Recovery Data - LG K10 Questions & Answers

I have a k10 k430t that its screen literally doesn't exist anymore, so I can't access settings and I just know that it lives because it makes sounds and vibrates like it's on, there's a way to enable usb debugging with no idea what I'm doing, or through fastboot or download mode? thank you

[Q] Recovering data from a broken Wildfire

Hey guys. My Wildfire's screen doesn't respond to touch. Also the phone doesn't respond when I use the buttons at the bottom so I can't do anything. I want to try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275680
but firstly I would like to recover the data on the phone. Obviously, I need to put the stuff on my computer using USB. But whenever I connect it to the computer, it goes into charge mode and doesn't mount as a disk drive. Is there anyway to get around this, given that the screen isn't responding? I'd mostly like to get the contact details, if possible. Many thanks.

are you s-on or s-off? if you have no touch input you are really gonna struggle. especially without root. does the trackball still work and do you have usb debugging on?

I haven't done any rooting or anything like that (I don't know much about it) so it must be s-on. The phone doesn't seem to respond to the trackball or the volume buttons either. I don't know if I have USB debugging on. I think I do. When I connect it to the computer the phone says "USB debugging connected" but I can't remember if I had it turned on or off in the settings. The computer recognizes it as "Android Phone" but, as I said, the phone is in charge mode and I can't access any of the files.

Hmmm. OK, can you power off the Phone for me and then reboot with volume down held in and power at the same time.
This will take you to a white screen with info like s-off, s-on and hboot and a version number beside it. Can you share with me that Info please.
Then use the volume buttons to navigate the phone to reboot and use power to select. Then once it has rebooted connect it to the PC with the screen unlocked/awake and see if it pops up on the screen with USB debugging connected.
If we can security unlock your phone with revolutionary we will be able to add a custom recovery to your phone and make a full back up of your mobile. If USB debugging is not enabled you are stuck, and cannot retrieve anything from the phone before you ruu unless you are s-off already, (but that is very unlikely).
Your SD card can be removed from the back of your phone and with it all your pictures/music videos ect will be safe but your contacts are on the phone.
If you had the phone linked to your Google account it may be worthwhile logging in on the website and going to the Google dashboard. Find your phone on the list and your contacts "may" be backed up there if you enabled it during your initial phone set up.

[Q]Turn on LG G3 with broken power- and volume-down-Button with ADB installed

hello everyone,
the power button and the volume-down-button have both little or even no more function. I did not turn off the phone for several days now, knowing that I would not be able to turn it on again. I searched the internet for help, enabled usb-debugging and downloaded adb-files. I was able to connect to my phone and did the reboot command to see if it was working. it did.
my question is: once the phone turns off for any reason, will I be able to enter a boot mode (recovery, fastboot, download-mode: whatever they call it, I couldnt tell the difference) that allows me to turn on my phone or do I have to do additional steps..? At one page in this board (http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/how-to-boot-lg-g3-fastboot-mode-t3087445) I read that isnt as easy for the lg g3 as it is for other android phones to get into the right boot mode. is that thing necessary or can I use that "download mode" for using adb and starting the phone.
what commands do I have to enter to start my phone once it is in that respective mode?
hope you can help. looking forward to your answers..!
regards
silvan

Recovering files from OP3 when screen is dead?

Hi!
So I'm new here! Hello everybody
Anyway, I need some help with recovering some files from a friends phone. Here's the catch though:
He has his OEM locked and USB debugging and developer tools disabled... Which means I really can't do anything. Here's the status of the phone:
Phone is on, since it makes the lock sound every time i press the power button.
Screen is black and I'm pretty sure that touch doesn't work either.
I can boot into the bootloader and execute fastboot commands.
Stock recovery is installed.
Not sure that I can do anythings else...
Cheers
I'm in the same sh*ty situation... I hate Oneplus for their last Update that turned OFF the OTG function ! My plan was to blindly activate the USB debuging in the settings using an OTG device...
Did you find anything ?

