Hello! Can you recommend a custom rom for Oneplus 3 that allows me to disable the second sim directly from the software? I tried Lineage OS and Pixel experience but they do not allow disabling the sim card. It must be completely removed from the phone if I want to deactivate it. Thanks!
I'd like to second this - I rolled back to Lineage 16 because of this very issue - one SIM.is mine, the other is for work. It was either carry two phones or roll back. Is there a custom ROM out there with this option?

Hello All,
As the title says I have a US Market ZE551ML 128GB Deluxe Special Edition phone. This is my 3rd ZenFone 2, so I'm not new to these devices. Until last week my phone was running a simple debloated stock 6.0.1 build. After reading the details of the 7.1.x Resurrection Remix-N ROM, I decided to flash it. After the ROM and GApps were installed, all went well until I popped my SIM back into SIM slot 1. In the settings it popped up as SIM2. If I put the SIM in SIM socket #2 it shows up as SIM1. I messed with it for a couple of minutes and decided I just had a bad flash. I did a complete wipe, downloaded fresh copies of the install files, and reflashed the same ROM. The same thing happened. I restored the backup I made in TWRP, same thing. At this point I freaked out a bit. I used the ASUS Flash Tool and flashed the phone back to a stock 6.0.1 build. The SIM behaves the same way. I flashed it with the stock 5.x RAW as well, no luck.
I know a lot of you will probably think, 'just leave your SIM in SIM slot 2'. No, I'm not that kind of guy. That sort of kludge will drive me a little closer to the hairy edge insanity. I want my device to work correctly.
Where are the files that define which SIM socket is labeled as 1 and 2. Maybe I can just flip them?
HELP!
Many thanks!
Karl North
Someone? Anyone? Please?
Hi everyone,
I am using a Oneplus 3 A3000 China variance. It was shipped with Hydrogen OS.
So i have unlock it and managed to flash it to Oxygen OS, as i need to use google services.
Everything was working perfectly fine until a couple of months later. I saw that Oreo is out and thus decided to upgrade it.
Using official method with stock recovery, i have managed to upgrade to the latest OxygenOS 5.0 using the below link
Oneplus 3 OOS5.0
I have followed the guide closely. Then after it reboot, my phone is no longer having service.
It will show my network SINGTEL (No service)
I have read close to 50 forums before i decided to post and seek help.
My phone info
OnePlus 3 A3000
Oxygen OS 5.0
Android 8.0 Oreo
Kernel version 3.18.66
Build number A3000_16_171116
Baseband MPSS.TH.2.0.c.1.9-00102-M8996FAAAANAZM-1.99649.1.118107.1
Stock recovery
Non root
Fingerprint, camera wifi all works
Both imei are still shown
Here is what i have already tried which all fails on me
1) Verified that Sim is not faulty. Have tested with 3 different working sim cards and it all shows no service on both Sim 1 and Sim, but works on my other phone
2) Tried using only one sim card at a time for sim1 and repeat with sim 2, same result as above
3) Remove sim card, power on phone and boot fully, power off phone and insert sim card and power it on again
4) Reset to default access point. Copied all settings from another phone using same telco access point setting and ensure its the default sim for data and services
5) Using *#*#46463*3* and set preferred network type
6) On the same menu, disable mobile radio power and reboot
7) Perform factory reset from phone phone system setting
8) Redownload OOS5.0 and reflash rom using stock recovery
9) Relock bootloader
Any help is greatly welcome. Phone no longer have warranty so i can't head back to the service centre.
Thanks for reading

Try the 5.0.1 update, maybe it works. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/oxygenos-5-0-1-ota-update-oneplus-3-3t-t3727433
Good luck!
@donlimck
Try with previous ROM.

I'm a bit worried to go down from Oreo. Have read enough to find out that it may have bandbase issue which might result in a bricked phone

Just updated to 5.0.1 through OTA. Unfortunately, it still did not solve the issue
Take SIM out. Reboot phone. Once powered-up, put SIM back in. This worked for me, even though it's a pain.

Thanks of the suggestion.
Have performed that too on my point 3
Tried something new today. Flashed back to Hydrogen OS hoping that it can detect my sim network
But sadly, it still does not detect.
Hello everyone, I downloaded the pixel experience custom rom and fingerprint was working fine, then I reflashed because sim card wasn't getting detected and now whatever I do I can't bring the fingerprint option back

You have to encrypt the device, you can do that in the security options

Hi, I have installed Pie update on my Mi A2 Lite however due to amount of the bugs I got back to Oreo V9.6.10.0.ODLMIFF. Since that time my SIM cards got swapped - SIM tray 1 is visible in settings as SIM 2 and vice versa. What is more annoying whenever I insert new card while phone is on, it does not auto detect that SIM has been just inserted and need to reboot phone each time I replace SIM in order to get connected to network. Can anyone help me with fixing this so the SIM ordering is corrected in software and auto detection is back on? Already tried reflashing rom and getting back to Pie but no improvements.
Hi,
I have the same problem

Hello everyone. I have a realme GT Master Edition (RMX3360).
The problem I am facing is that, SIM network does not work. SIM is recognised but it won't connect to any network, so basically I cannot use the SIM card even though the phone knows what SIM is this.
I did try:
Factory reset.
Use Force LTE app to access phone information and switch bands (I noticed radio toggle is switched off, I tried turning it on but it won't).
Unlock bootloader, just to increase my chances.
Flash only modem/hlos/... related partitions. Did not work (phone bricked).
Flash OFP firmware. Did not work.
Flash EDL firmware (C.09), which I am currently using. Still same problem.
Different SIM cards.
My IMEI is fine, it is recognised. My baseband version is 4. I did search for the issue in realme community, and it seems quite popular as a lot of people suffer from the same issue on different models.
I live in Sudan, we got no 5G, no VoLTE or whatever. Could you help me please?
I have similar problem after reboot .I can't connect to network or it tooks long time . What helps me is switching to airplane mode.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did install RMX3363 EU ROM from EDL, it booted fine but the phone still won't connect to any SIM network.
I will also try Russia ROM to see if it would make any difference.
Update:
I did flash Russian ROM from EDL, still does not work. Modem version is also still 4. I will try Chinese ROM next.
Try Latam version this what they put in middle east but so far i think its hardware issue did u try the sim card on another phone? Did you try another sim provider on your phone ? Sometimes if the sim card too old it wont work

That LATAM version is 18 Gigabytes haha. It'd take a few days to download.
I came to think it might be related to modem images as it showed the same version repeatedly on both RUI 2 & 3. So I'll try different modem images.
Also I'll try custom ROMs and GSIs. If it failed I'll return the device as a very last resort.
Update:
I tried latest Official ProjectElixir till date, still same problem.
Update 2:
I gave up the device and replaced it with another one under warranty. I will not buy another realme phone anytime soon.

I have a Xiaomi device too. The new virtual proximity sensor depends on hand movement to function. I don't use MIUI, but it is very fine at all situations.
Also I got a (256/8) GT Master replacement which is surprisingly working fine; being the same RMX3360.

It was already updated to F.03, I heard there was screen flickering or something but I didn't notice any so far.
But I did notice the battery was draining fast on mobile data. Really fast.
Besides, I can always lean on post-market development.

The general feel of the update is slower than the android 12 version
The battery will get better with you try to froze the app you dont use
