Hi, i'm trying to solve an interferance problem of a huawei p20 lite ane-LX3 with some wireless earbuds.
Long story short, the phone doesn't have 5ghz natively, and i was wondering if this was due to software.
Question is, if i were to install Lineage, would i be able to connect to a 5ghz wi/fi and avoid the interference issue?
Thx

No. LineageOS uses the hardware drdivers from stock ROM. Sometimes you get less functionality due to undocumented interfaces. Never heard of a improved hardware support.

Hi,
I've just bought a drone with a 5,8 Ghz Wifi camera in order to do Back control video.
The problem is that my oppo Find 7 can't detect this Wifi signal. Why?
It seem's to be an Android limitation because it appears that Iphones do not have any problems.
Do you think it is possible to bypass this with a custom Kernel?
Regards
Steph.

Not sure anyone will be able to help with this appreciate its a long shot, i've bought a Garmin Vivosmart fitness tracker and it connects to the phone via Bluetooth, now it all works mint except if i go out of range with the bluetooth the phone and garmin are supposed to reconnect automatically but it doesn't i have to unpair and then repair which isn't the end of the world but is a pain in the backside, looking on the garmin forums lots of people with M8's saying the same so there seems to be an issue with the way HTC - Garmin bluetooth works, some phones seem to work perfect (as in other android phones) so it doesn't seem a generic android-garmin issue, just wondering if anyone has had the same issue with any other bluetooth equipment and managed to find a cure ?
also if anyone know if custom roms mess about with bluetooth and the way it works, tempted to try an AOSP rom or CM to see if the bluetooth works properly but i do like sense so would prefer to stick with what i got, using Insertcoins Sense 7 rom, might go back to official sense 6 and see if that works also...
thanks for any suggestions...

It worked fine for me with KitKat.
Friday evening I upgraded to LolliPop. (Did a clean install, no data restore from backup)
Since then I have the same problem. Once you lose your Bluetooth connection it won't reconnect anymore.
You have to unpair and the repair in order to be connected again. A real pain in the ass, as I use it only for the notifications on the bracelet.
I have had a Vivosmart since the week they came out. I had a lot of the BT issues the first few months (mainly due to their software being released before it was really production ready) but has been fine since. I'm rooted and have ran a few different roms without an issue. Currently I'm using SkyDragon's Sense 7 rom. I haven't had to pair to my phone due to disconnects for at least a couple months. Are you pairing from with-in the Connect app? At one time the pairing was done via the regular android BT devices but they got rid of that and now pair from the app only. So technically your Vivosmart shouldn't ever show up on the list of installed/connected BT devices because it's only paired from the Connect app. I'm sure you've been on the garmin forum but if you haven't or someone else reading this hasn't it's here https://forums.garmin.com/forumdisplay.php?478-vivosmart. I've seen posts over there about m8 users having problems but don't remember reading if anyone was able to get the problem fixed and what they did. It doesn't make sense that it works for some (like me).
Hello,
I have same problem with Garmin Fenix 3. Apparently there is some bug in HTC ONE M8 Android 5.0.1
I am able to connect and connection is quite stable but watch wont reconnect automatically.
Usually it will reconnect once you reset BT on phone and than on watch. But its quite annoying so I am also looking for solutions. Any idea? Ive tried to add watch to trusted device under smart lock but its not working either. I know most Garmin devices worked on previous version of android on HTC ONE M8 but with Lollipop its bugged..

G'day wakers,
I have had exactly the same problem with my m8. I also have only used insertcoin rom which may be part of the problem as I have an identical m8 with stock lollipop (never unlocked or rooted) and it has no problems with the vivosmart or Garmin Fenix BLE connection.
I have since sold my m8 and traded up to an m9, which is still stock, but I'm reluctant to flash custom Rom as the Bluetooth works perfectly... On the other hand, stock roms drive me mental with bloatware and ads.
If you try another Rom I'd be very interested to hear how you go...as it may give me some confidence to unlock my brand new m9.
Cheers.

I'm experiencing an even worst problem with no pairing at all with my fenix 3 and Garmin Connect with Cyanogenmod 12.1 .
I've done the test with a Samsung SII, Oneplus X and Oneplus One. All pairing fail and all with Cyanogenmod 12.1
It's working well with a Samsung Galaxy S5 ! So if one Cyanogenmod developper is reading this, can you please let us know if this bug is known, or if you can log it, and i can help some troubleshooting as well.

