I'm not sure what happened.. After receiving the latest firmware ATCH via OTA, then an update on the game pokemon go to version 0.171.2 pokemon go will just freeze after launching the game betweeb 5 to 20 seconds.
It is really annoying. The game still functions fine on my old phone the samsung note 8.
Anyone else having this problem? I'm not sure if it's the pokemon update that created this problem or the firmware update.
Tried clearing data on the pokemon app, re-installing the game, and tried installing it from samsung app store, with phone restarts in between.. Problem still persist.
Tried installing older version of the game by downloading the apk from the net but still the same.

Had exactly the same issue but no luck either.

It's a Niantic issue and seems to affect just the S20 range for Samsung, have seen other brands as well mentioned but since 0.170.0 and the three subsequent updates it just freezes seconds after you log on, i still have an S8+ and even an older S7 Flat and both versions, Google Play and Samsung Store, work fine on them, it's just my S20 Ultra.
Until they force updated it yesterday it was fine to just use version 0.169.3 but that's no use now, plenty of Forum posts about it on popular fan site 'The Silph Road', just have to wait for Niantic to get the finger out.

The list goes on, buggy as crap.
Yes. Unfortunately v0.169 now doesn't work any more and the force update appears

I just updated Netflix from the market and now the videos won't stream. Keeps saying connection error. I've rebooted, wiped cache and even tried to reinstall the app, but when entering my login info, it says please check your date and time settings. I rolled back to a later version of Netflix I had backed up and when loading the screen will go black.
My Internet connection is good and my account is good because I can stream and watch Netflix on my Note 10.1. I can login to the netflix website as well. I was going to call them but I'm pretty sure they would just tell me to reboot, re install and that would be it.
Anyways, I'm wondering if anybody else is having issues with Netflix on their Note 3. Wondering if it has anything to do with root or something. I'm running MyRom1.1 as well

What version of Netflix did you roll back to? I tried rolling back on mine and I kept getting a blank screen. Even used Titanium backup fixer after restoring and says check Internet connectivity.
Version 2.1.2 build 787 I have the same rom you have and was having the same problem I'm waiting to see if any permanent solution for over at the myrom section nothing yet I tried setting it to Canada time zone but still same thing but get that version it's a temporary fix for now.

I have heard of this issue on the SGS4, but the solution was simple, uninstall the App, restart phone then reinstall the App. Can't say for positive if it will work, but it was recommended for S4 and worked.

Hello Guys,
I have been having this problem from quite some time now (And frankly I don't remember since when).. Whenever my apps are getting updates from the Google Play Store, my mobile becomes painfully slow and lags majorly. It like as if you are using Jellybean on a device meant for Android Eclairs! My system is neither rooted not modified. I had the same problem even on 4.1.2 so it is not the firmware issue. My Note II has Kaspersky antivirus installed which checks every new and updated app. I thought it may be because of this so I uninstalled the app but still no effect Toggling Power Saving Mode On/Off does not make any difference either
I have no idea what is causing it and it is really troublesome.. I have A LOTT of apps and sometimes it updates almost 10 12 apps in a go which is really irritating with the lag!!
Have have chosen any option that is causing this?? Or any app??
Please help me with this
Cheers!
I have the same issue and I thought it started with update to Android 4.3, but it is probably due to update of Play Store application, now that you say you also had this problem on 4.1.2... Everything is smooth (ROM) except when I'm updating apps, it freezes so much I'm unable to do anything and I remember I used to run "update all" and then go back to Launcher and did other things while update run in the back... now it is slowing down the system... I wondered if it is a problem with XPrivacy module, but probably not...
Has anybody got any help on this?

Edit: Problem solved itself over time.
Hello everyone.
Like mentioned in the title the tablet only shows apps under my Apps in the Play Store, I downloaded or updated manually in the Play Store. It also doesn't show preinstalled Apps like Chrome,Gmaps or YouTube in the Application manager, unless I looked them up and manually update them in the Play Store. I had exactly the same problem yesterday with an Samsung Galaxy Trend (GT-S7560), but after some messing around and several restarts the apps suddenly showed up and everything worked fine then. Sadly I don't know what fixed it on the phone. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this problem? It isn't a huge problem, but with all the Android devices I set up, I never encountered this except with these two Samsung devices.
Many Thanks in advance!