Rooting LG K9 LM-X210YMW, an impossible task or an interesting challenge?

I've managed to get myself an LG K9 LM-X210YMW (body has CV1 0415 on it), but rooting this device is turning out to be VERY hard. Has anyone else had success? Its running Android 7.1.2 with Kernel 3.10.49+
I've got ole developer options set:
Enable OEM lock is ON
USB debugging is ON
Automatic updates are OFF
It's easy enough to get adb to recognize it:
Code:
evryd4y$ ./adb devices
List of devices attached
LMX210cXXXXXXX device
But rebooting with adb reboot bootloader just reboots it to lock screen.
Methods tried include:
connect then reboot with adb reboot bootloader - this just reboots to lock screen
Power on holding volume DOWN button until LG logo appears - this boots into safe mode
Power on holding volume down and power button - this reboots to safe mode
King o root (YES I know but desperate times call for depserate measures) give error 0x1c8bb4
Tried platform tools (Adb, fastboot) on Linux, Windows, Mac... same results... nothing
BUT I can get it into firmware mode by powering on and holding volume UP. This mode then hangs until I rip the battery out and throw it into space.
Has LG managed to make an un-rootable phone? Are you having the same problems?
I literally have the same problem...

Same problem here with an LM-X210EM, have you had any luck since then?
Only thing I'd like to add is if I "adb reboot recovery" then it reboots to a sick android screen.

Can't access Fastboot mode/ADB

So, I flashed Derpfest A12 ROM, It boots fine but gets stuck on "getting your Android 12 Ready" screen with the animation. I can access wifi and visiblity options but not settings. I flashed TWRP from the official website to install the recovery. But now when I reboot and press Volume Down, TWRP is stuck on boot animation. So I thought just reset using fastboot and start again and pressed volume up and power button but it does NOT work. I tried the volume buttons again in the rom [i can change volume in the starting screen] and they are working. I can press volume down and power button to reboot into recovery and it works fine but gets stuck. So, I just want to have access to adb or fastboot to reset this phone but neither seems possible. I Cant enable advanced reboot in the starting screen. Fastboot doesnt work. ADB not recognizing as it is a new rom and havent enabled it [i enabled in the previous rom]. Thanks for you Help in Advance!
P.S. I have tinkered POCO F1 fairly so I am not totally new to this scene!
EDIT: Thanks for all the replies! But I solved the problem, Idk how but i got access to fastboot mode after some tries and reflashed everything and now it works, also I use linux and the adb drivers and fastboot were in repos so it was easy.
hello,
I am a novice and use a translation tool to write to you (sorry if there are errors...).
Ok I already installed roms (but a long time ago on a OnePlus One...
I have an OP5T, I want to install lineage Os 19.1 on it.
I followed the tutorial on the lineage wiki.
I installed ADB and fastboot well, as well as universal adb driver.
I'm on windows 11, it works.
I enabled debug mode
The adb reboot bootloader command works, so the tel is well seen by the pc and the tel restarts in fastboot mode.
Then nothing, no command (oem unlock) works, the computer does not seem to see such after restarting in fastboot mode.
I read some topic on the net that say that the phone must be in "battery charging" mode and not "file transfer". Me to be visible by adb I have to put it in file transfer mode, otherwise it is not seen.
If I put in recharge mode, same thing to do.
Do you have a tip or should I give up?

You need to install not just the adb drivers, but the fastboot ones as well, see this guide for example. This driver is the one needed for fastboot.
My devices have always been in file transfer mode btw, I've never heard of it needing to be in charging mode only.
No, you don't have to be in "charging only" vs "data transfer".
Still, those of us who distain to be plebian keep our devices in "charging only" (with ADB on) as MTP is beneath our contempt.
(Actually, the problem is that the USB VID/PID sometimes changes with each mode and that you may not have a driver loaded for ADB only.)