Solution found on my side by realizing that one dialog box is not scaled in Garmin Connect and so the "yes" button is not visible in material design. I've understood this by rolling back to Cyanogenmod 11 and see the process.
Workaround is to use a language with shorter words like english. My initial set was in French. So if it can help somebody else with Garmin Connect, use it
Each time I use Mi6 via bluetooth in car to answer/make calls - first call goes OK, and all others not - people I talk to don't hear me. It happena in 4 different cars so it's not car's problem. Mi5 was OK. I run 7.1.1 NMF26X global beta. miui 8 7.6.8 global beta. And can't solve it myself. Tried deleting and re-adding cars, restarted phone - nothing helped. When I switch to phone during call - it's OK. As soon as I switch back to car - same problem. No one hears me and I hear everyone.
Any1?
I'm sorry but I can't test because I don't have any Bluetooth devices.
Not using any bluetooth device either.

Ok, one by one.
1. My phone does not see andriod wear app on my smart clock with bluetooth --> My watch works, did you unpair your watch with old phone first? Android wear watch can only connect to 1 phone.
2. There's personal hotspot, you can see it in the settings menu.
3. GPS needs time to find your phone, you need to have wifi (or mobile data connection to assist the phone), if it located your phone, next time GPS will work faster.
It is a different issue with me: when paired with a BT device with the "phone audio" profile enabled, despite picking up the call on via pressing the green button on the touchscreen, it still defaults to the BT device (and I have to switch audio back to "phone" before the other person cuts off after hearing nothing). This is on the global ROM 8.2.2.0...
The global ROM seems buggy as hell...

Hello Friend.
The same happens to me.
It connects to bluetooth but I have no output or audio input.
Did you get it fixed?
Thank you
Everyone.
This is not xiaomi's problem.
This problem is due to oreo's new bluetooth stack.
There is no current solution to this. I've searched far, wide and deep.
Android has a great track record in keeping the bluetooth stack broken.
If you try to search google, you will find out that not only xiaomi phones have this problem.
The only theoretical solution is to port old bluetooth blobs, and somehow make it work. But as far as i know, no one has done this before.
There is hope that android pie will fix this. But from what i read, early builds of pie still has this problem.
Hi all, I'm an app developer and have a few users using my app which gets streaming data from bluetooth using Bluetooth SPP / RFCOMM profile. On an older Nexus 10 tablet running 5.1.1, the connection is very reliable and rarely drops.
For the smartphone version, I've provided my users with a Nexus 5x running Android 8.1. They report that the BT connection drops at least 1-2x a day and requires restarting the app / phone / BT device, or some combination thereof. From Googling, I've concluded the Nexus 5x has general bluetooth reliability issues and I may have to switch devices (and maybe that BT in general just sucks).
That being said, does anyone know is either an older OS or even custom ROM for the Nexus 5x might be better for what I'm trying to do? Just trying to get some inputs before systematically testing. Thanks!

I'm curious to know what you're developing. I've been using the custom Official LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1) ROM on my Nexus 5x for 2 years now and I am able to use my BT headset for phone calls and stream music to my BT speakers with no issues and I stream music a lot . I'm not sure if this information is helpful, but LineageOS 15.1 might work for your needs.

Thank you!
I have the European version of the RN8P (QGGEUXM) with MIUI 11 and Android Q, it have a well wifi reception and can get great transmision speeds, but whith my bluetooth headphones connected it becames on a very poor conection.
Making tests with Fast and other conection tools i only get the 33% of my total wifi speed having a werable conected to de device via bluetooth.
To the test i used a Altec lansing A2DP headphones, and a generic smb ones
The latency also breaks down, having a video call is basicly impossible.
I havent finded people with the same problem and the same device, so i decided post it here to see if there is more users with this issue or i the only one.

Yes, I have the same problem.
I have the global version QGGMIXM MIUI 11 and Android Q.
I think I've read that it's a problem that occurs when you're only connected to 2.4 MHz WiFi networks.
With 5 MHz WiFi networks this problem is not given.
I don't think there is a simple solution as this problem is old and I have not seen any valid solution.
Greetings.
