I flashed Xperiamod6 with DooMKernel on my arc... But when I tried to take backup of the particular rom in CWM it is giving me error as error in /sd-ext...
Can anyone tell me how can I take the backup?

Normally, it always skip that step, may be due to your particular rom. I think you should backup stock rom for safety
Hey bro, I hv backed up my stock rom but I want to backup the xperiamod rom also do that if I switched to other Rom,i can switch back to xperiamod without any problem..
i created a nandroid backup using Qcom toolkit. now when i go to restore it using CWM i get an error "Error while restoring /system!" at which point i need to reflash the current rom on the phone in order to boot again. What could be causing this? im running jellybro and the nandroid is of the stock rom rooted with cwm. Thankyou for any help.

I just got in the same boat and now I can't even connect to ODIN properly... Anyoone out there have any ideas?

Haven't seen that before. Make sure youre using the same version recovery you made the backup with. Does it only happen when trying to restore the data partition?

I see that every time i do a backup restore but without issues..Im using CWM latest version if that help...
I have a doubt on how to migrate from one ROM to another ROM while keeping app+data safe?
I tried using titanium backup by creating update.zip and flashed it but the screen gets stuck in twrp saying will boot in 5 seconds and it's stuck there.
I also tried the migrate app developed by XDA member. There was no issue while performing backup but there were Error 7 while restoring.
I want a simple method to backup all my apps and data and easily migrate to another rom.
Can anyone please suggest a method ?
2 days ago i tried to restore using twrp and it had an error while restoring data every time i tried. The red line was "createtarfork() process ended with error 255". I had to install stock rom.
My qestion is why this happens? how to to avoid it?
After flashing rom i tried a a backup from twrp.now backup showed the same problem.reading online i found that before backup i have to remove pascode and fingerprint.after i did that backup was succesfull.but i still dont know the restore procces if it will work.
