Phone died over night, won't turn on. Any help? - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

My LG G7 seems to have died over night. I left it on a Qi pad to charge and after I woke up this morning, it was completely dead. I could not turn it on with the power button ow Vol- and power button. The phone shows no reaction.
I thought that I might have misplaced it on the charger (The phone is quite picky with the right spot) and plugged in my USB charger for about 10 Minutes until i tried to start it up again. No reaction. Tried Vol+ and Power and also Vol- and Power with no luck.
Then I started to investigate and plugged a USB power meter in between phone and charger.
My first try was a cabled USB connection, the power meter shows 5,1V with about 100mA (varying between 90mA and 110mA) and I left it charging for about an hour. Still no luck with any method of turning it on.
Then just to try it out, i placed it on my Qi pad with the power meter attached, which got me 9V with about 200mA, so the Qi hardware apparently is transmitting power. Also left it there for about an hour, still no luck.
I noticed some kind of buzzing sound coming from the phone while charging, if I place my ear directly on the phone. A similar but different noise is emitted by the phone when it is not charging and I hold the power button.
Does anyone here have an idea which might return the phone to life?
As I still have warranty, I consider sending it in. I have backups of the important stuff, but I would really like to avoid sending it in with all the private stuff sill on the internal memory...

HELP. Kindle fire Dead

I rooted the kindle fire with the KFU, and was working fine for a few days. The battery got to low and now if i plug it into the wall charger it goes into the boot loop. Plugging it into usb port on the computer just gets me the green flashing power light.
i bought a factory cable thinking this might help resolve things, but when i plug in the factory cable NOTHING happens no power light, nothing comes on the screen pushing the power button nothing happens. I don't know what else to do.
If not plugged into anything pushing the power button does nothing. If i have it plugged in and pull the power it dies. I am lost, i just want to get back to the stock KF interface. HELP.
i am downloading the tools for the firekit, is this what i need to fix it? I didn't install FFF, or anything like that, which as i am reading now was a mistake.
Thank you for your help.
I had this problem recently but not as quite as bad.
Hold your power button for 30 seconds to ensure that it's completely turned off.
Have your usb cable plugged into the computer and then plug it into the device.
About a half second after you plug it into the device hold the power button for 30 to shut it off again and leave it plugged into the computer for at least a day. Of you're lucky, the power didn't drain too far to ever charge it with the usb port.
After that you're looking at replacing the battery or charging it manually. But you can forget about charging it manually though because it is extremely dangerous.
(Lithium + explosion = bad)
firekit worked...
thats good to hear because for many it doesnt

HTC M8 not turning on or charging

Today, when i was charging my phone when it was around 20%, it didnt charge well and gave a message that the phone was draining more than it was charging. I shut my phone at let it charge, but the orange light started to blink on and off so it wasnt charging right. I tried different plugs and chargers but same deal.
Now the light doesnt come on at all, so im assuming all the battery is dead. I checked online a bit for solutions like pressing the power button and up/down button for a while, doing so under a light, leaving it charging for a while, trying to charge with my laptop usb. But nothing seems to be working.
When I try the power and up/down combo and then charge it, the light comes back for a few seconds but then vanishes. I dont know if this means anything, but in any case, I cant get my phone on so i need help. Is there anything I havent tried?
Sounds like a hardware problem, but I'm no expert. I'd take it to a repair place.

I had a similar issue months back with my m8. The micro usb port contacts had weakened and I had to put pressure on top of the area where the cable connects to the phone just to get it to charge. I was still under warranty, so I ended up taking mine back to ATT and getting it replaced for free, with them calling it a defect.
Try putting pressure on different parts of the cable when you charge it, and use a program like gsam battery monitor, to make sure it's drawing power. This will only be a temporary fix, though.

I have no idea what is going on here.

I recently bought my Zenfone 2 from Gearbest and when it came, I let it charge a bit. I eventually got it to boot with about 8% of a charge. I then left it for a while when I did something. When I came back, I found my phone to be shut down and when I tried to boot it up, it shown a low battery icon. Very weird since it was plugged into my PC the entire time.
I then started the phone once again. But when I pressed the power button, it shut down instead of sleeping.
I repeated turning it on a few times. Every time I pressed the power button to make it go to sleep, it instead shut down. Eventually, it stopped booting entirely. There is no vibration, indicator light, or screen. When I plug it in, the top half of the phone heats up significantly. I have had no luck trying to revive it.
I have tried:
Letting it charge for about an hour.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.
Pushing both volume and power.
The phone is running pure stock as I only had about 30 minutes of total screen on time.
Your pc probably isn't supplying enough power. Use a dedicated wall charger.

When I originally plugged into my PC, it was charging. I have also moved to the wall charger that came in the box.

Phone suddenly went dead- super rapid cycle- no boot?

HI All,
I recently did an unlock and ROM install and phone went great for a week or so, but now the phone suddenly shut down while on, and apparently with battery (my daughter says!) and now wont turn on at all.
If i plug it into a charger the battery filling icon turns on and the power LED lights up but then it seems to cycle off again very quickly and then stays in this cycle.
I have tried power + volume up and down combos but so far no luck. Any suggestions?
Leave the phone on wall charger for several hours. Then try holding power for a minute or so (it takes that long in certain "stuck" conditions). Also try holding power+vol up for a minute or so.
But what you describe (charge LED appears, then goes out) makes me think you may have a bad battery.

LG G4 Just killed itself. Plugged in and no charging screen or charge LED

I put my phone down on the table and left. I came back and pressed the power button and it did nothing. I thought that was weird and held the power button and it didn’t turn back on. I then plugged in the device and still nothing happened. No charging LED or charge screen or anything. It is just black. I took the battery out and held the button for 30 seconds and put it back and plugged it in and nothing. I got out my USB volt meter and noticed that it is drawing power from the charger but the screen isn’t lighting up and the charge LED isn’t lighting up for whatever reason. I put in another battery I had laying around and nothing changed. Is this phone just dead or is there still hope in recovering it. I have no idea why it killed itself for no reason. Any ideas to try that can fix this?

Connect it to your pc and watch the device manager while doing so. You will likely notice a new device QHSUSB_BULK beneath other devices . If that's the case (99% chance it is) then you got catched by the ilapo ( see my signature for bootloop fix thread for workarounds which MAY work)
