Hello there
I recently bought a Redmi Note 8 (International variant) to have 700MHz (B28 band) LTE.
I received it but this band isn't enabled.
I read in a lot of threads and stuff that this is a common issue and that we need to enable it using QPST.
I tried in the first place to unlock my bootloader and then root my phone to do the `setprop` command, but I have to wait 6 more days.
So I searched how to enable DIAG port for Xiaomi phones, and then I found the USSD code *#*#717717#*#*.
But, when I do this code, I have (after a short while) a pop-up saying "Open diag failed".
What can I do ? Do I really need to wait to unlock my bootloader or is there a workaround ?
Thanks in advance and I apologize for my bad English (I'm french).
I have the same problem, any solution???

i have 11 pieces of this with the same problem. how do i fix this?
I have a n7105, i unlocked it through the hidden menus. the phone was running 4.1.1.
im trying to unlock a n7100 i aquired running 4.1.2, it did not have the Options promp after network unlock. I was told some menus may be missing if i wasnt running 4.1.1/0
I flashed a new 4.1.1 firmware onto the phone and I still have the option missing.
options i have after entering the code into the dialer is
1 debug screen
2 version info
3 umts rf nv
4 gsm rf nv
5 audio
6 common
7 ipc lb test
8 wb amr status
9umts cbs status read
These are nothing like the old settings i had.
Can someone please heklp me with firmware that will have the hidden menu to unlock. I have searched loads for 4.1.0 and had no luck any where.
need to get this done asap as my friend has no phone and needs it for work.
So yeah, can someone please help maybe with a link or direction to the required firmware.
thank.
i do have another account on here but have lost the detaiuls and use a new email.
thanks in advance

This is opinion, not fact, so please take it as such, but from all I've read here, I don't think the same trick can be used to unlock a N7100. It's only the LTE variant that was able to be easily unlocked using the service menu trick.
I did read that the n7100 could be done. But was struggling.
Managed to root it, add su, busybox and used the galaxunlock apk.
Worked in seconds.
Hello XDA-community !
First of all thank you for your great work on development and stuff. I am 32 years old and from Germany. As i have changed my phone from i9300 intl to LG D855 because of the typical limitations on Samsung devices, i would like to know a few things. Please let me know if I misposted my question.
1. Is there any command to adb that can provide bootloader status (locked/unlocked) ? When I used purple drake there has been a line telling me which phone and firmware i am using along with the information my phone is [open]
2. Is there any command to adb that can tell me if my phone is branded by the provider ? (1&1 / Vodafone)
3. When I am using the 3845#*855# dialer-code the hidden menu is showing up, but there is no option for the qfuse mentioned in another post here.
When I am using the dialer-command 2945#*855# the phone will open the sim unlock procedure-menu, but when I tip an option it says (in german):
"your device is permanently locked an cannot be unlocked"
Other phones let you enter a code to unlock (i didn´t buy it, because i do not know how to handle the message)
It would be very kind if you could provide any advice. Thanks and cya.
Hi, this is my first post ^_____^
I live in Argentina, in a trip in Italy I bought that phone, because here in Argentina phones and all technological stuff is really really expansive, my OP3 here is worth 12000AR$ (750€)
My phone hasn't B4, the frecuancy used by all the providers here in Argentina, so i want to unlock it!
I've searched on xda tutorials about how to unlock LTE Bands on qualcomm chipsets but i have a problem
What I already did:
-Unlocked bootloader, root, installed TWRP Recovery
via the toolkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
-Installed QPST
-Installed QXDM
Enter in EngineerMode via the code *#801# and actived Rndis, diag switch
Now, OP3 isn't recognized by my pc in diagnostic mode, in device manager I can see that my pc shows it as "Android" with a yellow triangle in the right corner.
I followed this tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
Should I try with this one?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56577252&postcount=455
Should I install a custom kernel like this one?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/kernel-t3404970
Help me please xoxoxo, Axel
bump
I also need to unlock the band 4. (I'm in Argentina)
For now I think it's not possible. Read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/help/unlocking-lte-bands-t3425871
I'm in the same situation here.... :| It's incredible. The bad luck I have is... one of a kind.
Guys,
I am trying to do the same thing for mi5 and I think I am close of achieving it. But I need the QCN of an OP3 in order to achieve this. Could you provide me one?
If this method works for mi5, I think could work for OP3. I explain it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68989524&postcount=374
Basically it is what @Azlun did for the Nexus5 and Nexus 6.
Thanks
I have bought Galaxy note 7 from UK, but when i tried my sim card I got a message says: Enter unlock sim code so I think the phone locked to O2 UK, Is there any possible way to hack or unlock the phone without getting back to O2 UK?
because the phone right now in UAE
I appreciate any help to solve this issue, I have no problem to pay to get unlocked. Even tried some websites with no luck
Assuming that it is a SM-N930F model you can install custom recovery / root / custom rom if you like, for example this one:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/rom-hydra-rom-v1-0-t3447611
I'm sure any carrier lock is gone after doing this.
But make sure before you start this procedure, to activate developer options, and in developer options menu activate usb debugging and OEM unlock.
