Mi 6 custom recovery - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

I have tried so many way to flash custom recovery in my device. But it get stuck on boot loop. I also checked anti roll back version and it shows anti=1. What should i do?

GT-S7560M - Can't Boot to Recovery

I've been trying to help my friend root his Canadian fido GT-S7560M. We successfully flashed recovery for TWRP 2.7 and Clockworkmod 5, but holding the power button, the volume down key, and the home button, the phone does not boot to recovery.
We were able to boot to stock system recovery by holding both volume keys and the power button, but we were not sure why this recovery wasn't flashed from the operation in Odin, which displayed success in flashing recovery.
Is anyone able to comment on how to boot to recovery on the GT-S7560M, and if it's done differently than normal phones?

Have you tried Power + Vol up + home buttons?

Fido Ace II X here.
A similar thing happened to me. First I flashed TWRP, it would just die as it boots into recovery. Then I flashed CWM, then it booted once and then never again (only booted into the default Android recovery after). Then I tried flashing TWRP again and it worked perfectly.
Just keep flashing until it works. Don't worry about the counter, just use TriangleAway to reset it to 0 after you've flashed your ROM.

Recovery bootloop
Hi, is there any information, why after flashing twrp I cant boot to system. It always ending in recovery whatever option I choose in twrp reboot option.
As you flashed?
You have to do with TWRP-2.8.7.0 with stock recovery does not work.
Works, proven by my.
to restart you've pressed you want to install root?

I had the same issue with both versions - 2.8.7.0 and 3.0.0.0 as well. I have RIO-LO1 single SIM version.
Reboot, Click no install root

It didn t ask me to install root, because after flashing TWRP I installed SuperSU and then tried to reboot.
Should i try to install TWRP, then unroot and then reboot to recovery?

How to turn off updating the stock recovery on Oxygen CMB 3.5.2?

As the title says: How to turn off updating the stock recovery on Oxygen CMB 3.5.2? Everytime I flashed TWRP and booted into it and then booting in system and booting back in recovery it automatically updates the stock Oneplus recovery. A real pain in the ass because when i want to flash something i always need to flash it again.

Head to this thread ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/how-to-dirty-flash-oxygenos-3-5-2-t3462288
it has updater-script.zip in the attachments.
Download it and unzip it,
Open OxygenOS Rom using 7zip or winrar,
goto \META-INF\com\google\android
replace updater-script file.

Copy the recovery to your internal storage. After flashing the rom, select "install image" in twrp and then flash the recovery image. Reboot. Done.
And if you don't wanna go that way, then flash rom, flash supersu, boot. Install flashify, flash twrp. Done.

U guys don't get me right? The stock recovery automatically gets updates. For example I flash twrp and boot into it. Then booting into system and then rebooting in recovery again. Then twrp is gone and it boots me into stock recovery again.

You didn't get me, mate. After flashing the rom don't reboot your phone. Right after flashing the rom via twrp, flash twrp via twrp itself. Idk which part you don't understand because I'm on 3.5.2 with twrp.
Did you try fastboot method to flash TWRP ( fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-19-oneplus3.img ) ?

so after you flash,
did you boot into recovery, rather than booting into OS?
Flash the modified TWRP, once you are in the modified TWRP, flash the normal TWRP, voila, you keep twrp and 3.5.2

I first booted into recovery. I know that if you first boot into OS it replaces it by the stock recovery but this isn't going on here.

Someone said me "do not use FlashFire, it's not working because you have modded system partition". But I can yes? (flash system, vendor, cache from downloaded system image or flash ota from the same image from Google site?)

I have used FlashFire many times on my 5x with no trouble... Download the full firmware package from Google and flash it,. I always chose not to flash recovery though it always defaults to it checked so uncheck it..
Or even easier, download the full OTA image (not the factory image) from Google and just flash it with FlashFire or TWRP. If you use TWRP, remember to reflash SuperSU.

how exactly should i flash twrp in mi max3.

how exactly should i flash twrp in mi max3. Whenever i try, it stucks in mi logo. I tried all the available recoveries and even after that i formatted data, at that point it just stucks at mi logo. So, at that stage i should flash fastboot rom and than it boots normally. Mine is not official global version of the pjone and I m now in official global stayble versiin mi max 3 and just want to install twrp, nothing else. Dobt want to root. Can anyone help please?
