery.
So I'd try that first, leave flashing Magisk until you've confirmed it boots up.
I still haven't worked out which ROM I'll stick with. Thinking RR, LineageOS or Android Ice Cold Project.

Firmware, you say? I saw no such thing on the Resurrection Remix website. Could you kindly point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

Hi, if you don't find solution, flash Ressurection Remix-->flash gapps-->boot your phone and after setup completed resrart to recovery a new now flash magisk
I had my Coolpad 8676-i02 flashed with AOSPExtended v4.3 and when rebooted the system became unstable rendering no access to any App as they were all closing down on touch. Post booting updates did not complete as well compelling me to Backup & Reset that resulted in booting into TWRP recovery mode without boot image present.
Now, I have again successfully flashed AOSPExtended v.4.3 + Beans Gapp Full 7.1.x but when I reboot mobile, the system is yet booting into TWRP Recovery mode.
Can someone suggest me how to launch my mobile system working normally again.
Wipe everything and format data also then try to install ROM again.
If that's not working,
Flash the stock ROM and then install twrp and ROM it'll work fine.
If that's not working,
Go to the ROM thread and search for how to flash and some special thing to take care .
If that's not working,
Try to contact the developer ie AEX ROM's people
After the firmware Lineage 18.0 flew recovery, stupidly stopped opening.Flashing through adb recovery img does not give anything, can someone tell me something? Now I can't restore the TWRP backup or flash the custom firmware and Magisk.
I installed the service firmware via the computer and everything worked out.
In my case i boot on fastboot and flashed twrp img without booting into Lineage OS 18.1 and i could install another rom, Lineage OS 18.1 sadly has the bug that deletes TWRP recovery on rom boot, doesn't matter if you install again TWRP recovery
I unlocked my bootloader yesterday and tried to install Lineage OS 18.1 custom rom. I was able to install it but I wanted gapps so I rebooted to my recovery. I am confused between the A/B partition system. I accidentally flashed TWRP on A and Lineage Recovery on B. I restored both of them to the original one. How do I install Lineage OS with Gaaps? Should I flash the Lineage OS zip on A (so that it is installed on B), change the slots and flash Gapps?
"fastboot boot <image_name>" just gets stuck on the androidone logo which is why iused "fastboot flash <image_name>.
install lineage os 18.1 and reboot to lineage os recovery from there flash gapps .dont do anything on twrp except flashing lineage os 18.1

Thanks. I figured it eventually. I installed OS on my b-slot and gapps + magisk on my a-slot.