Sorry forgot to mention that I already tried it, sadly, without success. It was one of the last things I did before it worked on the phone, didn't worked on the tablet yet.
What play store version do you have?
Sent from my GT-P6210 using Tapatalk
The problem solved itself again! Just as I went to look up the Play Store version (4.5.10 btw.), the apps appeared under the "All" category and in the Application manager, could update them and everything works fine now. Really strange that this occurred with two Samsung devices on two following days. Thanks anyway for your help!
Nice!!

My apps on the play store don't seems to be updating even after I manually press update, it takes more than an hour to start. I have a stable internet connection (wifi) and loads of space. Any advice?
Clean google playstore app cache and data. And try to download apps
Sometimes it's an error from the playstore, just clear data and wait for couple hours and try again

If you have installed TrueCaller, uninstall it to update the apps from PlayStore.
Thank you, uninstalling did the trick. But why does this happen?
Truecaller is the culprit in my case

It was truecaller culprit in my case just uninstall it and restart the phone your playstore should resume to normal function
So truecaller prevents apps from updating. That's not good
Hey guys,
After the latest update, I have been getting Google sync error, and then there's the play store error where I cannot download apps.
Sync and app downloads happen at their own time and have tried from clearing playstore services cache to resetting the phone to factory settings.
Hard reset works but the issue returns. Does anyone else have this issue? Please do comment
Hi Im having the same problem after update...tried everything but apps are not updating..

Do you have any suspected app?! Like truecaller
1) Simply try restart.
2) Uninstall True caller and restart.
3) Network setting reset. Settings - Advanced settings - Backup & Reset
4) Factory Reset

damn seems honor screwed it uo big time, approached their CS for rollback steps but the person has no clue. Local service center is rated 2star, you know what happens there....
Deleting true caller worked for me as well. This is strange though.
Deleted Tapzo started working fine will wait to be more sure

I suspect Honor's rigorous battery saving mechanism has to do something with it, both True caller and Tapzo are quite invasive apps, they want to display more ads and need more access to info on phone. I hope they attend to this emailed their support.
Yeah I guess thats the reason, downloading apps after getting the update has become an issue though. I hope they fix it soon.

Strange things are happening. Like some apps refuse to update until I uninstall them and reinstall again.
Don't know if this is an issue with Google or Huawei.

I think it's Huawei to blame, but what surprises me is that Huawei is clueless about this, and except for the standard troubleshoot they've got nothing.
Especially since smartphones are more capable than ever I feel like they could at least have some diagnostics to run and ID whats causing such simple issues.
May be if they really listen, they might release a patch soon. So far most of their cs are clueless and are technically incapable.
I guess Google is to be blamed because I encountered this error 497 on my previous device as well. By using VPN, this error goes away.

Hi
I have got a new Redmi note 8T recently and it was a nightmare setting it up. Mostly because some apps did not install easily (over WiFi)
Eventually, just as I was about to give up and return it, I tried with 4G and they installed fine.
I assumed maybe the phone was trying to do too much at once but now the problems are exactly the same with updates. Some go in fast and perfect, others just crawl and get stuck.
I have cleared the playstore app cache, rebooted phone but still not right.
Anyone seen this before or can advise on a solution?
Phone was of Amazon UK, using in the UK
The WiFi itself is good surfing the net and when run tests.
Cheers

Looks like Play Store itself has an issue, I had it with my note 8. They seem to have addressed the issue recently though, so give the latest version a try.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/google-play-store-19-1-52-release/
Also try clearing data of Play Services.
Thanks, just updated it.
After my starter post, I decided to update apps over 4G and the problem was still there. Seems the problem is random??
An app that I struggled to update last night, just flew in over WiFi this morning.

Play store is an odd thing to work with, sometimes things work and sometimes they don't.
Give it some time and see if it resolves itself.
Thanks for the help to who replied.
I have reset it again and started again from scratch.
To be honest, I think the issue was random with the play store.
It seems OK now.
